Sabrina does not get nostalgic often. She has no reason to – most of her life is a cruel, controlled blank that she would rather forget. She really had no reason to live, no reason to exist, until Ash freed her from her shell and brought light and laughter into her life.

Remembering Ash is always very nice, and she leans back on her throne as she watches Haunter and Kadabra play tag. She wonders if he still remembers her, or if he’s forgotten, if she’s just one in a long line of people he’s helped saved.

She fervently hopes not, and the unexpected knock at the door, revealing Ash with Pikachu perched on his hat, makes her almost giddy.

No, Sabrina does not need to be nostalgic, because she has what she wants already.
