Part 3

"So you're saying that the high-level pikachu is nowhere to 

be found?" asked Giovanni. "Yes sir, and we can't find the brat 

either." said Jesse. "Very well, I suppose I shall have to give you a 

new assignment. You did see how that boy Ash calmed the three 

legendary birds, didn't you? Try and persuade him to join Team

Rocket. 

We could use him on our side." "But boss," meowth said, "he had those 

three glass balls. They must be gone by now." "Shut up and get

started 

with your new assignment. If the pikachu is with the boy you can 

capture it too and I'll promote you."

       Meanwhile..... Misty was staying with Mrs. Ketchum until Ash's 

funeral. It was the next day. Brock and Tracey were also staying at 

Ash's house. Tracey's venonat had been behaving very strangely for a 

while. Every night, it would run into Ash's room, grab his stuffed 

pidgey, and wave it up and down while screeching "Venonat,venonat."

It 

drove everybody nuts. Finally Tracey couldn't stand it anymore and 

took venonat to Prof. Oak's lab to see if they could find out what

the 

problem was.

              "Interesting" said Professor Oak. "It appears that the 

venonat is trying to say that the world is in danger. "What?" asked 

Tracey. "Yes, venonat is part psychic, so it has slight psychic 

abilities that enable it to tell the future. The only problem is I 

can't tell what a pidgey has to do with it." "The pidgey belongs to 

Ash." said Tracey. "But Ash is already dead. He jumped off a cliff."

         "I advise you to see Sabrina." said Oak. "Maybe she knows. 

Besides, she has haunter and its a ghost Pokemon so maybe it

can 

help." 

        The next day, at Ash's funeral, there was a veritable crowd

of 

gym leaders, officer jennys and nurse joys(which drove brock crazy). 

Gary came and spat on Ash's grave, which provoked Misty so much that 

she unleashed her starmie on him and sent him to the hospital with a 

broken jaw. Tracey dragged Sabrina to one side and explained the 

situation with venonat to her in detail.

      "I'd love to help." said Sabrina, but Haunter dissapeared the 

day Ash died. Maybe it wants to find his spirit or something like that."

"What?!?!?!?!" asked Tracey. "But that was our only hope!" "Yes, but

Kadabra has

also 

been acting peculiar."said Sabrina. "From what I can tell, he claims that the

legendary birds are in great danger. But with their elemental 

abilities, no one should be able to capture them, and Lawrence 3's 

body was found in the Orange Island Archipelago yesterday. He was the 

only one who came close to capturing them. I'm guessing that

Articuno, 

Zapdos, and Moltres wanted revenge."

         Misty was thunderstruck when Tracey relayed this news to

her. 

She was so distraught that she ran down the path into the Viridian 

forest screaming and bumped into team rocket. "So the twerp is really 

dead?" asked James. Misty nodded and continued to sob uncontrollably. 

"Ash's haunter was the only one who could have helped us and its gone 

now." "Since you have no future, why don't you join Team Rocket?" 

asked meowth suggesting. Misty considered this and decided that she wasn't

willing to sink that low. She shook her head. "Fine! But if you ever change

your mind, We'll be willing to accept you." Jesse and James said before they

dissapeared into the shadows.
