Ash happily tore the bright yellow Pikachu-print paper off his present. Candice grinned, surprised that he had dropped by to visit. It was his birthday, but he wasn’t spending it with his mom and his traveling companions this year. Instead, he’d chosen to come see her!

It made her happy. She can trust more in their relationship, too. After all, it was hard, with Ash traveling all the time…

She fervently hoped that he hadn’t found another girl!

Ash’s eyes lit up at the sight of the cute red mittens and matching scarf. “Wow!”

Now he wouldn’t be cold when he came to visit!

“Do you like them?” Candice asked shyly.

“I love them.” He said honestly, before kissing her. They both blushed when they broke apart.

Ash could be very spontaneous in his shows of affection…

She hugged him tightly, and kissed him again. They had some more of the delicious chocolate cake his mom had sent by mail, and then they went outside to play in the snow.

Pikachu smiled, and ran out to join them.

Master was happy, and that was the most important thing.
