It’s hard to stay loyal in a world where nothing matters. Red knows this, so he never goes to events without Lance. He’s too afraid he’ll drink too much and wind up in bed with a scantily clad slut.

Lance on the other hand, does not seem to have any problems turning down offers, and so Red doesn’t fret when his lover goes out alone, not even when Betsy Cupid tries to sue Lance for knocking her up.

One DNA test is all that it takes to prove that his lover is innocent, and Red never doubts, not even for a moment, that she was a lying whore.

Lance smiles, and holds Red close, and they don’t need words to express the affection between them. They don’t need to touch, either, but it makes him feel better, so he snuggles in Lance’s arms and purrs.

Having Lance around makes everything bearable, even this.
