“I’m fine, really.” Red stopped talking with a blush as Lance reached into his jacket and pulled out a handkerchief – a white one, elegant silk, with his initials in silver thread along the edge. She fidgeted uncomfortably as Lance wrapped it around her bleeding finger. Really, if she hadn’t been clumsy enough to catch her hand in the door, she wouldn’t be caught in this embarrassing situation! She tried not to breathe too obviously as Lance tied a knot efficiently, grinning.

“Sorry, Red. That’s the best I can do. You might want to have someone look at it later.”

“This is perfect, I mean, it’s good.” She stuttered. “Thanks!” She colored as her voice slid up the squeak scale on the note. Why was she so uncomfortable? Lance smiled, before he released Red’s hand. His fingers were gentle, even in their white gloves… bad thoughts! Bad thoughts!

She tried not to meet his eyes, but that was when Lance put a hand on her shoulder, comfortably.

“You seem a bit stressed, Red. Are you worried about something? You can tell me, you know.”

              Red colored. “It’s…”

            “Are you still in pain?”

“Oh! No! Not that!” After the words had left her mouth, Red realized that it would have been the perfect excuse. Lance blinked at her, before leaning downwards.

“Then I think I’ll help you relax a bit…” He murmured, before he kissed the surprised black-haired girl. Eyes blinked wide open in surprise as Lance slid a hand behind her head to support her.

She moaned into the kiss, not resisting, and they broke apart when she began to feel light-headed.

That had actually been kind of nice…

Lance smirked, and said nothing more, enjoying the way their relationship had just shifted.

Rant, rant, and rant! My eyes hurt. Yes. And I am not joining this LJ community because I’m too lazy to write 500 words for each theme.
