Chapter 1: Strike "Brent wait!" a voice called from behind. The man turned around, his face and arms a wrinkled pink, an extreme case of third degree burns. "What do you want Matrix?" "Where are you going?" "Misty did this to me. I'm going to see how she likes to get burned." Brent revealed a small blowtorch to Matrix, which he held in his right hand. "Misty's mine!" Matrix replied aiming his pistol at Brent's head. "You won't shoot dead your own brother." "Try me. I killed Robert Waterflower who was basically our brother and I'm going to kill Misty. You're no exception to neither of them." "Then I get her husband." "Fine." Matrix pulled the pistol's hammer back and then slowly let it back in, lowering his pistol. "Do as you wish with him. Just make sure he suffers." "Suffering is my specialty." "I want to see his body, burned to a crisp." "You will. I give you my word." Matrix turned to the convoy of SUVs and took a Spaz Shotgun in hand and a grappling hook in his other. "Listen up, kill Ash, not Misty." He said in a normal tone. "The one who brings me his body will become my right hand. But the son of a bitch who fails in their attempt and comes back alive will be taken to my master. He'll deal with you as he wishes, and I can insure you, no one will survive." Brent slowly walked over to the large window. He stopped just five feet from the window. Through the clear glass he could see Misty, twitching in her sleep. Next to her was her husband, the famous IEA spy, Ash Ketchum. Matrix walked along side the lakeside villa to where a small flower patch was planted. Above two levels was an open window, the curtains fluttering in and out of the room as the wind blew. As a loud gust of wind blew through he fired his grappling hook to the over hanging shingles. When the hook locked to the roof the cord was coiled up tight and a green light appeared on the back of the climbing apparatus. Brent took out a flip-lid lighter and held it up to the torch. With the twist of a knob a hissing sound began. The air around Brent became wavy, his image mysterious to those soldiers watching him. Slowly, Brent raised the lighter of to the burner, but just as he lit the lighter he signaled for a few of the soldiers to come near him. Three twirled their MP5s around to their torsos to their back where their shotguns were also locked in position. Two others got into one of the Suburbans and slowly drove behind Brent. Matrix peered into the open window of the second story bedroom. Quietly he placed his foot on the windowsill and then the other. His first glance deceived him, for she was more like her parents, more than what he had suspected. Her walls were decorated with video game posters: Metroid Prime, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Perfect Dark. Several movie pictures hung on the door and the ceiling: Tomb Raider, Gone in 60 Seconds, Resident Evil, and Resident Evil Apocalypse. Slowly and quietly he stepped over to Jade's bedside. His hands were held open like a snake's jaw before springing on a victim. Brent raised the lighter to the torch as five soldiers aimed their MP5s at the bedroom window, ready to shoot it into pieces. "Welcome back to Hell, Misty." He slid his finger across the rough surface of the igniter; a spark skimmed into the path of the hissing gas and lit the path with an orange river. "Blow the window." The soldiers loaded their chambers and grasped the triggers, but then Misty pulled her hand from underneath her pillow. Grasped tightly in her hand was a black Walther P99. She fired it, directly hitting the gas torch that Brent was holding, causing a massive explosion. The SUV behind the six men caught the explosion and blew up also flying high into the air and crashing back down in a nearby pond that was just off of the path of the driveway. As soon as the torch exploded Jade shot up out of bed. As she jumped out Matrix grabbed her around her waist and pulled her to the window. But Jade fought back and kicked Matrix in the groin causing him to let go of her. With her open opportunity she ran to the door and towards the steps. She ran through a cream colored living room and past the fireplace. Quickly she grabbed the golden stirring stick and turned back around to where her bedroom was. When she turned Matrix was running at her. With a weak swing he ripped the stick out of her hand and picked her up. Outside, two dozen infantry units lined up with their MP5 aimed at the bedroom window waiting for Ash or Misty to peek out. Two lines were formed, the front line with twelve men and the back with twelve also. The front line began to advance on the house while the back knelt down and continued a still aim at the window. Ash ran into the walk-in closet followed by Misty who stood against the adjacent wall with her pistol ready. He threw clothes off of the racks and shelves and found what he was looking for, a stack of three oak drawers. After Misty shot one of the infantry units dead Ash pulled open the middle drawer. Inside were weapons laid out but covered by a plate of bulletproof glass. Without anymore delay Ash typed in a code on the digital lock. A click echoed through the closet and the glass rose up. "Just like old