**Chapter 8: Become Who You Were Trained to Be** The rain poured down during the cold Saturday. Thunder rumbled the cemetary ground. But even though the terrible weather, many people came to pay there respects to Jade Gabrielson. Jesse, James, Tracey, and Melody had all been at the funeral for some time. They stood beside the cascat with there umbrellas so not to get soaked by the rain. James and Tracey were wearing their black suits and black ties. Their black Italian shoes were very absorbant towards the mud. The two often shook there feet to try and get some of the water out. Jesse and Melody were bothwearing black dresses with black high heeled shoes. Melody had a black hat and veil. Amelia Ketchum had even showed up for the occasion, along with Daisy, Violet, and Lilly Waterman, who hadn't seen their little sister for seven long years. The minister had come and had gone and Misty had not even showed up yet and neither had Ash. Richard Carrington had come to pay his respects for Jade being noble ebough to tell Misty what Matrix was up to even though it cost her her life. Karen Ross was at the funeral but was only there to hopefully see Ash. "So, where's Ash? I only came to this shin dig to see him?" said Karen coldly "You only came to this funeral to see Ash?" said Melody turning to Karen with her fist clentched. "Of course. Did you think I cared about this girl. She was a terrorist, she deserved to die." the company looked at Karen in astonishment that she would say such a thing at a funeral. They all looked over to Melody to hear what Melody would have to say. "You are one lucky bitch, you are so lucky that Misty isn't here to hear you say that. In an instant she would've had her foot your face. You would have been out faster than Ash was when Misty gave Ash a Sweet Chin Music. You really have no idea who she was trained by. She was trained to fight by the number one most dangerous terrorist in the world, think of what she would do to someone like you. And I can asure you that Ash won't be going out with you again. He was there to see what Jade did for us. He sacraficed her life to tell Misty what Matrix was planning to do. She also..." she paused as Jesse pointed over to the parking lot. Melody turned around and saw Jade's Ford GT40 drive up and stop. "If I were you, Karen, I'd run far away. That's Misty, and she will kill you!" Karen turned around and ran away to the parking lot on the otherside of the cemetary to her BMW Z4. She jumped in and drove off as fast as she could. The group saw Misyt walk through the cemetary wearing a black coat that hung down to her just above her ankles. She also wore a black skirt with black gloves, a pair of black boots with legs stretching up passt Misty's knees. They all saw her walk right through the rain without an umbrella or hat. Amelia was the first to run out to Misty. She hugged Misty as hard as she could and kissed her like she was her own daughter. Next her sisters ran to her. They hugged her the same way and kissed her. The four escorted Misty to the cascut. Misty stopped twenty feet away. She made sure everyone in the graveyard were gone except for her sisters, Mrs. Ketchum, and her friends. She walked up to the cascut alone. Everyone stayed ten feet back to let her pay her respects. Misty put her bouquet of flowers and laid them across the cascut. She reached into her jacket and pulled out Jade's own two Walther P99s and set them on the cascut on the outside of the flowers and had the two barrels point at eachother. "What does she have guns for?" asked Daisy worried "We'll tell you later." said Melody with her arm around the three sisters and Mrs. Ketchum. Misty stood infront of the cascut for several minutes. She stood over Jade's head, or where it was in the cascut.) She took her Shawn Michaels necklace and laid it on top of the cascut (Jade also loved Shawn Michaels) Misty stood over and started whispering over the cascut. She began shouting, "I'm going to get him Jade. I let you down once, and I'm not going to let you down again. I'm going to put a bullet in Matrix's head, and he won't be able to kill me. I won't die until I fulfill my promose to you. Your Walthers will both get their revenge. This won't be the last time Matrix sees these pistols., and it won't be the last time Matrix sees us as a tag team. Nothing will ever split us apart, not even death." Misty spoke those words to Jade and than walked to her sisters, Melody, and Mrs. Ketchum who all hugged her and tried to make her feel better. She then walked over to Tracey and James who both kissed her on the forehead and hugged her. Across the cemetary grounds and in the parking lot, a silver Lamborghini Murcielag drove up. "Ash." Misty whispered as she saw him climb out of the car with a bouquet of flowers. "Ash!" she yelled and than ran to meet him. She ran through the rain which now was pouring even harder. She ran to Ashgetting her skirt and boot covered in mud. When she reached Ash, she jumped into him. He hugged her and kissed her on the forehead. The two stayed up by the car for a few minutes. As Ash and Misty walked down to the cemetary, a navy blue BMW Z4 drove up. Misty saw Karen climb out and run to Ash. "Oh no. Karen's back. Misty is going to kick...her...ass." said Melody with a worried look on her face. "Karen, thanks for coming. It really means a lot to me." said Misty with a smile on her face. "I didn't come for you. I knew Ash would be here." "What?" said Misty now with a scowl on her face. "Yeah, I didn't come to pay respects to that terrorist. She died because of who she was, and I hope the same happens to you." she taunted. Misty stood in shock. She turned around and walked to the Ford GT40. She sat in the car and than slowly drove off. "I can't believe what you just said. Misty was right. Everyone was right. You are a filthy, dirty, disgusting, brutal, bottom feeding, trash bag, ho." Ash said as he walked to the casket quickly. He laid the flowers down. "Sorry Jade. We appreciate what you did." Ash turned around and walked towards his car. "Mr. Ketchum? Where do you think you're going?" "I'm going after Misty." said Ash as he continued to walk to his car. "No. You aren't going. She needs to talk to someone that cares for her." "I do care for her, that's why I'm going. Look you didn't hear what Karen said to her. She said Jade deserved to die and so does Misty. She needs to hear that she isn't going to or deserves to die." "You're right, Mr. Ketchum. But I think the better thing to tell her is why she really needs to fight Matrix, and get her to realize she can beat him." ________________________________________________________________ _____________________________________________ The