Today is the only day that the Pokemon Fair is
coming to Needle Leaf.  Troy, a 14-year-old boy and his
brother, Roger, who is a year older are both preparing
for the big day.  Why?  Because their Uncle Humil is the
Chairman of the fair this year, and he promised every-
thing to them, free of charge!
"Mom, we are leaving now!" yelled Troy as he
walks out the door with Roger.  "Wait!  You need to take
these with you.  It's something special, don't open it
until you speak to Humil," replied their mom.
"Wonder what's inside that bag?  Bet ya it's some
kind of special Pokemon stuff," said Roger as they
walked to the fairgrounds.  "I'm not sure, but I can't
wait to see all the Pokemon!  I mean think about it, we
might even get one.  But I doubt it, Uncle Humel
wouldn’t give us his Numie," stated Troy.
As they approach gate of the Pokemon Fair, a very
large man in a tuxedo was yelling, "Come one, come all,
to the greatest fair in Hoenn.  Welcome to the only
place you can find Pokemon of all varieties and types."
While walking through the gate, Troy notices a large man
surrounded by a group of people.  Roger points to the
crowd and says, "Do you think that is Uncle Humel?"
"Boys, come here!" hollered the man, "Friends,
these are my nephews, Roger and Troy.  Boys, you remember
Numie right?"  Numie, a Pokemon didn't hesitate to rush
up to Roger, who obviously was his favorite of the two
boys.  "Is that bag for me?  Let me guess your mom
didn't want you to open it huh?  Hand it here," asked
Uncle Humel.  Numie instantly jumped at the bag, and
ripped it open, it was a box with a black pokeball and a
paper.
"What is it Humel?  Is there a Pokemon inside?"
asked Troy.  "What does the paper say?  Come on, open it
up."  Uncle Humel looked over the paper and  Roger
picked up the pokeball.  There seemed to be a few
button-like dots on it.  "The paper gives instructions
for the ball.  Hand me the ball Roger," said Humel.
After Uncle Humel finished the instructions for
the ball, the ball grew to the throwing size.  So Troy
got the ball and threw it, unexpectedly a very rare
Pokemon came out.  "It's an Absol!" said Roger in a
surprised tone.  "It's Abby!  My dear long lost Abby,"
shrieked an onlooker.  "But how do you know?" asked
Troy.
"You boys who brought it, come here!  Follow me!
I need to reward you, hurry!" instructed the onlooker.
This strange woman led the two boys to a stand which had
a large sign that said,  "Pokemon Breeder, Best of the
Best Babies."  "What is it that you want us for?  What
is this place?" asked Roger.  "This is my Pokemon
Breeding stand.  I stay here and show off my best breeds
to anyone who is interested.  But right now I'm giving
you a pokemon, or two, for what you have so kindly
done," explained the stand owner.
There seemed to be eight pokeballs that all
seemed amazingly different.  One was fiery red, while
another was green, and a blue one as well.  There also
happend to be one that was pure white, as well as one
with an odd eye on it, another ball also had a fist.
"What are all these different balls?" asked Troy.
"Like I said, they are my best breeds." the stall owner
answered.  "What are those two there?" Roger asked as he
pointed to a few balls in the back.
"The yellow one has a very well bred Electrike,
the silver one has a Beldum, with special egg-inherited
abilities." stated the owner, "The green one has a
Cacnea, the red; a Torchic, and the blue one has an
Azurill," said the owner, "Oh, and the one with an eye
has a Ralts, the one with a fist painted on has a
Makuhita, and the white has a Whismur.  Let me
remind you they are all very well bred Pokemon."  The
balls were all placed neatly on trophy stands and had
their own spotlights on each of them.
"So what do want us to do, do we get some?"
asked Troy with a confused sort of tone, "Just imagine
us, getting the worlds best bred Pokemon for a starter!"
"Sorry, I forgot to say, I want you to both have two for
what you have done.  You can have any," reminded the
stall worker.  "I know what I want!  I want the Spoink
and Cacnea.  Those would be so great to work with!"
exclaimed Roger.
The owner of the breeding stall gave Roger the
two pokeballs, which Roger immediatly threw and the two
young Pokemon popped out.  "Cacnea!", "Maku, Hita!" both
of the cried the Pokemon as they hopped out of the balls.
"So what do you want Troy?  Still four six more
to choose from," said the owner, trying to urge Troy to
quickly choose.  The pressure was visible in Troy's
eyes, everyone was wanting him to quickly choose so they
could all see the great babies.
"I want to get Whismur.  But... I'm not sure of
the second though.  How's Torchic Sound?" said Troy.  As
soon as he said the names of the two, the lady grabbed
the balls and handed to Troy, who immidiatly threw them
and leaped out a shy little Whismur and a happy Torchic.
"I hope you two are pleased in your choices.  Are you
guys going to do any traveling?  Those will help you."
said the owner of the stall.
"You boys should think about the whole of Hoenn,
rather then little old Needle Leaf Town.  You could even
earn some badges and catch more Pokemon," said Uncle
Humel.  Troy and Roger Called back their Pokemon and
walked over to the public battle area.  They new they
were going to be starting some very big adventure.