times." "Killing terrorists together. Never saw it coming." As Misty shot another man dead, Ash threw her a sawed-off shotgun and a box of slugs. "Go find Jade, I'll hold them off here." Ash said pumping the shotgun. "Okay." Misty pumped her shotgun and ran for the door. "Ash! Be careful. And if you see Matrix…blow his head apart." "Same for you." Misty opened up the bedroom door and stepped into a blue painted hallway. On the walls were shelves covered in 1:16 scale car models from Dodge Vipers, to Ford Mustangs, to Lamborghini Murcielagos. Above was a track with five lights on it, providing excellent light. As she walked towards the entryway and living room the front door was blown off of its hinges. Quickly she slid open the closet door and stepped inside. Several footsteps and voices could be heard from the doorway. Matrix stood on the balcony overlooking the entryway and living room. In his right hand was the stirring stick and in his left was Jade who was still fighting to get away. "She's in the closet!" he yelled to the five infantry. The one in front grasped his MP5 tightly and quietly approached the closet. With the others closely behind him they made their way to the white sliding door. "MOM!" The front infantry grasped the small knob and pulled the door open. But when he looked inside there was no one there. He looked to the left and right but saw no sign of Misty. "Sir," the infantry turned around and looked up to Matrix. "Where'd she go-" He was cut off when Misty jumped out of the closet and twisted the shotgun's strap around the infantry's neck and pulled it down to snap his neck. When the others turned around she raised up both shotguns and fired at the men, blowing all five back against one of the walls. "Excellent, Misty. You know, sometimes I wish you were still with me and not against me." As Misty listened to Matrix speak she thrusted the shotguns in the air and then harshly thrusted them back down, pumping both of them. "You do realize that you have my daughter? Right?" she asked wiping a renegade strand of hair out of her eye. "I believe I do know that." "Good, then you'll understand that now I'm going to have to beat your ass." "The same wit that I used to love about you. Just like your father." "Stop talking about my father." "Are you ashamed of him? I can't believe that. After all, he was slightly closer to you than to me." "He wasn't close to you at all." "Richard calls you your dad now, correct?" "Yeah, why?" "Fathers shouldn't keep secrets from their daughters." "What?" "Ask him. If you want to know the truth." A long grin spread across her face, she looked down at her dual shotguns at her side, and grasped the handles tightly. "You give me this bullshit that you know me so well, but yet you really don't." "How so?" "You should know that you have MY daughter, you broke into MY house, and you're slinging shit about my dad." "What does that have to do with you?" "You're doing all of this crap, and yet you forget so easily…that I AM NOT THE TYPE OF GIRL TO SCREW WITH!" "But yet you have a daughter?" "You have no idea how much I will enjoy seeing you with a bullet in your head. And after you die, I'll dance on your grave!" "When you find out the truth, you'll be dancing on your father's grave as well. If you live long enough." "GO BACK TO HELL!" Misty threw the two shotguns in the air and raised her Walther towards Matrix's head, but just before she could pull the trigger he threw the stirring stick at her chest. Quickly she did the spits and fell to the ground, catching the stirring stick as it passed over her head. When she stood back up she twirled the stick around her body and then reached her hand back to grasp the shotgun as it fell behind her. "MISTY!" "Dad?" Jade stopped fighting and listened intently to the voice of her father. "Dad!" Misty looked over and saw two of the infantry fighting Ash in hand-to-hand combat. "It's not over Matrix. What we have is here one second-" She paused as she pointing the stick at Matrix. After staring Matrix in the eye she pivoted towards Ash and threw the stirring stick through the hallway and into the bedroom where it went through one of the infantry's back. "-and gone the next." Before the infantry fell to the ground Ash spun underneath him and pulled the stick out and thrust it into the other man's neck and then pulled it back out again. The four other men ran into the room. The one in front threw a punch at Ash but he ducked underneath his arm and jabbed the stick through his bicep and then out and into his chest. But before he could turn around two other men picked Ash up by the neck. He was off of his feet for several seconds until the two threw him through a glass end table. Misty ran up the stairs after Matrix. Running down a hallway she picked up a letter opener that laid on a desk and then she ran towards an office room. "MOM! LOOK OUT!" She quickly fell down to her knees and slid underneath Matrix's arm as he swung a sword at her head level. As she slid underneath him she jabbed his right arm with the sharp letter opened, and then she kicked herself back up and turned to Matrix. "You bitch!" "I try." She said with a slight giggle. "So do I." He threw Jade