rain was pouring even worse now. The roads were covered with a good inch of water. They were becoming dangerously slick. If any car was driving at this time they would for sure lose grip and crash, but not Misty. She was driving Jade's Ford GT40, which had excellent grip and Jade even modified it. It drove through the water like nothing. Now it was dark. A star in the sky could not be spotted for as far as the eye could see. The only light that lit up the road besides the cars headlights was the striking of lightning. Thunder that even Misty could hear over the Ford's engine rumbled the earth. Rain water on the road was being shot over ten feet in the air as Misty drove over it at 160mph, for she was used to this kind of driving, it was what Matrix had taught her to control. At last she reached her destination. She arrived in an old and dark graveyard. It was completely vacant by the living. She drove under the entrance gate, which stood ten feet high with the name of the graveyard. She followed the winding trail of the cemetery, passing by dozens of rows of tombstones and statues. She drove across two bridges that had been submerged by two inches of water. She drove up to large hills and circled the main hill three times. Alas she found what she was looking for. She stopped the car underneath a tall and dead oak tree. She opened the door and slowly walked out, not even caring that within a second she was dripping drench. She closed the door behind her and walked slowly down a muddy and submerged path. Her boots were filled with muddy water and her jacket was being dragged through the puddles. Her hair that was in a ponytail was now hanging partially out. The makeup she had on was now off like she wore none in the first place. She stopped at a long row of tombstones. She started walking through the row, looking at each one as she walked by. Reading many names, she finally read the one she was looking for 'Here Lies Robert Waterman: Gone But Never Forgotten' Misty stepped up to it and kneeled down to it. He knees were sunk three inches in the mud, but she didn't care. "Daddy, I'm sorry I hadn't come to see you. I miss you daddy, more than anyone. I wish you were still here; I could really use your help and advice. I wish you would protect me like you used to. Daddy I'm in a lot of trouble. Once you died, a man took me and trained me to be a terrorist. He dumped me for me to be arrested. He's now killed my best friend. He completely ruined my life. I wish I knew what to do." she said as she sat cross- legged next to the tombstone. "You do know what to do Misty." said a voice from behind her. She quickly turned around. "Richard, what are you doing here? How did you know I would be here?" "Well, you see Misty, I knew you would be here, because I heard what Ms. Ross said. And I know that you are here to pay your respects to a great man. That's the same reason I'm here." "What do you mean." "I mean I'm here to honor Agent Waterman. "Agent?" "Oh yes, and a hell of a good one if you ask me." "My dad was a spy?" "Oh yes, I was to a time. But then my father passed away, I became the new chief. Your father was at a time my partner, and one I wouldn't trade for the world. He was even a great agent to have on my team. He really was a great man." "Is that why you un-handcuffed me??" "Oh yes, I knew you Misty. I remember Robert bringing you in as soon as you were born. As a matter of fact, I gave him the idea for your name. Your parents wanted you to be named Brenda. But I told them that your eyes looked like mist, so they called you Misty. I used to watch you when your father was on a mission. Everyone at the agency knew you, but of course they wouldn't remember you now unless I told them who you were. But I always took care of you since your mother had passed away a year after you were born. Very sad, but your mother was a beautiful woman, on the inside as well as on the outside. She lived near that Kanto or where ever. Your father had a mission around there and that's how he met her. They had you and you spent most of your time there with your sisters who took control of your mother's gym. Than you met Ash, I didn't see you since. I never saw my godchild." "I'm your godchild?" "Yes, yes you are. But not just that. You see since your father and I were such good friends, I promised him that if anything happened to him on a mission, that I would adopt you as my daughter. And Matrix killed him as the filthy coward he is." "Wait, Matrix killed my dad?" "Yes. You mean you never knew that?" "No, I thought he just took me." "He took you all right, after setting your father up as an awol spy who was now an undercover drug lord. He placed a pistol that fired via a remote. Matrix set him up. You see your father and Matrix were deadliest of enemies. They fought with each other like Jesus Christ and Satan. Your father had many fights with Matrix, many fights that almost killed him. Your father just could not kill Matrix and vice a versa. That's why he set him up. Had someone else kill him." "But why didn't my dad know it was Matrix, when he was set up?" "I know why. Your father noticed how much you were like him and your mother. He could see who you would become. He knew you would be flexible, able to do moves and dodge attacks with ease. He saw how much you were like him. He noticed how fast you learned things. And he noticed how you could hold your own. Now back to Matrix, he wanted to humiliate your family in front of the whole world and country. Show the government agencies how pathetic he was by killing him with such ease. I believe that your father knew that Matrix would take you, train you be a terrorist and to show the government agencies again what Agent Waterman's daughter became. But I believe that he went along with it to humiliate Matrix as a terrorist. He knew you would fight back and he knew you could take Matrix." "That's why my dad said those words to me before he died." "What words?" "He said, 'I'm sorry Misty, I failed you. Accept my mission and please forgive me for casting you with this burden.'" "Misty, he wanted you to kill Matrix." "But I can't." "Yes you can Misty, I know how you fight. Did you notice how no one tried to fight with Matrix when you were around? Because they were scared of you. You can shoot, you can drive, you can fight, and you can win." "I don't have what it takes to fight him." "Yes you do. You have Agents Spalding, Michaels, and you have Agent Ketchum who I've noticed you have a history even though now you're on uneasy terms. But even with a team of six you can take him out. Do it for your father and for Jade. Become who you were trained to be. Don't be a terrorist, don't be a spy, but be a fighter!"
