Chapter 2-The Tree Stump
After an extremely long discussion they all settled on not telling 
anyone.Mitch on the other hand couldn`t bear the thought of being a 
hybrid."You don`t even remember being one?"May asked again for the hundreth 
time."No I can`t remember a thing!"May sighed."It was only a year 
ago!"RIIINNNNNNGGGGGG!
Soon everyone poured in the computer lab and things got back to normal."Next 
recess meet me at the tree stump in the corner of the schoolyard.You can`t 
miss it!"Selina whispered to Mitch.Mitch nodded and ran into the hallway.

Mitch pulled out a lined piece of paper from his desk.He scribled a few 
drawings on it then flipped the page over and began writing a story.After 
the first 3 sentences he erased them and wrote a list of topics for his 
speech.He wrote the top 10 speech ideas.He thought a bit the crossed some 
off,then some more,then some more then he finally had 2 ideas left.He made 
his decision quickly and got a new paper out.He chose a topic on pokemon 
human hybridism.That is a lot more interesting than a speech on a boaring 
pokemon everyone already new about.Plus writing a topic on what he wanted to 
know more about wasn`t so boaring to write.He soon wrote his tittle down and 
began writing:
My Speech
You`ve heard of pokemon and you have heard of man,have you ever heard of a 
mixture of the 2?
Mitch thought a moment then crumpled up his paper.He couldn`t think 
straight.All he could think about was being a hybrid.He wanted to scream.He 
got up from his desk and threw his paper away.When he got back to his desk 
he took a pokeball from he belt and released the pokemon inside it.(Since 
there was only 2 other people in the classroom)He dropped the pokeball on 
the ground.When it bounced back up it opened and a red light shot out of 
it.Soon when the red light disapeared a small green pokemon 
emerged."Larvitar!"It cried.Mitch picked up the Larvitar and let it sit in 
his lap.The other 2 kids there did the same thing."Go Butterfree!"A girl 
shouted and threw a pokeball.A butterfly-like pokemon emerged."Go Minun!"A 
boy shouted and set out his pokemon."Minun!"It said.A few secounds later 
Selina and May walked in the room and they called out there pokemon 
too.Selina`s pokemon,Dragonair was quite large so it had to coil itself 
around the teachers desk.May had an espeon and it layed down by her 
desk.Mitch`s Larvitar jumped down from his lap and went over to Dragonair 
and sat on its snake-like body.Everyone sat in the classroom as board as 
ever watching the clock waiting for the day to end...

It was recess again and Mitch and his Larvitar went out to find the tree 
stump Selina told them to meet her by.Mitch scanned the schoolyard looking 
for the stump.There was one,a huge one the size of 2 schoolbuses.Mitch 
imagined how big the tree must have been.Mitch ran over to the gigantic tree 
stump.Most stumps are up to your waist,but this one was over 10 feet tall!He 
didn`t see Selina anywhere,she must have been behind it."Hey Mitch!"Selina 
whispered from the side of the stump."We`re not allowed over here so we have 
to hurry.Come on!Behind the stump!"Mitch,Selina and Larvitar crept behind 
the stump.Behind the stump was a large hole.Selina motioned to follow her 
down through the hole.Mitch waited until she disapeared into the darkness 
then picked up Larvitar and followed Selina into the hole.It was dark and 
damp inside the stump.Mitch couldn`t see a thing.Selina took a flashlight 
out and turned it on.She pointed it at the ceiling and found a basket 
hanging  from it.She put the flashlight in it facing downwards and that made 
the"room"get filled with light.There was nothing really in the stump.Except 
the basket and a wooden plate with a handle on the back the size of a 
garbage pale lid.There was 2 other smaller holes the size the wooden plate 
would perfectly fit in.(Garbage can lid)They both were probably leading to 
other"rooms".One of them was blocked by a rock.Mitch heard someone 
outside."Through the other hole!Quick!"Selina whispered then ran to the 
flashlight and turned it off. "Hurry!"
Selina then ran to the hole that wasn`t blocked."You first!"Mitch and his 
Larvitar climbed in the small hole.Selina grabbed the plate and climbed in 
the hole with them.The plate perfectly fit the hole."This is why I never get 
caught."She whispered to them."Move over!I have no room!"Selina 
whispered.Mitch moved over until he reached a wall.The space was cramped,The 
size of a couch.It was round but had lots of bumps and indents in it.You 
could get a sliver easy.They heard the what Selina called them the nosey 
good for nothings climb in the stump and search the place for anyone 
there.They really were the teachers that are out at recess looking for kids 
that don`t obey the rules.The teacher was knocking on the walls,looking for 
a hollow spot."What do we do now!?"Mitch whispered.Take out all of your 
small pokemon and try to fill in all the space."Selina replied.Mitch only 
had one other pokemon,Elekid so he set it out.Him,Larvitar and Elekid took 
up about half the space.Selina sent out her Growlithe.(Dragonair is way too 
big)They took up most of the space but there was a small space between 
Selina and Mitch.They thought it didn`t matter.Soon the teacher got to where 
they were and knocked on it.Everyone was dead silent.Then the teacher 
knocked on it again.They could tell she knew it was hollow.Then the teacher 
knoked really hard and it felt like she would break the plate.This continued 
for about 5 minutes then the teacher finally left.They returned their 
pokemon and climbed out."That was close!"Selina exclaimed."And why did you 
tell me to come here?"Mitch asked."I almost forgot!"Selina replied.She 
turned her flashlight on and searched the wall for something.Soon she found 
a small hole as big as a lid of a water bottle .She stuck her fingers in it 
and pulled out a strong looking stick.She went over to the hole and used the 
stick to pry the rock out of the way.The rock landed on the ground with a 
loud boom."You first!"She told him.Mitch climbed in the small tunnel.When 
Mitch looked back to see if Selina was coming the tunnel was already plugged 
by the increadibly heavy rock and Selina was nowhere to be seen...