against the wall on his left side knocking her unconscious. "Jade!" But before she could run towards Jade, Matrix lunged at her with the sword but she ducked down and rolled on her back to the right. He dove to the ground and sliced at just two inches above the carpet but she kicked up. When Matrix slid behind her she kicked him in the face making him roll onto his back. Without looking back she ran to Jade's side, patting her cheeks to wake her up. "She's out cold." Matrix said after he kicked up onto his feet with a devilish grin on his face. Several of the infantry were running back to the SUVs. Three of them drove towards the master bedroom. Hanging out the windows were men holding their MP5s and ready to fire until…two rockets hit the SUVs dead on, sending them flying into midair. The three men inside the bedroom looked out to the front courtyard and saw a yellow sports car drift across the front lawn. Two machine guns were exposed from the front bumper as it drifted over the green grass. As it finished its drift it performed a 270-degree turn and fired at the other SUVs stationed near the front of the villa. Finally the exotic sports car stopped. Several infantry units ran ahead towards it with their automatic weapons aimed dangerously at its aggressive face. But as one of the men approached the driver side of the car the door flew open striking him in the mid-section causing the man to bend over the top. A red headed woman stepped out and kneed the man in the face, grabbing his shotgun off of his back before he fell to the ground. Several rounds were fired, lighting the estate's courtyard and painting the lush, green grass red as shells flew into the opposing me. The gunfire ceased. No light, no sound, just silence. The soldiers slowly approached the woman with smiles on their faces. From the distance of the master bedroom, Ash could spot the Sunfire Yellow Ferrari 360 Spider through the gun smoke and night fog. "Jesse." In Jessie's hand was the Spaz Shotgun that was raised in the air along with her left hand. Behind her was a tall man, well built and intimidating. He stood motionless behind her with his own Spaz Shotgun stretched out from his body and locked to the back of her head. "Why did you come?" Ash asked quietly while staring helplessly. The man nudged at Jessie's stiff back twice with the shotgun's large muzzle. He pumped it once and then laid his head on her shoulder. "Turn around. I want to get a good look at your face before it's blown apart." He nudged her again. "NOW!" his voice echoed through the large courtyard and the villa. Slowly she turned around with a look of defeat and worry. Then suddenly her sad face let out a grin and she lowered her hands. "Put 'em back up!" the man demanded. "No!" she replied back. "What!?" "Turn around, I think that chick's flashing you." "What!" he quickly turned around and looked towards a decorative rock wall where a woman was standing behind a sniper rifle. Jessie swiftly grabbed the shotgun that was leaning against the man's leg and shot him in the back quickly sending him forward and then he fell back as a rifle shot echoed. As he fell to the ground Jessie pumped the shotgun and looked at his face that had a stream of blood trickling down it. "JESS! DUMBASSES! 6 O'CLOCK!" Melody shouted across the yard. "Fun." Jessie spun the two-spaz shotguns onto her shoulders and fired backwards at the men, and then she twirled them around and pumped them. "I've got three." "Congrats to you, chica." Melody waved her hand over her head several times and then reloaded the chamber on the M-16. With the open opportunity, Ash ran out of the dismantled bedroom. In the hall he jumped over several infantry corpses and blood puddles. He stopped at the curved staircase and listened for Misty or Jade. "AH!" "Misty!" Ash ran up the staircase as fast as he could, picking up a jet-black Berretta 92F. Directly down the hallway he saw Misty crawling towards him, she was holding her left arm tightly and moaning in pain. "Mist! What the HELL happened!?" "That FENDEHO PUNTA (@^%$ing bitch in Spanish-just to let you know) sliced my wrist. That reminds me, I have to kick his ass now." "No! Stay here!" "Ash, he sliced all of my veins in my wrist." "You need to cover that up, NOW!" "What about Matrix?" "I'll take him out!" "Okay." Misty began crawling again towards the nearest bathroom. "GOD BE WITH YOU!" "Don't worry, I can take care of myself-" a long sword slashed into the mahogany doorframe just a mere inch from Ash's head. "Holy shit." He jumped back and slammed the office door closed trapping the sharp blade between the door and its frame. "Open this door back up!" "No!" "OPEN IT!" "Okay." Ash walked down to the end of the hallway and took a running start at the door. When he was a foot from it he jumped up and dropkicked it in the center. It flew open hard and forced Matrix several feet back; he also ended up rolling over the oak desk in the center of the room. Misty opened up the medicine cabinet above the porcelain sink. On the top shelf was a two-ounce tube of Neosporin. As she opened up the tube and administered it to her wounds the door burst open and a man backed towards her. "WOAH GOD!" Misty