This fic was written for my little sister, so its more childish and random than most. Oh well. It’s still got het championshipping.

For my littlest sister

My sister’s Big Day – fanfic interaction stage set.

Ash woke up early one morning, in fact it was the very morning he was to leave for his pokemon journey, and by some miracle of authoress’s wit, suddenly knew that if he ran to Oak’s lab immediately, then he would get an Eevee!
Five alarms had been hooked up in his room, set to go off at five-minute intervals. When the last one rang he was out the door in socks as he ran up the hill to Oak’s lab.

An Eevee in hand, he returned home and promptly set off with his new ten-speed blue and electric yellow bike.

He was biking along, Eevee had already defeated a horde of Rattata when suddenly; there was a loud screech of brakes. The next thing he knew, his head hit the ground and he lost consciousness.

The very next thing he knew was that he was soaking wet and he gasped, which was a bad idea since upon impact he had been flung into the stream. Blinded and trying to claw for air at the surface, it was very lucky that at that very moment a hook caught in his shirt and he was jerked into the open air and onto the riverbank as well.

“My, you’re a lucky one.” The red-haired girl said as she fished him out. “I nearly broke my fishing rod. Thought it was a Gyarados for sure.”

            “Thank you!” Ash gasped.

            “No problem. I’m Catelyn.”
“Ash Ketchum.” Ash said, but then he noticed her Rod was jerking again. “Um…”

“Yippee!” Catelyn cheered. “All right, Ptera, use Wing Attack!”

The captured Gyarados fell to the attack and was easily captured. Yay for Aerodactyl! And… Gyarados was caught.

            “You’re pretty lucky, Ash.”

            “Me? Why?”

“I’ve never fished up a Gyarados before.”

            Ash blushed slightly. “Thank you.”

“No, now how did you end up in the river?”

            “Um…”

Catelyn looked interested as Ash just stammered.

“There you are!” An annoying  voice yelled.

Ash turned and saw a girl with ugly, skimpy clothes and orange hair holding a poke ball.

            “Who are you?”

            “You broke my bike!”

“So you’re the one who knocked me into the river!” Ash scowled.

“I’m Misty Waterflower!” The girl said angrily. “I never apologize! It’s your fault for being on the wrong side of the road!”

            “…”

            Eevee hissed at Misty.

She did _not_ like the ugly girl any more than Ash did, oh no.

            Misty immediately grabbed the Eevee.

Eevee liked this even less and sank her teeth into Misty’s scrawny arm.

            “AHHHHH!” She yowled.

Catelyn tried hard not to laugh as she watched.

Misty finally ran off angrily, not wanting to get bitten any more. Too bad she had tried to steal that Eevee she wanted…

            Ash cheered.

“So, can I travel with you?”

            “Sure, Catelyn.” Ash smiled.

Catelyn smiled and hugged him. “Arigato! You’re my lucky charm.”

“Do you have all the badges already? You have Aerodactyl.”

“No.” Catelyn grinned. “Just Johto, I still need the Kanto badges.”

            “So do I!”

“That’s why I’m asking if I can travel with you.”

            “K!”

This was great! A pretty, smart girl was asking to travel with him, and she must be a good trainer too.

            She was cute.

Ash blushed slightly as he looked at her. Much cuter than – Misty, was that her name? Eww.

            Yes, she was really cute.

            Kawaii!

They headed to Pewter gym, and within moments Brock had lost. Iron Tail worked wonders.

Then, onto Cerulean in a day’s work.

Ash was unpleasantly surprised to find Misty there.

            “Why are you here?”

“I’m the gym leader, you little twerp.” Misty scowled. “Go, Starmie!”

Ash did not respond as Eevee used Bite.

Dark is good against psychic after all…

Staryu fared no better, how could it?

In any case, a quick check from Dragon Master unknown to all others resulted in Ash taking possession of Misty’s pokemon.

Catelyn stepped into the shadows before the transformation took place and Lance stepped out quickly.

            “Misty Waterflower.”

            “L-Lance!”

            Misty looked shocked. “Wh-what?”

            Why was he here?

How could he have known? And…

            “Where is she?”

Ash blinked. “Catelyn? She went to the restroom.”

“What? My gym has no restrooms!”

“…” Lance coughed. “In any case, my sister just informed me that you were abusing your pokemon.”

            “Am not!”

Actions belied words as she kicked her Staryu inconspicuously, or at least that’s what she thought.

Lance stripped her of her gym license, gave her pokemon to Ash, and then promptly left.

A minute later Catelyn walked in.

“Why does your gym have no restrooms?”

Misty spluttered, confused, while Catelyn took Ash’s arm and led him out.

She decided to get to the bottom of it.

“Ash, did you know Eevees could evolve into dragons too? I love dragons.”

            “Really?”

“Yes, with a Dragon Scale.” Catelyn handed Ash one, polished. “Here, I have some extra.”

