He’s dead, and it’s all. My. Fault.

Of course, to be completely fair, it’s really the fault of the Kanto Governing Council. There were rumors of suspicious activity in Lavender Town, and they wanted us to look into it. Since I was the Head of the Elite, they told me to take care of the problem, and since he was our best shot, we decided to send him in without any backup. He had a good team of pokémon and he was brave, besides, it was probably just a restless spirit, so we didn’t worry.

Except he didn’t come back…

I sent Lorelei and Bruno then, and they found him, or what remained of him. It seems that the Lavender Town Pokemon Tower had been a trap. They wanted to kill us all, but Bruno managed to disarm the mines and Lorelei’s Jynx teleported them out in the nick of time when the secondary systems kicked in.

Now, they’re coming for the rest of us, but it doesn’t matter. I’m ready for them. My pokémon and I will fight to the end. They’re not taking the Dragon Master down so easily, my loves.

Wait for me, Red. I promise I’ll bring company.
