Prologue "This road goes into a place called Sable Town." Said James, reading a sign. "Sable Town?!" said Jessie looking a bit worried. "Yes. What's wrong with you, Jessie? You seem upset." "Um, no...I'm just fine, really..." Jessie looked away. If he got to look at her eyes, then he could just tell what was wrong. Too late. He stared deep into her eyes for a moment, then spoke. " You don't want to come here, do you?" "Umm...I...let's just go." Usually she could just yell at him and get whatever she wanted. For some reason, she just couldn't bring herself to do it this time. She followed him up the path. Chapter 1: Huh? Ash, Misty and Brock walked into a restaurant. "I'm really hungry. I feel like I haven't eaten in a week." said Ash. "Close." said Brock. "I can't wait to eat!!" said Misty. Brock looked a little preoccupied. He was looking over at a middle-aged couple sitting at a table drinking coffee. "What's wrong, Brock?" said Ash. "It's just....that couple. They look like Jessie." "Do you think there's a connection?" said Misty. "I don't know. I can't make assumptions. But they almost look like.....no..." "What?" said Ash. "They almost look like they could be Jessie's parents." It was true. The woman had dark red hair pulled up into a bun and pale skin. The man had navy blue hair and sapphire blue eyes. Jessie and James looked at the couple. They were working as waiters in that restaurant. Jessie's eyes went wide. She picked up a menu and hid her face. "What's wrong?" said James. "Nothing." She blushed. "Hey, look at those old people over there. They look like you!" James smiled, mildly amused. Her eyes sparked flames. "Shut up!! They might see me!" "So?" "They're my parents. I ran away from home when I was little. I vowed to never come back until I was over 18. I'm only 17 right now, so I'm still legally a kid. I can't let them know I'm here, or they'll force me to go home for another year." "So what? Stand up to them!" Meanwhile, the old couple was watching this blue haired kid talk to a girl with her face hidden behind a menu. They saw this huge red hair sticking out, though. "Do you think it could be Her?" said the woman. "Who?" "Our daughter, Jessica." The woman had tears in her eyes when she remembered waking up and not being able to find little Jess. "Maybe we should go see." They got up and started walking toward her. James saw them coming. "Jessie, they're coming toward us!!" "Oh no!" She ran out of the store, leaving a trail of smoke. James and Meowth ran after her. They ran and ran for a while. Suddenly Jessie tripped. James helped her up. She looked around at where she was and gasped. "Oh my god..." "What, Jessie?" said James. "This house..." "What?" "It's...it's mine!" "Huh?" He looked at the house. It was medium-sized, modest. "You should at least go in and say hi. It's your own parents we're talking about here, not like Team Brat or something." said James. "Well..." She stared into his emerald green eyes. He was right. Deep down, there were only three things she truly loved. Her family, her pokemon, and....well, another certain someone, but she could never admit it. She heaved a deep sigh, and knocked on the door. It opened. The red haired woman opened the door. "Hello?" "Hi....I..." "Jessica?" "Yes, Mom....it's me." They embraced each other in a warm hug. "Don't just stand there, come in, come in!" "Let's go, James!" Jessie, James and Meowth walked in. They all sat in the living room. "Oh, Jess, we have so much catching up to do! Tell me what you did with your life, and who's that guy? And-" "Whoa, Mom! Slow down!" Her mom smiled. "I'm just so happy you came back. Honey!!" she yelled up the stairs. "Come here! Jessica's back!" "Jessie shuddered. "Please, Mom. Call me Jessie." "Jessie? Who came up with that name?" "Him." She motioned to James. "Who's he?" "He's James." Jessie's father came down the steps. "Jessica! I'm so glad to see that you're home!!" "Daddy!" She hugged her father. James gasped. He sounded just like him, only deeper! Suddenly loud dance music came blasting out from upstairs.. "What's that?" said Jessie. "It must be that Jake kid again." The happiness faded out of Jessie's face. She narrowed her eyes. "Jake. He's the reason I ran away." She closed her eyes. She could still hear her own high pitched screams. "If he's here, then I can't stay. Goodbye....again." She got up and slowly walked away. "Jessie....wait!!!" said James. "I have to leave." She ran out the door with James and Meowth. She ran as fast as she could. James and Meowth finally found her in the middle of the woods. "Jessie, please. Come back. Your family really loves you." said James. "I can't if--if Jake is there." She answered. "Who's Jake?" Jessie sighed. He was going to find out, sooner or later. "It's time to tell you about a chapter of my life I hoped would be closed forever. Jake is an orphan who moved in with us. I found him absolutely crass. He obviously didn't know that, for he tried to put the moves on me multiple times. He didn't leave me alone, so I was forced to run away." James had tears in his eyes. He knew how that felt because of Jessiebell. " Hey, Jessie, where ya been, doll?" She turned around. "Jake!" James jumped back. "Aah! He looks exactly like me!!" Jake had emerald green eyes was a little taller than