grabbed onto the corner of the swinging mirror and slammed it into the infantry's back, shattering it all over the light-blue tiled floor. "Nice." "Jess? What are you doing here?" "I heard the explosion-OH! My props on blowin' the Chevy." "Yeah thanks, I thought you'd like that." "Where's Jade?" "Matrix has her in the office. Ash is fighting him." "Why aren't you?" "Because the dickless piece-a-shit is wielding a four and a half foot sword." "Where the hell did he get one of those?" "I don't know-" A large object crashed into the mahogany door that lead to the office. "You aren't strong enough, Ash." "Misty-" "I got this." She searched the large bathroom for her tool of choice. In the middle drawer she found a pair of barber's scissors. "Girl, what ARE you going to do with those?" Misty laid down just outside the office. She peered underneath and saw Ash lying on his stomach a few inches from the door. "Misty?" Jesse asked under her breath She slid the scissors under the door once she had Ash's attention. He smirked at her and faked being unconscious. Dozens of beams of lights shined through the light fog on the back road on Lake Minnetonka. A second convoy of vehicles advanced towards the house, all black Cadillac Escalades. Melody was dismounting her M16 when the beams shined on her. Through the fog she could see the convoy speeding at about 75 mph by the sound of the engines. "Yeah. Yeah! YEAH!" Melody back to her and Tracey's next-door lakeside villa. When she reached the garage, motion sensors opened it up, revealing a two tone Ford GT40, a black BMW 760, Ford SVT Lightning, and her silver Porsche Carrera GT. As she sat in the exotic and started it up, she pushed the Porsche emblem on the leather upholstered steering wheel to reveal a newer weapon's panel that still raised from her left armrest. When the all of the weapons were hot she inserted a CD and turned to track 3, Dip It Low by Christina Millian. The drivers in the first Escalade accelerated towards the house where several of their own vehicles were on fire and flipped over. Many infantry units were lying still along the side of the house and even some in the home. "Mel?" "James?" she asked after she flipped a switch with the image of a phone imprinted on it. "Melody, you have to scatter the convoy." "I don't have visual. Where'd they go-never mind! I've got them!" "Where are they?" "Just made the last left turn near the rock wall." "Give me a minute to get there." "No time." "What are you going to do?" "Test out GM's shocks." "Don't!" "Why not!?" "The roof will cave in!" "Not at my speed! I'll just glide. Got to go!" she pushed the button again and then resumed by placing her right hand on the shifter. "Okay, high speed? Check. Rock wall? Check. Escalade convoy? Check. I'm on top this time guys!" Melody drove off of the seven-foot high rock wall and was soaring through the dark night. Below her she was just barely skimming the roofs of the two rear SUVs. Within another instant her car crashed on top of the convoy and she drove over each car to the end. When the Porsche landed on the paved driveway it performed a 180-degree spin and faced off with the Escalade convoy. "Zoom zoom." Melody shifted into first and held down the clutch. She revved the loud engine several times to its height at 8000 RPMs. "COME ON BOY!" she slammed down the accelerator and burned all four wheels out during the accel. The backend began to whip around when the engine hit 5750 RPMs; its 435 lbs-ft of torque was too much power. "TOO MUCH TORQUE!" The silver exotic's torque was too much for Melody. The car's backend whipped around so its rear end was backing up towards the convoy. With only a matter of seconds Melody pushed in the clutch and went to reverse. As she approached the SUVs they scattered so they would not be hit. She drove between all of the cars. When she made it through the convoy she shifted back into first and revved the engine while still having the clutch in. Matrix slid his sword into its sheath that was on his back. "How does it feel Ash, to be weaker than your wife?" "I don't know. How does it feel to have diamond imprints on your face?" Matrix reached slowly up to his scared face. The feel of diamonds indentations just like Ash had said. "Your BITCH gave these to me!' "I'll do worse than that!" he slashed the scissors up at Matrix's stomach and made direct contact. Ash stared into Matrix's shocked eyes. They were wide, and turning white. Matrix reached down and grabbed Ash's hand that was wrapped around the handle of the scissors. His hand began to twitch at a fast pace. But then he let out a loud scream when Ash pulled the two handles apart, spreading the two blades. "We need to get Jade!" "I know that Jesse!" "Then why are you walking away from the office?" "Because Sonya isn't in the office." "Do you need to solve all of your problems with Sonya?" "She gets the job done…oh no." Misty and Jesse gazed down the staircase where five men were positioned with their weapons aimed. "Miss Waterflower-" "Ketchum!" "Put your hands in the air! I don't want to shoot you Misty!" "How about….NO, Tyler!" "PUT YOUR HANDS UP! BOTH OF YOU! BEFORE I FIRE-" Misty pulled her Walther out of her pink