Got jumped by this plotbunny in Spanish AP class, actually. I had just finished writing a long timed essay in Spanish. Oh well, you take what you get!

Title: Call to Twilight

Chapter 1: Capture

            “Sabrina, we’ve located him.”

Sabrina got up, Moltres following her. Their current headquarters, Silph Co., was spacious, but…quite boring.

            < All right. >

The rocket left quickly, as Sabrina and her Kadabra vanished.

Sabrina followed the directions to Seafoam islands, where she saw Ash and his six pokemon snoozing on the beach.

“Perfect.” She told kadabra, as they teleported the entire group to Saffron. Underground floor, home to the testing lab, it was stark and white.

Giovanni’s scientists, Blaine included among them, were waiting.

“So, we should use a memory rewrite.”

< Giovanni’s orders. > Sabrina said. < You just erase, I’ll do the transfer of new memories directly. >

Blaine nodded, and he and his team began working. It took a full two and a half months to complete the process, but by the time it was over, Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town was gone, replaced by Red Ashura of Team Rocket.

Black hair streaked with marine blue, brown eyes changed to purple. First, heighten his emphatic sense. Then unleash his hidden psychic potential… Sabrina was his older sister; the rest of thier family had died when the government used the town as a nuclear test site.

            “Aneki?”

“Hmm?” Sabrina asked, as she put down the spoons she had been levitating. < What is it? >

< Are we going to play today? >

< Maybe. If I have time after my mission, I’ll play with you. >

            < Okay! >

Ash ran off happily, as Sabrina watched.

How they had managed to keep his childlike wonder intact was a mystery, but it served him well.

It enabled him to see what others normally could not.

Right now, Ash had his team of pokemon, not limited to a specific type yet.

Gyarados. Pikachu. Eevee. Snorlax. Venusaur. Aerodactyl. Espeon. Umbreon.

True, it wasn’t a multitude, but… he could cover most element types that way, especially since Eevee had the three-in-one combination.

Right now, they were jumping around in an area full of magnemite and working on speed as well as defense.

Good training, Surge had said, at her horrified look.

It was true to some extent.

Without another thought, Sabrina and Kadabra warped off.

The mission was quite simple, robbing weak trainers wasn’t much fun but she did have an Electabuzz surge would like.

Sabrina dropped the other thirty-odd poke balls in the storage room and went to find Ash.

She found him levitating Gyrados for practice.

            < Aneki! >

< Yes, I’m home. > Sabrina smiled, as Ash ran over to give her a hug.

Strange, a cheerful little ‘brother’ could cause the cold psychic to melt.

            Maybe it was his charm?

No, that wasn’t it. He really was quite empathic, and he wanted her to be happy as his only family left. At least, that was his way of looking at it.

She was growing used to having him around, it wasn’t bad… kind of nice actually.

< We should get something to eat, Ash. >

< Okay. > Ash sent back, as he put Gyarados down and recalled his pokemon. Together, they walked to the dining room.

Surge and Koga were already helping themselves to the food.

This room was only for the three gym leaders, Giovanni, and Ash. They were Giovanni’s highest lieutenants after all.

Ash helped himself to the food, and they all sat there quietly, not making much conversation. So what if they weren’t talkative? Power didn’t require much chatter.

But as always, the food was quite good, so that’s what his thoughts focused on.

            “Red!”

Ash jumped up and bowed as Giovanni came in. The other three also got up and did the same.

“I’m giving you a different mission.” Giovanni said. “This will be easy.”

            “Oh?’

“Yes… all you have to do is compete in the Indigo League Finals this year.”

            “Really?”

            “Yes.”

“YATTA!” Ash cheered, jumping up and down while the other three looked amused.

“Well, he likes it.” Koga remarked.

“Win it for Team Rocket.” Giovanni finished, leaving.

Ash spent the next three months training like crazy. He had to win, of course. He was not going to fail.

            Never, never, never