Jessie. His bluish-purple hair was jagged and ended above his ears. A strand hung down in front of his face. He had a slight Boston accent, unlike James's British accent. "So, uh, Jess...who's da fruit?" James narrowed his eyes. His muscles tensed. "Jake, go away." Said Jessie. She kneeled down and lowered her head. Jake grabbed the back of her shirt and pulled her up. He put her back to a tree and started moving closer to her. "C'mon, baby. Kiss me." James became enraged. He looked at Jessie and pointed to his knee. Jessie nodded and brought her knee up to Jake's crotch and kneed him hard. He winced in pain. She ran to James and hugged him. "Oh, James, thank you, thank you, thank you!" "Look, he's getting up!" Jake slapped Jessie across the face. James got really angry. He stared daggers at Jake. "You can tease her. You can annoy her. You can even raise your voice if you have to. But physical abuse is where I draw the line." And, without warning, James punched him in the face. Jake got a black eye. "Oh, so that's the way you like it! Bring it on, Beefeater!!!" The lookalikes fought until James won. "Come on. Let's go." Said James. He was all banged up. They all sat around the campfire. Jessie leaned against him. (Flashback) "No, Jake!! Leave me alone and just buzz off!!" " If you'll go out with me tonight!!" "No, no a million times, no! A billion times NOOO!!" "C'mon, I'll show you a good time!!" "Just go away!" Little Jessie ran and ran blindly. She suddenly bashed into James. His emerald eyes stared into my sapphire eyes. "Um, hello," he said softly. "Would you mind getting off of me! Huh? Jake??" "Oh, ok." He did so, then stared at me in disbelief. "J-Jessiebell?" "Me? No. My name is Jessie, It's short for Jessica." "My name is James." "What are you doing out here, anyway, kid?" "I'm running away from this girl, Jessiebell." "I'm running away from this guy, Jake." A Meowth peeked out from behind Jessie. "Aah! What's that?" said James "Grooowwwlithe?!!" "This is just my Meowth." "Oh.." We talked for a while, then decided on joining some sort of gang to survive. Then we met Tyra and her gang. "What'cha doin' out this late, kids?" said Tyra. "Running away," I said. "Ya know, we could use some new guys in our group. How about joinin' up with us?" "Sure!" "Him too?" James looked at me, then her. "Why not?" James kneeled down beside Growly. "Growly, You go back home now. You'd be better off there." "Growl--" "Growly, please---just go. It's for the best." Growly turned around and started back home. Suddenly, two shadowy figures dropped to the ground from nowhere. They snatched Jessie's Meowth and took off. The only thing she saw was two red "R"'s. "Meowth! No!! Stop thieves!" (fades) "And when we came to join Team Rocket, there you were. With the ability of human speech." Said Jessie, with tears in her eyes. "Wow. It was even rougher for you than it was for me. I should be happy to go back." "Don't say that. I wouldn't go to Jessiebell if someone paid me." "Easy for you to say. You're a girl. She'd treat you differently. Hey, wait a minute!!" "What?" "I'll dress in drag and tell her that James died! Haha! She'll leave me alone forever, and feel really guilty about the way she treated me!!" They started off to his mansion and arrived there the next morning. Chapter 2: The Plan There was a knock on the door. Jessiebell answered it. She found a blonde woman and a green haired woman, both in black dresses. "Yes? May I help you?" The blonde woman in the black dress opened her eyes. "Jessiebell?" "Yes?" "I'm afraid I have some bad news. Your fiance is.....deceased." "Is this some kind of prank?" Damn it!!! thought James. She's smarter than she looks!! Jessiebell looked at the green haired woman. "Aah! It's you!!" They both ripped the disguises off. "It's useless. She won't fall for anything." said Jessie. "Yea, let's go." said James. He suddenly got an idea. "Hey! I wonder if.." He ran up the steps. Jessie and Meowth followed. James opened a door. A messy room was revealed. "My old room! Just as I left it." "Hey! What's this?" said Meowth, picking up a notebook off of the bed. James dove for it. "Hey!! Give that back, you little furball!" Meowth tossed it to Jessie. They started playing keep-away. "Grrrr.....Meowth!!! You're asking for a flame-broiled ass!! Growl--" Growly came into the room and jumped up on James. He started licking his face. "Ow!! Ok, Growly, get off!" He hugged Growly. "Ok, Growly! Flamethrower!!" Growly charred up Meowth good. "Hey, James!!!" "Huh? James looked over at Jessie. She had the notebook!! He dove at her. She turned away and opened it. "Huh? Poetry!!" Meowth looked over. "Playboy drawings!" James snatched the notebook away. "Wow, James, I never knew that you were such an...artist." James blushed. He looked into her eyes. "Jessie, I've been meaning to ask you this, but would you like to go out with me tonight, you know, just the two of us?" "Mee-oww!!!" said Meowth. "Ok, now!! Kick the kitty!!!" said James, lunging toward him. "Don't kick the kitty! No!! Meowth!!!" said Meowth, moving back. "Kick the kitty!! Ha ha!!" He drop kicked Meowth out of the house and blasted him off. He sat back on the bed with Jessie. "Now how about that date?" "Sure. I'd love to!" "Great." And they sealed it with a kiss. The End???
