There was a man there, a strange man in a mask, but it was the masquerade ball at the Opera Populaire and she drew nearer to him, entranced.

His voice… it seemed so familiar…

“Are you my Angel?” Red breathed, daring to hope.

He did not speak, but he lifted her gloved hand to his lips and kissed it. She colored, not daring to move.

It must be the Angel…

They danced all night long, but as the clock began to strike midnight, he vanished, and she was left with nothing.

That night, Red slept in her dressing room, and no voice came to sing her to sleep.

In his room, Lance sighed, and wondered if the liberty he had taken would break their relationship.
