Lance: Hard at work I see.

Phantomness: *nods* what I do for you too…

Ash: Actually, you’re just in a good mood because you got the entire set of Pet shop of Horrors manga in Chinese.

Phantomness: ^_^ that too!

Timeline: Completely AU, Alternate Universe crossed with the Anime pokemon series during Orange League.

Fic Timeline: After ‘It all started with Kleenex’, CCA. I think it’s the sequel to ‘It all started with Kleenex’

IMPORTANT: This is two pokemon universes crossing over, so the anime versions will be referred to as ‘Ash’ and ‘Pink’, while the Phantomness-verse versions will be known as ‘Red/Ashura/Satoshi’ and ‘Lance’

Chapter 1

Sixteen-year old Ashura ‘Red’ Satoshi sat in front of his laptop, busy typing up his Spanish book report that was due the next morning in approximately six hours.

“Ne, procrastinating again?” A cheerful voice teased. “How you manage to keep a B average is beyond me.”

“Don’t bother me right now, Lance.”

The aforementioned teen chuckled. “Yes, yes, I know… and don’t worry. Look.” He held up an hourglass.

            The sand inside lay unmoving.

            “Lance!”

“Yes, yes, thank me later. But remember, every time I do this for you,” Lance did not continue onwards as Red blushed.

            Pikachu grinned. Hehehe….

            “Pikachu!”

Pika-chan was perched on the window. Well, I can see why…

            “What were we doing again?”

“We are waiting” Lance reminded him, “For the timelines to stabilize. Apparently Serebii wants a favor.”

            “Oh?”

“Yes. She’s found a world for us to ‘purify.’”

“But are there visions of us there?”

“You know guardians can’t overlap, because we can cross dimensions. But, there is one quite annoying little kid named ‘Ash Ketchum’ there.”

            “Oh?”

“He seems a little bit like you.”

            Red frowned. “I see.”

“And apparently for me, there’s a pink-haired person with only a Dragonite. How disappointing…”

            “So why are we waiting?”

“Because crossing through the dream realm isn’t guaranteed to work.”

“I see.” Ash said, as he groomed Pika-chan.

            “I’m hungry.”

“Pika-chan, I just fed you a chocolate cake.”

            “So?”

Lance chuckled. “The timelines should merge soon. Until then, we just wait.”

“Hai.” Ash said obediently. “So no magic?”

“No. No magic for twenty-four hours before we go there. That way, nothing changes.”

            “All right.”

            The pokemon waited.

Pink poured himself a glass of milk and wondered at the sudden chill. It was probably nothing…

“Yay! I got the Spike Shell Badge!” Ash cheered. “I can’t wait to win at the Orange League Championships!”

Misty whacked him. “Oh, and how do you know you won’t lose?”

Ash sniffled. “Don’t be so mean.”

Tracey began sketching a seagull, flying overhead.

That was when two people fell out of the sky.

            “Lance! We’re falling too fast!”

“Hakuryuu!” Lance said, releasing dragonair. “Just hang onto me, Satoshi.”

            “Hai!” Red nodded.

They swooped down and landed next to an open-mouthed trio on a Lapras.

            Misty stared. “Woah…”

“That was cool!” Ash shouted. “Can you teach me how?”

            Lance sweatdropped.

Red frowned. * So that’s ‘me’. How disappointing…. I mean, when I was at this stage in my own world, instead of collecting badges aimlessly I was training with Lance-chan… and I saved the world. I wonder if he’s done anything like that? No, he’s not a guardian…  *

“You look awfully like Ash.” Misty said in confusion. “Except for your hair, it’s longer and it has gold streaks…”

She didn’t mention that he was older and hotter and woah, look at the body!

Lance caught that thought and snickered to him softly. * Mine! *

“Come on, Lance-chan, we should get going.” Red reminded him.

“Hold on, if we’re in Orange, we ought to be close to Lugia’s home…”

            “Huh?”

“Let me run a little test.”

Red frowned. “All right, but don’t take too long. We have to start the process immediately.”

            “My, you’re impatient little one.”

“I’m _not_! I just want to go home as soon as possible.” < The air here is stifling me, can’t you feel it? >

            < Yes. >

< Then what are you waiting for? >

Lance shrugged, and the bracelets on his wrists – silver dragons – began to glow. < Summon Lugia, the great guardian of the seas… >

A minute later, a very befuddled white dragon-bird thing appeared. < Who dares to call me? >

An Aeroblast shot at Lance, only to reflect off – nothing?

< Peace. > Lance said in disgust. < Nothing like ours. >

< Can we summon now? >

            < Hai. >

While Tracey busy sketched an angry Lugia, Lance’s eyes glowed along with his Dark Mirror, and soon, the counterparts arrived.

They were all streaked with black, or pure black. Darkness in this world, to purge it, they had come.

            < Let’s begin. > Lance said.

Well, Spirit Hellfire, I took your advice but I don’t think it’s going to be a nice fic in any way… ^-^;
