There are fractals, pieces of stained-shattered glass in intrinsic patterns dancing, dancing all over the walls. It dazzles his eyes and makes his head spin. He’s not quite certain why he’s here, because honestly, being at a museum with a display on physics has absolutely nothing to do with pokemon training, right?

But they’re pretty, they really are, in a nice way, not like fluffy, frilly things girls like. Ash rubs the back of his neck self-consciously, unsure of how exactly he feels.

It is a brilliant display though, and since he likes it, he busy a cheap kaleidoscope at the gift shop, looks at the changing patterns of sequins and glitter in the bottom as he spins the knob around. It’s funny how mirrors can make such beautiful stars…

He stashes it in his backpack, and then runs off to find his friends.

End Fic

My eyes hurt. No romance in this fic, just Ash being a bit too introspective…
