Chapter 5:Gym battle part 2

The Onyx lunged with anger towards Riolu, but Riolu  jumped out of the way. 
Then Onyx lashed its tail in a split second and Riolu was unconscious. "Go 
Eevee! Use bite!". Eevee than came out of the pokeball in the usual flashing 
white light, and charged at the Onyx bearing it fangs. Onyx easily knocked 
out Eevee with a head butt. I  cringed. All I had was Charmander, but I had 
to make due. "Go Charmander! Use  ember!". As Charmander came out of the 
pokeball he spewed white hot embers. As the embers hit the giant rock beast, 
it screamed and groaned in pain. The cries of  pain stopped as the Onyx 
lashed back with its tail. "Onyx, rock slide!" the burly gym leader finally 
yelled. Onyx moved it's body to the ceiling and head butt the ceiling over 
Charmander's head. About as soon as onyx head butt the ceiling, boulders fell 
from the ceiling, about to fall on Charmander. "Charmander! Quick, dodge!" I 
yelled. It was too late. After yelling my command, Charmander was already 
buried in boulders. ".....................". Everything was silent. Than Jack 
broke the silence saying, "Well, that's a bit of bad luck. Why don't you try 
next............ What the?......." Everyone started staring at the pile of 
boulders. It glowed with a beautiful white light, then is stopped. Everything 
was still. Then out of the boulders came a red lizard as it screamed a battle 
cry of "Chaaaaaarmmmmeelleeon!!!". It took me a while to follow along, then I 
broke out a command. "Charmeleon! Use METAL CLAW!". Charmeleon' claws began 
to glow a steely color, then slashed through Onyx leaving a huge gap out of 
one of the boulders connected to it's body. As Charmeleon landed, there was a 
deafening silence. The Onyx finally made a shallow groan, and fell to the 
ground causing it to shake. Gym leader Jack finally walked out to me handing 
me a shiny badge. "Here is your badge. Thank you for the wonderful battle." . 
I looked up at him and said thank you. Then I went to the spectator bench to 
watch my friends battle. In the end, both of them got their badges. We all 
then went back to the pokemon center, to book in for the night. When they 
woke up the next day they had the breakfast special of bacon and eggs. As 
soon as we grabbed our food, we sat down at a vacant table close by. After 
eating our bacon and eggs, we talked our plans. "I think we should go to 
Black Leaf Town next. That's where the closest gym is. Plus, I need a grass 
or bug type pokemon." I said. "Ok, I'll go there for the gym, but after we 
beat it were leaving." Said Gavin. "I agree" Kristy replies. As they prepared 
for the trip, I sent out my pokemon so I could talk to them. In the flashes 
of white light, came out my pokemon. Eevee was looking around the room to see 
where it was seemingly confused, Riolu only looked up at me and screamed 
"Daddy!" in delight, and Charmeleon had seemingly matured after his evolution 
just stared at me expectantly. I began to talk about Charmeleon's evolution 
with him, but all that had happened was a maturing and no personality change. 
Then I talked to Eevee. "Hello" I said looking at Eevee. "Hi...are you my 
trainer" Eevee asked with a worried look. "Um...Yeah". Eevee's questioning 
frown turned into a smile. "Thank you...I thought I would never be picked." . 
I smiled and returned everyone to their pokeballs, since my friends were 
back. We once again started on our journey.