robe's pocket and fired at a chandelier hanging over the men. The bullet went through the chain holding it up and let it fall on top of the men. Jesse slowly walked down the steps and stared confused at the men. "How much did that thing way?" "About 175 pounds. Who cares?" "The architect of your house. That chandelier cracked all of your Persian tile." "What!?" "Yeah." "That sucks. Oh well. We can afford it. Let's go!" "Right behind you." Jesse followed Misty towards the garage but she kept looking back. "That is the nastiest thing I've ever seen." Misty walked into the garage where in front of were was a red Ford Mustang SVT Cobra convertible, an orange Lamborghini Murcielago Spider, a red Dodge Stealth RT/Twin Turbo, Dodge RAM-SRT, and a Midnight Blue BMW 3 Series convertible. "Hello ladies. Sonya! Wake up!" The car's engine started up and the lights flashed on. "Good evening Sonya." "Why aren't you trying to save Jade?" "I need to get something. Sonya, pop the trunk!" a metallic thud echoed through the soundproof garage; the trunk slowly rose up to it full height. "Thank you Sonya." Misty reached in and pulled down a black leather barrier. Behind it were several machine guns, pistols, clips, and two swords. "Taking the RCP-90?" "No." "Then what?" "This." Misty pulled out the two swords and flashed them in front of Jesse. "Swords? There are about 100 terrorists swarming your house and you're going to fight them off with two swords?" "They can become a staff." She jammed the two handles together and twisted them and then grinning after the sound of a click sounded. "Okay….now you have a staff with two blades." "Did I forget to tell you that they conduct electrical current?" "No way!" "Way! Sonya! Enable cruise control and Defense Level…let's say level 9. Now let's go spark up attitudes." Misty flipped two switches and the double bladed staff came alive with an angelic humming. No movement was made in the dark room. Even without high ceilings the gloomy space gave off the sinister lair. The only visible light was that of two blue orbs that seemed to glow. "Master! What is it?" A woman approached the two orbs and stood in front of them fearfully. "He is not as strong as I once saw. The girl and her friends are stronger though there number is fewer." "What is happening to Matrix?" "He is dying." "How? I thought you were watching over him!? I thought you were giving him your power!?" "I gave him the will to do the impossible! Remember that he is nothing without my power!" "So even with your power she is winning?" "Yes. I trained her too well. She is overcoming him and myself." "Give Matrix the power to finish her off while she is with him!" "I cannot! She is not the one who is with him." "Who else is powerful enough to harm Matrix than her?" "He was once the Chosen One." "The Chosen One?" "He is no longer the however." "Master, who is the Chosen One?" "He was the only human who could stop me before." "THEN GIVE MATRIX THE POWER TO KILL THIS CHOSEN ONE!" "DO NOT ORDER ME WHAT TO DO! IF I KILL HIM NOW, ALL OF MY PLANS WILL BE RUINED AND THIS WILL ALL BE FOR NOTHING! I DIDN'T KILL MY BEST PROTEGE FOR NOTHING!" "I'm sorry Master. But can't you kill this Chosen One?" "I CANNOT! HE AND THE GIRL ARE THE KEYS TO MY REVENGE! The last time I challenged them, they brought about my apocalypse! BUT AFTER THIS! AFTER THE ULTIMATE BATTLE! I WILL BRING THE WORLD INTO IT'S APOCALYSE!" "Yes Master! I look forward to seeing it." "But on the contrary. You will not survive to see the end." "What!? After all I do for you, you let me die!" "I have seen it, and it is something that I don't have the power to control." "How can you not control it!? You have the power to save Matrix right now and yet you don't! Are you betraying us!?" "I will spare him. But not for you. If he dies in this battle, then he will not fight in the battle for life." "Matrix will see the apocalypse won't he?" "No. He will indeed parish in the battle caused by years of bad blood. And it is bad blood that will kill him. For good cannot kill evil, only evil can kill evil." "Will we have trouble killing this evil?" "Remember, good refuses to die, but evil lives to die." "Can't you ever say what you mean!" "THERE IS ONLY ONE PERSON WHO CAN KILL MATRIX! AND THAT PERSON LIVES TO DIE FOR THAT PERSON IS EVIL!" As Misty and Jesse ran up the staircase a group of infantry lined up behind them. Each loaded their MP5's chambers and aimed steadily at the two women. "Your time is up Misty!" a woman called out. "Yeah right." Misty rested her hands back at her hips and turned around grinning at the soldiers. "Jess, keep going." "Don't be a hero Misty." "I don't have to be. Now go." "I'm not moving." "Now that's a good girl. Why won't you be wise and do the same Waterflower?" "Waterflower? Man, you terrorists are out of touch. I kind of got married fourteen years ago." "That would explain why we're taking the girl. Want to watch, Misty?" the woman asked, her voice muffled slightly by the face guard that rested just inches form her jaw. "Want to try getting by me?" "Drop the attitude! You're nothing without Matrix backing you up!" "That's right Carolyn, I am nothing without Matrix behind me. That's why