Chapter 2 The next morning, Daniel woke up inside his tree. “Must've fallen asleep late last night,” he thought groggily to himself as he let out a big yawn. He hopped out of the tree and looked at his hands and tail. “I'm still a pikachu,” he thought to himself. “Why did this happen to me?” He then remembered that Ann would meet with him after breakfast, so he ran towards that amazing food tree. However, after a little while, Daniel couldn't recognize the trees and plants around him. “Great, now I'm lost,” he told himself. He looked around for any chance of getting back. He then saw a clearing, which he ran for because he thought it was the tree. It wasn't. Instead, a temple laid in front of him. “Funny, I don't remember Ann saying anything about this,” he told himself. He shouldn't have said anything. The temple's guardian heard him and left his hiding place to attack. He flew towards Daniel in rage. Poor Daniel managed to duck in time to not be destroyed by the force of the attack. Daniel looked up to see a salamence attacking him. He started running, not knowing how to attack, with the giant dragon pokemon behind. He managed to run into the trees before it gave up and flew back to the top of the ruined temple. Daniel sighed in relief and continued running, checking back behind him constantly as he went. He shouldn't have though, because when he did, he ran right into Ann! “Ow! Who did that?!” Ann cried, rubbing her head. She looked up to see Daniel doing the same thing. “Where were you? I've been waiting for you for ages!” she told him. “I'm sorry, I got lost,” he explained. His stomach roared. “I didn't get to eat either.” Ann smiled at him. “Well then, I aught to make you a map. But first, I'll take you to get something to eat.” Daniel smiled back. “Sounds great to me.” As the two were walking, Daniel asked, “hey, Ann, whats that temple back there?” Ann stopped walking. She turned to him and said, “I don't know. No one does. Only that salamence, Lance, knows.” Daniel looked at her and thought, “how?” The two then continued walking. “Why doesn't anybody ask him whats inside?” he asked. “Because,” Ann said. “Whenever someone asks, he gets mad at them.” She was silent after she said that. Daniel then began thinking, “was it something I said?” They soon reached the tree, where cherubi and cherrim gave him some berries for lunch. Daniel didn't know what kind they were, but he ate them anyway while Ann made him a map on a leaf. “This should help,” she explained. Every detail on the map, ranging from the shelter to his own tree was present. “Thanks so much Ann. Maybe now I won't get lost,” he said with joy. Ann beamed at him before saying, “Daniel, do you know how to attack?” Daniel looked at her. “Well, sure I do!” he lied, trying to impress her. Ann was surprised. “Well then, can you show me?” she asked in a tone that Daniel couldn't say no to. The two of them walked away from the tree. “Alright, show me,” Ann said. “What do you want me to do first?” he asked. “Agility.” “Agility,” Daniel thought to himself. “This'll be easy!” Too bad that it wasn't. He tried running as fast as he could, but couldn't use the attack. “Here, let me show you,” Ann said. She started running. She got faster and faster till Daniel could barely see Ann anymore, she was so fast. Ann soon stopped running to say, “thats how you do it.” Ann looked at him. “You don't know how to attack, do you?” Daniel couldn't lie to her much longer. “Yes...” Her eyes met his. “Daniel, its nothing to be ashamed of. You've only been a pokemon for a day now. It just takes practice.” Daniel nodded. That was the encouragement he was looking for. Suddenly, a massive flock of spearow suddenly started flying towards them, and boy, they didn't look happy! “Run!” Daniel shouted and the two ran towards the forest. That didn't stop the spearow. The two continued to run until they were trapped. The spearow were attacking and were about to use horn drill! Daniel felt rage he had never felt before and let it out. Sparks from his cheeks launched at the birds and all of them fell towards the ground. Both of them looked to see they were safe. Ann then realized what had happened. “Daniel! You just used thunder bolt!” she shouted with happiness. Daniel then realized what had happened. He was angry at those spearow and his cheeks were pinched up, causing the electricity to leave his cheeks! He could attack now! “Alright!” he yelled with enthusiasm. The two of them then realized. Why were those pokemon attacking them? “Did they have some sort of grudge against you?” Daniel asked. “No, I've never seen them before,” she replied. “Then why would they go for us?” Daniel wondered out loud. They then walked back to their trees, wondering what to do next. On that walk, Daniel admired the beauty of their home, Legend Forest. There were flowers everywhere of many different colors. There were trees everywhere too. Many of them grew something such as fruit, however, it was all already picked to be stored. The trees were various shades of green, many of those colors said 'Summer'. Daniel's mind then wandered somewhere else. “What was those pokemon's problem? Why were we attacked?” he thought. His mind then trailed off once again. “Hey, Ann, why is this place called Legend Forest?” Ann replied, “its called that because many 'legendary pokemon' live here. For example, a bunch of shaymin live here along with many others like mew, and latios,” she explained. “By the way, what do you want to do now? We have plenty of time before dinner.” Daniel began thinking. “Well, right now,” he began. “I don't have any ideas. But, if you want to, how about we go stargazing tonight?” “Hey, that sounds great!” Ann said with her cute little grin spread across her face. “You know what? I have an idea. Why don't we explore the forest? It'll be fun!” Ann said. Daniel couldn't resist not going. He loved exploring and wanted to make Ann happy, so why not? He nodded. The two soon went on their way, happy as clams to be setting out. I hope anyone who read this enjoyed it! Jesus loves you! :) Sheimi
