Chapter 6: Genki no Shower

Indigo Plateau had finally been rebuilt. Just the same, Ash was saddened to leave Blackthorn. It was a tranquil city, strangely enough.

            Very odd…

But it was nice to have places where people did not chase him demanding battles, autographs, or that he step down from his position because he was a kid.

            It was very nice indeed.

Lance finished loading their two suitcases onto his Dragonair, and then they climbed on afterwards, Ash smiling as he put his arms around Lance’s waist and they flew off.

            Nice…

He could hug Lance and no one would object.

Why was he attracted to the trainer? Was it morbid fascination? No, maybe the respect had evolved into love over time, and it wasn’t as if Lance was ugly or anything.

That was probably it. Plus, Lance had ‘Saved his life’ with the Mewtwo incident. A combination factor, and then putting two people in close proximity often helped them become comfortable around each other.

If friendship could arise, so could love, right?

            Right.

In any case, Lance was warm.

Ash snuggled closer, burying his Face in Lance’s shoulder blades. He wanted the moment to last, but if it couldn’t, he’d enjoy it as much as possible first.

Lance turned around, locking eyes with the trainer. “Ash…”

            “Hmm?”

Hit by the full force of the killing puppy eyes attack, Lance shook his head and turned back around as Dragonair flew on.

            Ash hid a smile.

Looking cute and kawaii did have its high points!

He was too ‘innocent’ to be any danger, that’s what everyone thought.

            Why not take advantage?

            I know what I want…

Agatha was waiting when they disembarked, since she had been the first to arrive. Of course, she had teleported.

            “Looks like you both survived.”
“I still find it annoying and too risky for us to be here if they haven’t caught the terrorists.”

“I as well, but we are wasting time. We shall settle in and then see what happens.”

Gary waved; he was already setting up his room.

Ash waved back and got ready to unpack.

Soon, they were resettled in their rooms.

Ash watched as Lance practiced the Dragon Dance.

It was so graceful and elegant… he would learn, but Lance said only dragon masters could.

            Too bad…

There were hundreds of variations on a theme, but Lance knew them all. At least that’s what Gyarados had told him.

Lapras was outside soaking in the pond and relaxing, she needed it after all. They had done a lot of training against rock-types in Blackthorn.

Raichu was eating a candy cane.

Many other pokemon ran through the renovated gardens, enjoying life.

            Lance was so… shimmery.

            So pretty…

            Powerful… grace… agility…

I want to be just like him.

Lance finished about an hour later, after having put all his blades away. “You were watching me again?”

He sounded amused, Ash noted. “H-hai!”

            “Did you enjoy it?”

“Eh…” Confused by that question, Ash just nodded.

            “I’m glad you’re happy.”

That was the only warning Ash received before Lance crushed his lips against his violently.

The fifteen-year-old moaned into the kiss, totally surprised but not exactly unwilling.

“Kawaii little one… you want me, don’t you?” Lance asked, eyes glittering with lust and something else.

            Ash could only nod, surprised.

“I’ve wanted you for a long time now…” Lance purred, arms sliding around Ash’s waist. “It’s so useful that your desires coincide with mine, kawaii koi... I’ll take care of you forever, you know? You just have to let me.”

The hypnotic gaze locked with his.

Lance ran his fingers through Ash’s hair oh-so-softly, as he waited.

Pools of honey gold stared into amber.

The thought of saying no never even crossed Ash’s mind as he surrendered. It was so warm…

            Soft…

            They clicked like puzzle pieces.

            Sugar…

The night eyes watched over both.

Ash woke up the next morning and snuggled into Lance’s chest drowsily, not quite awake.

“Kawaii one.” Lance said, kissing the top of Ash’s head.

            “Do I have a match?”

“No, don’t worry. I cleared your schedule for you.”

            “Arigato…”

Lance petted him as Ash fell asleep again.

Kawaii little one… you’ll stay with me forever… I’ll never be alone again. Never.

You don’t know what it’s like, do you… no… you have a real family.

Claire was nice, but she can’t see like I can.

            I’ve always been alone.

            I’m Chosen, after all.

Chosen have duty, and rarely find love.

But now you’re here with me… I’m sorry, you’ll have to face the darkness too, and the night will consume you like it has me.

            Don’t worry though; I know you’ll live. You’re mine.

            Forever, little one…

We’ll be together forever… we’ll walk the dark together.

            Mine…
