Lance is 16 in case anyone wants to know…

Chapter 5

A few weeks passed peacefully enough. Lance and Ash would go train with his pokemon every day, and then at night, they would tell each other stories and play games. Plus, they ate all their meals together.

            Ash blushed.

            “What’s wrong?” Lance inquired kindly.

Ash knew he shouldn’t be thinking, but… having Lance with him, real and protecting him, it was… he didn’t want it to stop… he wouldn’t let Lance leave, he wanted all of him…

“Lance…” He didn’t know how to put it into words though, so he pressed himself against the older boy’s chest and kissed him hard.

Lance stared in shock, not knowing quite what to say. Certainly, he was attracted to the boy, because of his cute looks, but…

Ash wiggled slightly, as Lance blushed, feeling his blood rushing to a different area. “Ash…”

            “Do you like me?”

“Of course.” Lance didn’t lie, as he held Ash gently. “But you’re only twelve…”

            “So?”

            “You’re not worried at all?”

“Worried about what?” Ash blinked. He suddenly became aware of a hard object poking him in the side.

“This.” Lance said, grinding his hips against Ash’s for emphasis. Ash blushed, as his own body stirred in response.

            “No.”

            “No? Are you certain?”

            “Hai.”

“Very well then.” Lance said. Ash mewled, before Lance pounced.

The pokemon didn’t watch, but they did laugh amongst themselves.

Ash didn’t bother to ask if Lance loved him. He didn’t need to know. Afterwards, he and Lance sat and watched the sunset, before Delia called them in for dinner.

“Now this will be our secret.” Lance said.

“Hai.” Ash said, eyes bright with anticipation.

He smiled as Lance kissed him lightly, before they went inside.

“I have to leave in three days.” Lance told Ash that night.

“Oh… I see… well, I’m glad you stayed with me.” Ash blushed.

“You’re such a kawaii child.” Lance whispered. “I don’t mind spending all my free time with you.”

The Elites had to stay in Indigo Plateau 9 months each year.

It made sense, though, in a twisted way, but that didn’t make them feel better.

They slept in each other’s arms, but there was nothing sexual in it. Ash just liked being held.

So Lance left, and Ash went journeying again.

            “Alakazam! Psychic!”

There went all of Koga’s pokemon. It was easy.

Alakazam smiled. < This was not too difficult. >

            “You did great!”

Koga handed him the Soul badge with a smile.

The trouble was trying to get out of the gym…

Ash spent twenty frustrated minutes before suddenly he realized, that… he could just use Teleport.

            Well, he tried.

Apparently the gym was teleport-proof and fly-proof, and dig-proof as well…

Still, finally he found the exit.

Charmander jumped up and down happily as he finished off the junior trainer’s Weepinbell.

Why Blaine’s assistant used grass-types was up for grabs.

            Oh well.

            “Go, Vileplume!”

“I’m afraid that’s not going to help. Charmander, use Flamethrower!”

“That’s enough!” Vileplume was already a-flaming though.

Blaine walked out. “Step down, Alice. I’ll fight him now.”

            Ash smiled. “Squirtle, you’re up!”

Rapidash’s speed was no good as Surf took it out, as well as Arcanine. Blaine smiled, before calling out Magmar.

Squirtle was recalled, while Ash pondered. Pikachu’s attacks would just bounce off the air shield…

            Maybe…

            “Pidgeotto, I choose you!”

Pidgeotto screeched her cry as she used Sand-Attack.

Certainly, no damage was done, but Magmar couldn’t hit _her_ either, and that was the important part.

            She charged for Razor Wind.

Magmar used Fire Blast, but it missed completely, which was good. Razor Wind hit!

            Ash smiled.

“Well, here’s the Volcano Badge. I suppose the rumors were true…”

Ash pinned the badge to his vest and then flew off to Viridian.

Time to face the last badge…

To his surprise, Giovanni was absent. With a sigh, Ash left the gym.

            “Ash!”

“Hm?” Ash blinked. “Brock? Haven’t seen you in a while.”

            “Shh! Haven’t you heard?”

            “Heard what?”

“Ten minutes ago, Team Rocket just announced that they were taking over Kanto! Bruno, Surge, sold us out to Giovanni! He’s the head of Team Rocket!”

            “What?”
“You’ve got to get out of here!”

            “But-.”

“I’m a gym leader, I’m safe for now!”

Ash nodded, as he climbed on Pidgeotto’s back and they flew off.

He hoped Lance was all right…
