Phantomness will now attempt to write… a Star Wars based pokemon fic! But of course, there are going to be an insane amount of changes…

Chapter 1: Background/Prologue

Drake, Jedi Knight-in training and father to a newborn child, smiled as he held the new life in his arms.

            “Isn’t he lovely?”

Princess Sabrina smiled as she rocked him. “Let’s name him Ashura.”

            “All right…”

Drake sighed, nonetheless. Romance was forbidden to a Jedi. He had kept his affair with Sabrina well hidden from all, but someone, someone had found out.

She was only a little girl, one of the babies that had been raised in the temple as per orders. Five years old, blonde hair, blue eyes, and an instinctive grasp on the force, as befitted a jedi child.

Yet… there was something about her. He trusted her not to tell. Why? He didn’t know.

Perhaps… there was a bond between her and his child? Possible.

            Quite possible…

Catelyn peeked in, from where she had been standing guard outside. “Still safe.”

“Thank the gods.” Drake said, handing Sabrina back the baby. “I should leave before I’m missed.”

Catelyn nodded. “I should go too.”

“If anyone asks, I was showing you how to manipulate water drops.”

Catelyn nodded, as drops of water flew around her head. “I know. But can I see him too?”

“Certainly.” Sabrina smiled at the young girl, as Catelyn peeked at the baby.

            Blue eyes met chocolate brown.

Ash cooed and lifted a tiny hand to her.

            “Kawaii…”

The touched hands, and for the briefest of moments, a current of black thread ran underneath, tying them together.

Still, neither of the parents noticed, although Drake did feel a very faint vibration in the force.

“So you two are connected… well, feel free to visit Ash and Sabrina.” Drake said. “But we really will be late now.”

“We don’t’ have to fly to the temple.”

            “Hmm?”

Catelyn pulled a blue card out of her pocket. “Mew, teleport please?”

A pink creature – an alien perhaps, appeared.

In a second, both were home.

They absence had gone unnoticed, luckily enough. Drake decided not to pry into the girl’s affairs.

Every week or so, Catelyn and Drake would go visit Ash and Sabrina. However, after hiding the truth for six years, it was discovered.

Drake died fighting the Jedi for his child, in front of Sabrina’s horrified eyes. She committed suicide the same day, having lost both her husband and her baby.

They placed Ash in the care of a small family on a distant planet.

Three years later, when Catelyn finally found him on the planet of Cinnabar, Jedi Master Pryce defeated her and left her to die in a pool of lava.

            She did not die.

Body practically destroyed, she shed her temporary form and became the Dragon Master, throwing to the wind all thoughts except for revenge.

Her cards saved their owner, as they always had. Stayed with her. Listened as she set her plans in position.

Certainly, the Sith had taken her. Giovanni was quite pleased with the acquisition. After having rebuilt her torso with machinery, it was impossible to tell she was a girl anymore.

            So, she changed.

The steel wings grew from her back, she locked herself in her black dragon armor, and with the mask hiding her features, set out to destroy the Jedi as Giovanni took control as Emperor of the Galaxy.

Catelyn was, for all intents and purposes, dead.

Black cloak rippling in the wind, steel wings glinting as her Dragon Blade clashed against a Jedi’s lightsaber.

She didn’t need those energy weapons. She had magic that was more powerful infinitely.

After all, the cards were hers and hers alone. And she drew from their powers and the realm of dreams, and as she killed her dark power rose.

It was perfect. There was really no way for her to lose.

“You took him away from me…” She hissed, as her eyes glowed bluely, Dragonair coming to his master and locking the Jedi’s movements with Dragonbreath. Not that it was needed, but it saved so much time.

She brought up the blade under his chin.

            “Fools.”

            “Darksider! Sithspawn!” The jedi yelled.

“Shouting insults won’t save your life, dear.” She remarked dryly. “You will rue the day you faced Lance Dragyn, the Dark Dragon Master.”

He was headless in a stroke.

Humming, Lance recalled Dragonair and teleported back to the Command Center, where Giovanni was waiting.

“I see you killed another one.”

            “Yes, Master.”
“Their numbers decrease day by day. Soon, the jedi shall be no more…”

            Giovanni laughed.

Lance’s eyes were hooded, but she nodded.

Even Giovanni didn’t know her real gender. It didn’t matter though, they were less likely to underestimate her if they thought she was a boy.

She didn’t even need the man. With her cards, the galaxy could be hers. But she didn’t want that.

            She only wanted him back.

Was that too much to ask for? They were soul mates for crying out loud! Once she finished getting rid of the Jedi menace, she would find him again. This time, she would keep him.

            For sure…

And she’d make sure he wanted her too.
