“Red,” Lance remarked, “Don’t you ever find life amusing?”

Red blinked as he opened his eyes from his position lounging on the Dragon Master’s bed. “What makes you say that?”

“The fact that our esteemed President Goodman is tap-dancing in a pink tutu on national television. Obviously, he is unfit to rule over the League Council, wouldn’t you agree, love?”

“Oh, readily.” Red grinned, sitting up to get a better look at the computer screen. He giggled at the sight of the portly gray-haired man’s antics. “What is he trying to prove? That he’s flexible?”

“I do not purport to understand the mind of that madman.” Lance pulled Red into a kiss. “But it will help him fall, won’t it?”

“I wonder if Lorelei’s doing it.” Red beamed, flushed from the kiss.

“No ice cuffs, so it’s not her, though I wouldn’t put it past our devious Elite.”

“But the Elite are not the only ones unhappy with his regime. The gym leaders are also quite irritated…”

Lance cracked a grin. “ Precisely.”

Morty and Sabrina exchanged triumphant looks as Goodman began to strip, causing shrieks of outrage and disgust.

The next day, he was impeached and a week later, he stepped down. By that time, he was foaming at the mouth and no one with any sense would have wanted him in charge anyway.

No one knew what had really happened, and those that did were not telling, but now, the time of comedy was over, and real growth could occur in the Indigo Region, without him at the helm.

It’s late and I want to sleep, but like a good author, I’m still chugging away. Sheesh. No one appreciates me. *Runs off to closet to angst*

Perhaps I won’t write this until tomorrow. It seems a very hard prompt for some reason…
