Parukia and Diaruga had fought well, but despite the Dragon Master’s prowess, they fell to Arceus and Cyrus at last.

The leader of Team Galactic laughed triumphantly. Now there was no one to oppose him!

Arceus was his!

With the last of his strength, Dragonite whacked the Heaven’s Flute out of the evil man’s hand.

Lance moved swiftly, clasping it to her chest.

Cyrus frowned. What was he going to do?

That was when the redheaded woman stabbed her self through the heart with the flute. Cyrus’s eyes widened as the delicate glass shattered.

“Damn it!”

Bloody shards began to fall, as Lance gave an ironical half-smile, blood dripping from her lips.

“I hope… that with this act… I’ve been redeemed.”

That was when the ledge she was standing on gave way, and crumbled.

Master! Her dragons screamed, as she began to fall.

Arceus shuddered, before the unnatural glaze faded from its eyes. Such power was not meant to be in human hands, especially those of Cyrus!

He would not be controlled any longer!

Cyrus and his fallen executives had little time to flee, before they faced Judgment. The energy was white, blindingly pure power.

There was no way to survive it.

Scenes flashed before Lance’s eyes as she dropped through the air. So it ended now.

Goodbye, Red…

The Kanto Champion had been the only one worthy to join the Elite Four, and his heart – he had power of his own, not granted by the Forest, but something unique…

Inside the Battle Frontier, a single tear ran down a statue’s stone face.

The granite began to crack.

“Lance!”

This plotbunny has been floating in my head for ages… finally wrote it down. Red is still a statue along with the other color trainers, and no one knows what happened to Lance after GSC, so…

I think it would be a cool ending, maybe 8 chapters of Lance VS Cyrus, and ending with Red breaking free from stone and having flashbacks of his lover. And I could work ‘Change of Heart’ into the flashbacks too. ^^ And have Lance’s dragons bring her body back to Kanto. I’m such a dork…
