Chapter 5

It started off as a normal school day. However, due to the unexpected test on Romeo and Juliet in English, it put Misty in a bad mood, and she, shall we say, accidentally blurted out the engagement affair (again, or at least a variant) while yelling at a random male. Why? Well…

“I’m _not_ her fiancée!” Ash cried.

“Of course he is!” Misty batted her eyelashes at the crowd of males, who began to boil with ire.

Ash glared, and released his two electric mice. They fried most of the crowd. The rest… well, they didn’t meet a much better fate.

Charizard was quite angry at being disturbed from his nap…

“I am _not_ her fiancée.” Ash repeated angrily. “I don’t know where she got that idea into her head.”

“How dare you badmouth Misty?” A previous date cried. “I shall punish you!” And then she’ll want to go out with me again!

At least, that’s what the poor fool thought.

Poor fool, he makes me laugh, Hahahaha…

            Ash grinned. “Oh?”

Jack really didn’t survive at _all_.

            Pity, that…

Well, he deserved it, if one looks at it that way.

“So do you already have a girlfriend?” Christine asked; she had her eye on Ash as well. Being Ranma’s younger brother helped.

            Ash shook his head.

“Now wait a second! I actually have a fair claim!” Misty cried.

            “No you don’t!” Ash yelled.

< Shh. > Lance said. < Fighting at school won’t solve anything. >
            < But Lance-chan! >

< Let me deal with it. >

            < H-hai… >

“You can’t have him.” Lance smiled.

            “Oh? Why not?”

“Because. Before he died, my father signed a contract with his father.” Lance smirked. “So… his life is _mine_.”

            “WHAT? Now wait a minute!”

            Ash looked at Lance wide-eyed.

< You don’t think my father gave your father all the money he squandered away gambling for nothing? >

            < No, but… >

            < But what? > Lance asked. < You don’t like me? >

< N-no! It’s not that! > Ash blushed redly as he looked down. But really, having Lance taking care of him was none so bad.

Misty brought up a desk, intending to smash it over someone’s head in an inane display of violence, but before she could hit, Lance grabbed Ash as his eyes flashed gold and they vanished.

            Teleport.

It was lucky, really, since the water bottle on her desk had dumped its contents over both of them.

So close… but Ash’s secret was still safe for the time being.

They reappeared in a mall, much to Ash’s surprise. They were in an empty dressing room as well.

            Wait a minute…

            < Lance-chan? Why are we here? >

< I needed to show you something important, shall we say. > Lance said, in a sweet tone.

            Ash nodded.

His eyes promptly bulged out when Lance’s eyes glowed again. The changes were subtle, but they were there.

            < You’re a _girl_?! >

< Only when I want to be. It’s a talent, per se. > Lance said, as she focused and was male again.

            Still…

Loath as he was to admit it, Ash had enjoyed the change. Men were, very visual types after all.

Many behavioral studies had already proved that!

But… wasn’t he already in love with Lance? Did this change anything? No, it didn’t… except that Lance did make a pretty girl.

But that was a bishonen-wide quality.
< But Lance, why are you telling me this? >

< You mean showing you? > Lance asked.

< H-hai. >

< In case we ever need to escape. Life around her is hectic as it is. Now, let me think. > Ash’s eyes went wide as Lance proceeded to strip off his clothes. < Lance? What are you doing?! >

< Shh! > Lance warned, as he took a thermos of hot water out of his backpack and splashed Ash with it. < I’m only a little taller than you. Put those on. > He next yanked a girl’s version school uniform out and concentrated, before he was female again and put those on.

< We can’t have you wandering around nude, can we? >

< Why can’t I just stay a cat? >

< Because. > Lance said impishly. < Since we landed in a mall, we might as well take advantage of it, and I need your help. >

< … >

Ash soon found out what ‘help’ meant, as Lance carried an armful of _girl’s_ clothes inside. “A-ano,”

“I’d rather have your opinion than someone else’s.”

“H-hai!” Ash gasped. Still, the blush refused to leave his cheeks. Especially since some of the choices were, well, to put it mildly, very… exotic.

Lance’s second teleport attempt two hours later landed them safely at home in their room.

From the cries in the dojo, Ranma and Misty were sparring, again, and Misty was losing, again.

It was just another day in a crazy life.

            Still…

Ash was sure Lance stayed in female form while they were doing their homework just to tease him. It wasn’t _fair_!
            He was cute either way…

Ash sighed and tried to remove all hentai thoughts from his mind without much success.

Ash: …

Phantomness: I know, I’m a deranged authoress. *grins*

Lance: It wasn’t too bad.

Kairo: *eating a lollipop* some parts are kind of funny!

Emerald: >.<

Shoyko: I guess it could be dark, in a sense… but not uber-angst.
