Chapter 5

“Paul seems to have figured things out.”

Red frowned as he heard Lance say that. “Then you’re in danger, right?”

            “I’m afraid so.”

Claret eyes met gold as he snuggled into his lover’s arms. “Lance…”

“Tomorrow, I may die.” The man sighed. “May I have tonight?”

“Of course, love. I have always been yours…”

They kissed passionately. Red moaned quietly as Lance’s tongue slid into his mouth, tasting him. Their kisses and caresses were harsh, born of passionate desperation. Their clothing went flying every which way, until they lay intertwined beneath the blankets, exploring each other’s bodies with fervor.

Hot, punishing strokes filled him, as he writhed under his partner’s body. Calloused fingertips dug into slim hips, harder, faster, more

Breaths warm against the crook of his neck, a sharp nail grazing over his chest, teasing a nipple, pleasure-pain, the contact-high of sensation… then stars exploded behind his eyes and he cried out, keening.

            Oh…

When at last, they slept, buried in the warmth of a forbidden love, the stars were silent.

In another area of the base, the midnight oil was burning.

“I don’t trust Lance.” Paul frowned. “It’s more of a gut instinct than anything else, but I don’t trust him.”

“You think he’s the one that Duplica was referring to then?” Flannery asked.

“Think about it? Who else has red hair?”

“But how would Lance be controlling the pokemon?” Pryce frowned. “It’s not the power of the badges…”

            What a quandary!

Bruno frowned. “Lance has a type of pokemon empathy, but a lot of trainers did, and it’s not like his pokemon stayed with him. Only Ash’s Pikachu ever did.”

“How do you know? Were you there when his pokemon turned?” Dario questioned, eyes blazing.

That threw the Elite trainer for a loop. “Well, no.”

“How do you know for certain that they did?”

“It’s not like we’ve seen Dragon pokemon since then, and they aren’t easy to hide, unlike smaller pokemon.” Bruno stated staunchly.

Pryce coughed. “In either case, I’m afraid that unless we can prove Lance guilty or not, nothing will be resolved.”

“Even if we can’t,” Paul said. “We may have to eliminate him. He is expendable.”

Surge looked uncomfortable. This was the worst kind of betrayal, but if Lance really was a traitor…

They couldn’t let the pokemon take over the world!

            They had to keep fighting!

Erika stayed silent throughout the discussion.

When the votes were finally tallied, it was clear what was going to happen. It was a chance they had to take.

            Lance would die.

Hopefully, then, the pokemon would be redeemable. If not, they would have to resort to the nukes.

They’re shooting in the dark, but it’s the best bet they have. They may be right, or they may be wrong, but either way, there shall be angst! ^^

Ash: O.O

Shoyko: And the angst muse gets overworked again

This is a short chapter, but I just wanted the lime to have its own chapter, and I admittedly, didn’t want this pulled off fanfiction.net for indecent exposure.