I kicked his butt in that Hell In a Cell match." "What match?" "You don't know what match I'm talking about? I'm sure you cleaned up some of Matrix's blood…and mine. I would say we each pumped out a few quarts." "Oh my God." "Trust me girl, you stand no chance." "I'm the one with the men behind me and the automatic weapons." "You're right Carolyn. You are the one with the men behind you. The only thing is, they aren't all yours." "What!?" Carolyn and her line of infantry pivoted around and found themselves face to face with a red Ford GT40. "I'd run!" Misty shouted, following Jessie up the stairs. "Set tight! I don't want anyone backing down!" but the men did not listen. As Tracey began to fire off round after round the men all jumped out of the way or ran. The only person standing was Carolyn who was pierced by dozens of bullets. When the smoke from the chain guns lifted Tracey and James made their way into the villa. Shavings of the two marble pillars lay next to Carolyn's crimson body and chunks of the walls and steps also. "Want me to do anything else?" "Uh, yeah! You see those mercenaries sneaking up behind you?" "Oh yeah." Tracey began waving to the men and then flicked them off. "What's up guys?" "Yeah, well, you can kill them." "Okay." "Good." Misty gave him a congratulatory thumbs up and wink of her right eye. From there, she and Jessie continued up the staircase. "Hands up!" the front mercenary ordered. "Hands up now!" "No!" he replied without care. "Dominick! Bring in your flank!" "Excuse me?" Suddenly, another arsenal of mercenaries flocked t the entrance of the villa. In their hands were newer weapons that Tracey had never seen. From what looked like rocket launchers, a select few mini guns, and what appeared to be a new type of flamethrower. "Agent Sketchit, will you please reconsider?" the man offered lifting his black mask. "Yes." Tracey dropped his dual, two tone, Beretta M85s. They bounced on the floor with a metallic clank and then laid silence. "Your heroic efforts were in vein, agent Sketchit. And though you cooperated, I'm afraid we cannot let you live. Our Master's orders." "Come on! Does Matrix really want me dead? What did I do to him besides help my friend?" "Whoever mentioned Matrix?" "What?" Tracey looked up at the ceiling and then back at the mercenaries. "Dominick!" "Right!" the shorter man, Dominick, approached Tracey with his black Desert Eagle in his left hand. "Hold your hands up!" He lifted up Tracey's search and checked behind his waist. "Spread your legs?" "Are you serious?" "Spread them!" "Al right, you're the one with the gun." Tracey slowly walked over to the nearby marble pillar. It's rounded sides missing over a quarter of its glossy stone and a large portion of was cracked up to the top. Tracey spread his legs apart but only two feet. His attempts to anger the mercenary worked. Dominick harshly kicked Tracey's right leg and then his left. Once his legs were further apart he began his search. He checked Tracey's legs and torso. "What's this?" Dominick slowly pulled out a set of keys and jingled them in Tracey's face. "I suppose that your car can't do anything without keys, no can it?" Tracey looked over at the many men laughing and the lame joke. By his good luck they were gathered around the parked GT40, the car that will give Tracey his edge. "Dom, what are those weapons your mercs have?" "The rocket launchers?" "No, the other ones. The weapon with the two pound tank?" "Oh, those would be our new flamethrower, with the heat to melt a small boulder." "Holy shit." "Would you like to see a demonstration?" "No I'm good. But how about a demonstration of mine? GT, flamethrower!" At his command, the car's side skirts lowered down two inches. The cars headlights turned on as its engine did and it began to purr loudly. "Now!" At his second command, orange and blue flames were emitted from the entire side skirt's length, incinerating the mercenaries' legs. "No!" Dominick let go of Tracey in his shocked state. He ran for his men who were crawling on the black grass, most of them missing their legs. He slid on the ground in front of the other general, who by his own lack of luck had his entire body charred. He was panting loudly, wheezing, and bleeding from his mouth, torso, arms, and legs. "Charles. Why you?" Tracey watched Dominick's expressions from anger to sadness to anger. His final expression, of anger, showed both sadness and anger. He had tears running down his face, and blood veins bulging fro his forehead. "You see, that's what I don't get about terrorists. They incinerate innocent people, stab and shoot them, and cut off their heads. But when it's done to them, they can't take it. You know what Dominick, welcome to war!" Tracey spun around and kicked his ankle against the nearby pillar. From the front of his boot a combat knife sprung out and sliced into Dominick's forehead. He had stopped in his running tracks and had stood still for many seconds until his body collapsed. James crawled across the grass and the stone driveway. He dragged a long wire behind him that in turn was connected to a radio receiver. It stretched across the front grounds and the corners of the estate. On the ends, James