            “Thank you!”

After application of Dragon Scale, with a rushing sound and flash of white light, Eevee evolved into Ryuueon!

Ash was immensely pleased and happy.

Vaporeon-like ears, body covered with dark blue scales, and little dragon wings sprouted out of her back.

            Lovely!

Thus, Surge was very easy to beat, for Ryuueon could learn a variety of TMs Eevee could not.

By the time Misty caught up with them, she still arrived in Celadon too late.

            Yes, that was true.

They had arrived, after Catelyn had coached Ash on what to do.

At the door, when the junior trainers inquired, Ash began listing the types of perfumes he preferred, rosewater, lilac, chrysanthemum… they quickly ushered him inside before he had really begun.

            He could take it.

He asked Erika for a battle, she replied kindly that she was in the middle of a story and to wait fifteen minutes.

While he waited, he admired the grass pokemon she had raised.

            They were in excellent condition.

The battle was quite short, Flamethrower TM helped Ryuueon win past her two grass-type pokemon.

He took the badge and left.

Misty arrived scant eight minutes later. Erika kindly informed her that they had gone to Celadon.

But of course flying on a Dragonite was much faster than walking…

In Saffron she missed them by an entire day, fatigue catching up with her. She was then informed that they were in Fuschia.

Koga told her they were out mountain climbing with Janine.

Ash and Catelyn took tea with his daughter, it was rather nice green tea, and then they returned.

            Misty was waiting.

            “You!”

Ryuueon hissed, her hatred for Misty not diminished by her new form. Misty fawned over her _again_.

            Tried to pick her up.

            Failed miserably.

Janine hit Misty over the head with a tea ladle purely by accident, she dropped it. Koga did not scold.

He was too busy trying to concentrate on his pile of paperwork.

Ash bade them goodbye as the two flew away on Dragonite again.

            “You’re almost done.”

            “Hai!”

“So, I guess it’s off to the Elite Four once you get the last two badges.” Catelyn said with a peculiar little smile.

            Ash nodded.

He was taken aback when she kissed him. “C-Catelyn?”

“Shh… I like you, don’t deny you’ve been attracted to me.”

“H-hai, you’re nice, and you’re a pretty trainer and strong too, but!”

            “But what?”

            “I-I!”

“Don’t worry about a thing.” Catelyn smirked. “After all… I’ll make sure you beat the Elite Four.”

            “No! That’s cheating!”

He didn’t know how she could, but…

            “Excellent, just testing…”

            “?”

            Catelyn smiled as she focused.

Ash’s eyes widened to impossible size as he watched her form shift.

            “You’re _Lance_? But I thought!”

“Yes, playing my own sister was fun.” Lance chuckled. “It helps that the only that really changes is height, besides the obvious gender differences.”

“So that’s how you got there in time to sack Misty! Or how I never see Catelyn and you at the same time!”

            “Hai.”

“But why are you telling me?”

“You’re worthy and she is not.” Lance said. “You _will_ win, by the path you have Chosen.”

            “?”

            “Yes, that’s true.”

            “I’m confused.”

“I’ll help you through it, don’t worry.”

Ash shrugged, but he knew Lance wasn’t lying, so he listened.

            And stayed!
And he drowned, drowned in golden light and was free…

Misty found them again at Indigo Plateau.

She still wanted amends for her bicycle even though she was the one who had crashed into Ash.

It was strange how her mind works.

            Lorelei barred the way.

“Ash is taking the challenge right now, you can’t bother him.”

“Let me talk to Lance then.”

            “Why?”
“His sister ratted on me and he revoked my license!”

“His sister?” Lorelei looked amused. “Lance doesn’t have any sisters.”

“What? Then is Catelyn his cousin?”

At this, Lorelei was hard pressed to contain her mirth. “Oh, you… Lance _is_ Catelyn.”

That was when Lance walked out, followed by a beaming Ash.

            “I won!”
“That you did, and I’m very proud of you…”

“Lance! You’re Catelyn? But how is that possible?”

            “I _was_ born female.”

            “B-but!”

“Of course, there are certain things one can do.” Lance continued placidly. “Like Jusenkyo, for example. Very useful.”

            Ash blinked.

“It’s nothing to worry about, koi.”

Misty’s eyes bugged out when Lance smirked and then kissed Ash right in front of her, albeit as a girl.

            It was very amusing.

He then proceeded to splash himself, turn male again, and kiss Ash again.

            Misty fainted dead away!

Well, I don’t like Misty and neither does my sister. Anyways, the two lovers lived happily ever after and Misty did not.

Lance: …

Ash: I see…

Phantomness: Humor little sisters, or they might annoy you.

Lance: Oh?
Kairo: *peels a lollipop* Interesting

Phantomness: Yes, and then you can’t write anymore without them peeking over your shoulders.
