The End of Misty Part 7



 I know I left a cliffhanger last time. Oh well. Misty and Brock are swimming

towards Ice Island as we begin our tale…



    Ash watched Misty and Brock struggle towards the shore impassively. On

the beach, sandshrew, eevee, and haunter were waiting in anticipation. Brock

could not swim very well and looked like he was going to drown. Just then

Squirtle, Lapras, and Poliwrath attacked a second time. 

    Misty screamed as she was hit by a surf attack. The Squirtle looked

pleased with itself and smirked, if Squirtle's can actually smirk. Brock's

Vulpix was fighting the Lapras but Lapras was winning. "We have to get out of

the water!" cried Brock. "Golbat, go!" Brock and Misty clung onto Golbat as

they flew into the air. The three water pokémon in the sea were instantly

recalled. Since Charizard, Pidgeot, and Fearow were still guarding the air,

brock's Golbat was immediately hit by two wing attacks and a flamethrower.

With its wings on fire, Golbat fell towards shore at an alarming speed. They

hit the sand at what seemed like 150 Mph and ended up swallowing a lot of

sand.

    Misty rubbed her eyes and looked up. Then she screamed. Sitting on her

chest was an extremely cute eevee that was wagging its tail. Brock was busy

fighting a sandshrew and a haunter with his geodude and onix. Onix had the

sandshrew in a tight bind attack and geodude had been paralyzed by haunter's

lick attack. Suddenly, the eevee's eyes glowed and Misty was paralyzed by a

glare attack. She toppled back onto the sand and stayed motionless.

    

    Ash's point of view



    Ash surveyed that battle with interest. Sandshrew was caught in Onix's

bind attack and its health was falling rapidly. Haunter was busy finishing

geodude with dream eater. Misty was out of the battle, since she was

paralyzed. Brock was busy putting burn heals on his Golbat. Ash narrowed his

eyes, recalling how hard it was to recall a pokémon caught in Onix's attack.

Then he smiled. "Sandshrew, Ice punch!" Sandshrew complied by shooting ice

crystals at Onix. In an instant, Onix was frozen solid. Sandshrew used a

scratch attack to free itself and then ran up towards the cave.

    Ash smiled as he watched sandshrew scamper up the mountainside towards

the cave. He waited until sandshrew was within range and pulled him back into

the poké ball. Brock was looking around warily, as if expecting another

pokémon to attack. Ash smiled. Charizard and Pidgeot were still circling in

the air above Ice Island, but fearow had been wounded when the helicopter

exploded, so it was in the regeneration machine. Ash smiled as his eyes

glowed golden briefly.

    Charizard and Pidgeot suddenly stiffened in the air for a moment, before

launching a combined fire spin and whirlwind. Brock got caught in the storm

of flames, so he collapsed due to heat overdose. Ash pulled his amulet out

and transformed. Then he prepared to finish Brock and Misty off. Suddenly, he

dropped to his knees and dropped his sword. Charizard and Pidgeot, sensing

that their master was in danger, hurriedly flew back towards the entrance of

the cave.

    Ash cried out in pain as he felt someone probing his thoughts. Damn that

Sabrina! He thought. What is she doing!? Ash's eyes suddenly flashed gold and

instantly he felt better. Sabrina, on the other hand, fell onto her "throne"

clutching her head with both hands. Ash grinned evilly. Thank goodness he had

learned how to "mind blast" interfering people/pokémon. 

    Ash flew down towards the beach in a flurry of feathers, with pikachu

riding on his head. He stared impassively at Brock and Misty's prone figures,

then powered up for a Thunder attack. Pikachu also readied its attack, in

case its master got into trouble. Ash proceeded to blast Brock with 10,000

volts of electricity, while pikachu took care of misty. It ended up with

Misty surviving badly burnt, and Brock barely surviving at all. Then, Ash

sent Misty to Cerulean City and Brock back to Pewter.