laid several rocks down to hold the wire down. Then he pulled out a handheld device that began to blink. Ash stared deep into the white eyes in front of him. They were both so white; the pupils could no longer be seen, only pure white. The face in front of him was shaking faster and faster, sweat drops were forced off of its surface. "See you in Hell Matrix." Ash grasped the handles harder and was ready to pull them to their full distance apart when Matrix pushed Ash's hands together, colliding his knuckles. He had let go and held his hands in each other. Blood was bubbling from his reddened knuckles. Matrix pulled out the scissors and ran his fingers up the blade, absorbing the wet blood onto his fingers. He then threw the scissor down and jumped at Ash. He forced him down to the ground and rubbed the blood off from between Ash's eyes down to the tip of his nose. "Your daughter will pay for your mistakes! I'll see to it that she dies-" But Ash had punched Matrix off and had then jumped up to his feet. Matrix did the same but then resumed a calm position, only to touch the small amount of blood protruding from his top lip. "You want to fight?" But Ash stood still and never removed his glare. "Fine." Matrix made the first move, a charge for Ash. But when the move was countered so was counter. Matrix had turned the dodge into a spear that took Ash down. As stood up, he kicked down at Ash's chest but he rolled out of the way to sweep Matrix off of his feet and onto his back. The opportunity was given and Ash took it. Matrix stood up and then turned around-he was punched hard in the face., and then another, and another-but he blocked this one, then another to the stomach that got through his defenses, and then a Chinese palm punch to the torso that forced Matrix back, he had almost lost his footing. Another opportunity was given and Ash took it as well. As Matrix gathered his balance again Ash had ran onto a chair and jumped off the cushion colliding into Matrix's chest with a dropkick. Matrix flipped over and landed on his stomach, Ash landed on the backrest of the chair that fell down, providing him with a proper cushion. Matrix stood up again and looked around for Ash, yet no sign of him, he had just vanished. But then, Matrix turned around and was struck in the face by a 'Super Kick' or, 'Sweet Chin Music' known better in the wrestling world. Matrix cleared the desk completely but not the seat of the tipped over chair. His neck crashed hard on it then he flipped over the rest, the collision looked as if it killed Matrix. Ash walked over to the chair, his right foot causing him to limp. He peered over the seat and was kicked hard in the forehead. He began to fall back but Matrix wrapped his legs around the back of Ash's neck and pulled him over. Then, as Ash lay on his back, Matrix did a summersault and knelt over Ash. "Where did you learn how to fight? Last time we met you got a bullet in the chest." "The bitch taught me." "I see. She didn't teach you good enough." He kneed Ash hard, knocking the wind out of him. "Not trained well enough, indeed. She obviously taught you the same crap that Jade taught her. Funny, Jade taught Misty." "Why…is that," he coughed," funny?" "Because, your darling daughter's name happens to be Jade. Jade Gabrielson taught Misty, and do you know who taught Jade? It's the real reason why Misty picked up the techniques so quickly and why she is a master at them. You don't know who taught Jade? I'll give you two hints while you're catching your breath. I didn't teach her, and second: he should've been…your father-in- law." "No." "It didn't strike any of you odd that a man's boss adopts his daughter after the tragic death, instead of a brother, sister, uncle, aunt, or father or mother? Talk to your…father-in-law, Ash. You may learn something." Matrix walked around toward the other side of the desk while Ash quietly stood up to his feet. He ran at Matrix, but he countered by side kicking Ash in the gut, he irish whipped him toward the nearby window but then kicked kneed him hard in the stomach. Ash flipped over Matrix's knee and crashed through the second story window. "Don't take this personal, Ketchum. It's a vicious cycle." Matrix ran over to Jade's out cold body and picked her up. He carried her to the door, holding her tightly as if she were his own. As he approached the door it flew open and Jessie ran in. "Oh my God, Matrix! Misty!" "Shut up!" Matrix lifted up his leg and pulled out a knife. He slit it fast across Jessie's cheek; she fell to the ground, hard. But he continued down the hallway now with a Desert Eagle in his left hand. He reached the middle of the hallway where the bathroom was located. As he walked by a leg surprised him and hit him in the face. Matrix flipped backward and landed on his stomach. "Jade, are you okay?" Misty began patting Jade's cold cheeks, the girl lying motionless in her mother's arms. "Jade, wake up!" "She's mine!" Matrix stumbled in the small bathroom and hit Misty across the face with the Desert Eagle's long muzzle, he then took Jade once again. On reaching the entrance to the house, Matrix became weak and weary. The sights he saw were nothing of what he had