Lance was busy packing the few things he needed. He couldn't believe that they (his parents), wanted him to marry his sister, Clair! Sure, he liked her, but not that way!

He finished with his clothing and supplies, and then collected all of his dragon pokemon. He had to be careful not to use them in plain view – it was widely known that only Royalty had pokemon.

He flew to Kanto using the night as a cover. He had left a note to Clair, reassuring her that it wasn’t her fault. Still, he wasn’t about to go back yet.

Stupid mother.

Lance landed in the Viridian Forest in the early morning. He sighed in relief. He was safe! For now at least...

The Prince went behind a bush and spent several minutes finalizing his disguise. He was fairly confident that his parents wouldn't expect this...

Finally, Lance smoothed down his hair, checked his makeup, and climbed out of the bush.

He heard laughter coming in his direction. “Wow, your pokemon are really powerful, Red! And you have a Dragon egg now too... What are you going to do now?”

Red blushed as Blue teased her. “I don't know much about dragons.”

“Then you should go to Bill or Oak.” Blue giggled.

She nodded.

"I'm sure you'll figure something out, Red. You're not Kanto League Champion for nothing after all..." Blue told her.

“We’ll see.” The Pallet trainer admitted.

She waved goodbye to her friend and continued along the path. Soon, she saw another girl.

Red blinked.

Lance looked up, startled. Would his disguise hold once he met a real girl?

"Hi."

"Hello." Lance said quietly. He noticed the pokeballs she was carrying.

"I'm Red. What's you're name?"

"Catelyn." Lance lied. He smiled at her.

"Nice to meet you Catelyn." Red held her hand out to shake Lance's hand. Lance shook hands with her. She was cute.

“So, do you train pokemon too, Catelyn?”

Lance didn't know how to answer that. He didn't know just how different Kanto was from Johto yet… "Um... Can I see yours Red?" He hedged, buying time.

Red smiled. "Sure!" She released her Charizard, Jigglypuff, Raichu, Lapras, and Kadabra. She pulled out a familiar egg from her backpack.

"And this is a Dragon egg I found... I'm not sure what to do..."

Lance hesitated. "I know a little bit about dragon pokemon."

“You do? Cool! You can help me when he egg hatches.”

Lance blinked. It was nice to be treated as an equal. Red was oddly affectionate. And best of all, she wasn’t acting stilted and weird because he was royalty.

"I'd be glad to."

He held out two Ultra Balls. "These are my pokemon." The rest were hidden.

Red grinned at the sight of his Larvitar and Dragonair.

"Kawaii!" Her whole face lit up. She hugged them both. She could tell that they were both very powerful too.

She and Catelyn made small talk as they walked along. Red learned that she was from Johto and liked dragons.

"I heard that Johto is very different to Kanto... I think only the really rich people have Pokemon over there..." Red said, looking at her companion.

“It’s something like that, yes.” Lance conceded.

"It's true then? I've always wanted to visit..."

"Well, yes." He shrugged. "I stole mine." It wasn't really a lie.

"Oh!"

* With all this power, she could be a Princess... * Lance thought. * If she lived in my region. *

Red colored at Lance’s admission.

"Does that disturb you?" He asked.

"No, Not really..." Red looked down. "I know someone like that. He stole my badges once, but he gave them back later. And my Father..." Should she tell Cat – her nickname for Catelyn – about her father, Giovanni? That would have to wait until she knew this stranger better. It was a big secret.

Lance simply said nothing else. He knew enough about uncomfortable topics to pry into her life.

That night, they set up their tents after a quick meal of meatloaf and string beans. Red was surprised. Catelyn was a good cook...

"This is really good!" She said. After a few minutes, she blinked, hearing her egg moving.

Lance checked on it. “It's close to hatching. Maybe a few days…”

Red hugged the egg. She couldn't wait! She'd read bits and pieces about the Johto Prince and his Dragons. He was so cool! She'd always wanted at least one Dragon, just to be a little bit like him...

Lance got up abruptly. "Good night, Red." He said quietly.

"Good night, Cat." Red was going to stay up for a little while still. She needed to think up a name for her new baby. * What to call it? Hmm… *

Lance changed into his pajamas, and went straight to bed, not wanting to think about anything. He was quite surprised that Red was calling him Cat already. She was so friendly. It was odd.

He wouldn’t deny she was pleasant, though.

"Crystal, maybe...?" Red murmured. She petted the egg. She couldn't wait for it to hatch!

She fell asleep soon after, curled around the egg.

Three days passed. Red had discovered that Catelyn was oddly shy.

Why was that?

Red frowned. She liked Catelyn – had liked her since she had seen her. That was odd. Normally, she didn't make friendships that quickly.

"It's... It's so... Confusing...!" She looked up at her Charizard, her confidante. Then she glanced at Lance. "I like – I've liked Catelyn, a human! Since I've met her! It makes no sense! I-I normally don't like humans right off the bat.” She sighed. “What do you think, Char-chan?"

Charizard shrugged. Well, she seems nice enough.

"It's unnerving!" Red sighed. Her eyes hadn't left Lance. "I don't know why I'm acting like this. I mean sure, she's nice enough but-!"

"But..." Red sighed and looked away. "I'm acting like, like... I don't know..."

She sighed, hugging her egg.

Lance walked over. He could feel the vibrations. “It's about to hatch.” He said quietly. Indeed, the eggshell was cracking.

Red smiled and looked down

The last bit of shell broke off. The baby Dratini cheeped happily.

Red hugged the baby. It was so cute! She was so happy!

Mommy? The Dratini licked her face.

Lance smiled and gently checked the Dratini over, before bringing it a small bowl of bluish milk.

It was a girl...

The Dratini lapped at the milk. Red had to hold onto the bowl tightly so the baby didn’t spill it. "Where did you get this, Lance?"

"Secret." The Dragon Master smiled.

Red grinned. "You, baby, are Crys..." Red told the Dratini.

Crys just cooed.

Red hugged the baby "I'll take very good care of you... I promise..."

Crys smiled. Mmm… Moments later, she was asleep.

Red grinned. She looked up at Lance when she heard a quiet laugh. "Huh?"

"Pretty." Lance said. "You look just like a Princess."

Red blushed. Why was she blushing? Lance was a girl! She shouldn’t feel this way! Besides, she was quite certain she was not a lesbian!

Lance tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. “Sleep well tonight, Princess.” He walked back towards his tent.

Red watched 'her' close her tent flap. Then, she let her Charizard out.

"Why do I feel this way?" She whispered.  Lance was nice, in a distant kind of way. And she was pretty...

“M-my heart is pounding, going a mile a minute.” She was staring at the door of Lance's tent. Her hands were sweating too. It felt like she could barely breathe.

Maybe she is your Mate, Master? Charizard suggested

"C-Charizard!" Red's blush intensified.

Well, you say that she is different. Maybe she's the one you want.

Red sighed. Lance... as her Mate...?

She's always been more comfortable with Pokemon. The thought of wanting to be with another human was almost alien! She stroked Charizard's head, trying to gather her tangled thoughts. What was she going to do?

Inside the tent, Lance was meditating. His breasts were sore, but the baby Dratini was cute. And the discomfort was worth it.

He smiled.

Whee! Fantasy is fun~! And Dragon Prince Lance just rocks! Dragon Princess would be cool too ^_~

Yep, Lance is a herm, kind of. He’s got boobs and can lactate. Though in this case, it’s closer to the ‘man with boobs’, and not as close to the dickgirl, since he’s not really got feminine curves. I guess Red didn’t notice?
