Pink blobs danced across the ceiling as they stood in the bluish light of the aquarium. It reflected pale highlights off their dark clothing, and she tightened her arms around her lover’s waist.

            It would be all right.

The elevator chimed, and they watched as the girl stepped out, black hair bobbing in little pigtails. The heart-shaped brooch on her chest glittered.

“We want to tell you something, Ash.” Red spoke, her ruby eyes hard.

“What is it?” Ash asked, still busy staring at all the fish and sea life swimming around. “Wow… this aquarium is so pretty! Can I bring my friends here sometime?”

“Ash, we didn’t invite you here to exchange pleasantries.” Lance said, her voice sharp. Her black cape undulated behind her, and in the skintight bodysuit patterned with bits of red, Ash was hard-pressed to tell she was a girl.

No wonder they had never guessed who Neptune and Uranus were…

“We’re here to give you an ultimatum.” Red grinned. “We’re going after the talismans today. Stay out of our way.”

“You can’t! Someone will die!” Ash cried.

“Pity.” Lance murmured, before she pinned the younger girl to the ground and ripped off her locket. “But you won’t be able to do anything without this.”

With that, the two transformed and escaped, and as Ash ran out, she saw a helicopter in the distance.

            No…

She fell to her knees and sobbed, though for the loss of power or the loss of friendship she was still unsure, and above her head, the jellyfish floated on peacefully.

Not sure if this is G or not, but there’s no cursing and romance, only vaguely implied, so…