expected. More men were dead than bruises on any of the six agents. Empty bullet shells were scattered across the once glossy tiled floor and blood was smeared on the white marble tile and pillars. Remnants of stone and marble were chipped off ever part of the room and a massive chandelier ay upon a group of infantry units. "This better be worth it." Matrix proceeded to the front door and ran out as fast as he could. He rested Jade in the passenger seat of the blue Panoz Esperante and returned to the remaining vehicles. "Sir, where have you been?" asked a mercenary. "Getting my ass kicked? You?" "Same here sir." "Give me that rocket launcher." "Yes sir." The young man reached for the four-foot long weapon of mass destruction. "Thanks." Matrix pushed several buttons and then aimed it at the house. A charge sound rang through the area. "Sir, may I ask what you're doing?" "I'm thinking GoldenEye Rogue Agent." "What-" the young man jumped into the Suburban as Matrix fired off the rocket at the two-story garage. Doors flew through the air, debris fell on the driveway and the front yard. "Matrix, may I ask why you did that?" "Misty isn't so tough without her Viper." He began to let out a diabolical laugh that freaked out the young man. "Sir? You mean…that car?" "What?" Matrix looked across the large front yard where a red sports car revved up. It stayed in neutral for several seconds, revving whenever it could. "Son of a bitch! How did it survive?" "It's actually…been there for the past five minutes." "What?" Matrix grabbed onto the mercenaries collar and lifted him up, he slammed him hard against the black SUV door. "How long?" "Five minutes…or more." "Why didn't you tell me?" "You didn't ask." "Fool!" Matrix through the young man down onto the ground and fired off his pistol at him. He holstered his pistol again and looked at the car. "If you were in the garage you would have been nothing but pieces of black metal!" The Viper shifted into first and drove toward where the garage was. Its path was behind the structure, showing Matrix of his so-called plan. "No!" Sitting in demolished garage was each of the cars with no scratches or anything, besides flat tires. "She put armor on all of her cars!" "Yeah, I did." Matrix spun around with the rocket launcher in hand. But before he could strike, the target struck him. Misty hand punched Matrix in the stomach, chest, chest, stomach, face, an uppercut. He was panting now once again. All of the action was becoming too much for him. But he gained some stamina once he dropped the heavy weapon. As he did he signaled for Misty to fight. She charged at him, screamed as loud as she could to give him the idea of her doing a powerful move, but as he ducked down to his back she flipped over him. He stood up, feeling relieved on not being hit, but when he did she ran back at him, drop kicked him and performed a back flip that she landed on her right knee. But the move was too late for Matrix did a back flip because of the force, but countered the fall because of the timing. Matrix fell to the ground, landing on his left knee. "Too slow." "Too old." This time Matrix made the move. He charged and went for a spear, but Misty knew of his upcoming move. As he ran at her she fell onto her back and let him run over her, but as he ran over her, she kicked him in the butt with her left foot and used her right foot to kick herself back up. Once she regained her footing she performed a roundhouse kick that struck Matrix on the right side of his face as he turned to her. Matrix had rolled over toward the SUV and at his feet was rocket launcher. He fished his foot underneath it and waited for Misty to run at him. Once she did he jumped up, grabbed the weapon as it rose and then kicked Misty with his other foot. He landed on the grass and aimed the weapon down at Misty. He slowly moved it in until it was touching her forehead. "You wouldn't." she said desperately. "I would." "You couldn't." "Why?" The Viper parked and stayed still, watching Matrix. As soon as he lifted the rocket launcher, the Viper's computer hacked into the electronic safety on the weapon and fired it. "No!" BOOM! Wooden debris from the boathouse was seen from the other side of the lake from where Misty was sitting. She watched in horror as a boat crashed down in the water and sank. "Sonya." Was all Misty could say. "Matrix!" she turned to all corners of the yard and saw him sitting in his car. He backed it up, floored, and spun it around with a 180. He accelerated toward the open road; the other vehicles began to follow and all of the mercenaries. James stood up and grasped the remote as hard as he could. His thumb slowly moved over the bottom. 3…2…1…BOOM! The long wire exploded, sending flames high into the air. All of the vehicles within thirty feet were falling from the sky. "No!" Jessie grasped onto Misty's arm and held her back from running to the explosion. "He killed them! They're dead-" "No they aren't." Jessie let go of Misty and ran up to the top of the small hill near the tall white wall surrounding the estate. "They aren't dead." She watched the blue exotic sports car drive off without any scratch while the cars behind her…were left to nothing.
