Suprising Situations

I stirred in his sleep, I sprang up in a cold sweat, eyes wide, and blankets askew. I ran to my computer, my latest project still up I exited out of it without saving it. I brought up a clock and looked at it, six forty five anti-meridian (A.M.) it was ok to call... *************************************************************************************

"Hurry up, Jodee!" yelled a ruff looking male, Jodee was typing up a storm hacking into the security system on top of the pride and joy of Talinaca Island: Professor Maple's Pokémon Laboratory. "I'm going as fast as Team Rocket's best hacker for a century can, Joe" She continued typing then hooked a cable to her laptop then a key code combination lock. She typed for 33 seconds and the lock cackled and sizzled and the door opened. They walked through the door and emerged on a sky walk.

Joe put his hand in his pocket and pulled out a silver ball, he threw it over the rail and it landed and exploded open. A strange gas filled the room, visible through the gas were trip wires, and also the ground was glowing red meaning heat sensors. "We'll need Wurmple for this, I Choose You!" He grabbed a ball from his belt, it was ping-pong sized and red and white. He pressed a button and it grew to fit his palm, he threw it. The ball hit the floor with a clatter and opened out came a huge flare of white light, it formed into a small worm. When the light subsided a red and white worm with horn feet and a yellow horn stood standing high.

"Wurmple use String Shot and propel down the side, then grab those Pokéballs." Wurmple shot a bunch of string towards the ceiling. He started propelling to the Pokéballs, he landed on the huge pedestal carrying fifteen Pokéballs. He threw one of the balls in the air and blasted a string shot at it. It was propelled to Joe and Jodee, Jodee caught it. Wurmple did it again only Joe caught it, he threw the third one only missed the string shot, it fell onto a trip wire and it sounded an alarm. "Good going you lousy worm, return," Joe said holding out the Pokéball and a red light hit Wurmple and he was sucked back into the ball. He minimized it to the ping-pong ball and he stuck it on his belt. Joe and Jodee ran out of the door just as a familiar face ran in.

"Halt, your under arrest... huh no ones here," Officer Jenny said as her Growlithe barked...

I dialed the number in a hurried fashion, Professor Maple appeared fully dressed. "Professor I just had a dream that someone robbed the Laboratory," I said out of breath. "Yes I'm afraid it has Soni, and you and Legend's Pokémon has been stolen." My heart sank, 5 minutes ago I was so exited to get my Pokémon and now it was gone. "So, no Pokémon." I felt tears swell up in my eyes, "Actually you do I gave a call to Professor Pine and she told me to send you two over pronto.

I sighed, "Thank you!" My heart sped up some and my organs were doing a happy dance. Come over to my lab I have a gift for both you and Legend, Soni, I'll see you in..." he checked his watch, "An hour and a half." He hung up, 'No sense going back to sleep,' I walked out of my room holding a towel, I walked into the bathroom and took a shower. I went back into my room and pulled on my usual clothes: An electric blue shirt with white lightning bolts across it, a black vest when on the right side was room for six Pokéballs, on the left side was room for ten badges. Which is how many you need to compete in the Atlanta League, which is in the Atlanta Archipelago. Anyways, also baggy, black, cargo jeans, and a pair of black and blue "Vans". I grabbed my backpack which had one of every kind of Pokéball, and walked towards the stairs.

I went downstairs and made a piece of toast and Redwood, my mothers Arcanine begged for apiece to. So I ended up making twelve more pieces, then to top it off Daisy, my fathers Mightyena wanted some so he finished off the pack of bread. I left a note for my family not wanting to stay for the reaction of the fact that there was no bread left. It was a thirty-five minute walk to the professor's lab so I started there. I had forty-five minutes left so I walked slowly. When I arrived I had fifteen minutes left but I knocked anyway, Professor Maple who was in his late twenties was wearing dress pants and a white lab coat. "Ah Soni you have arrived early," he said surprised, "Well yes I wanted an early start."

He invited me in and I sat on his couch, he left and returned with a blue and white ball the white being the top had a sapphire encrusted on it. "This is your gift." I took it, "This isn't a Pokémon is it?" He nodded, "Although it's for traveling only, he will not battle until I tell him too." I asked if I could release it and he nodded, I stood up, "Okay, Pokémon Go!" I threw the ball it hit the floor and burst open and out came a dark green and white shark that hovered off the ground and had a yellow star. He went to Maple and the professor muttered something in his ear. He went over to me and nodded, "Nice to meet you Sharpedo." The professor cleared his throat, "Here take this and wait at the dock for Legend you will travel to Elernite Island Together." He handed me a black Pokédex, I thanked him and left.

I walked for fifteen minutes, "Sharp, Shar, Sharpedo," he said obviously he was bored. Sharpedo was by my side, he was my size. "Let's try this out," I said pointing the Pokédex at Sharpedo.

"[#098] Sharpedo, the Terminator Shark, Sharpedo is a shark that rips apart its enemies. It mostly lives in the water but some prefer land. They stalk the water with their Carvanha cubs, some find pleasure in hurting other Pokémon, but others are quite peaceful. Since this Pokémon is part of your team you may view the attacks by pressing the attack button."

"Since I can't battle with you I don't need to see your attacks. Well okay, I'll call you out when were ready to leave," I said, "Return." I held out the Saphball and returned Sharpedo to it, I clipped it in the second Pokéball holder on my vest. I met a few trainers who were on their way to Elernite Island for the first badge. Finally Legend came and we started talking, "Finally, I've been waiting for a half-hour." He chuckled, "Let's get going I'm anxious to get my Pokémon." I took out the Saphball, "Sharpedo, GO!" I yelled throwing the ball into the water it sunk to the bottom before the hinges sprung apart and Sharpedo emerged from the ball. The ball returned to my hand, I minimized it and clipped it back to my vest.

He came to the surface and I hopped on, "Cool Sharpedo, look at mine," Legend said taking a Saphball off of his belt and threw it into the water out came a blue giant jellyfish with a lot of cables on the bottom and two red eyes. "Neat," I said taking out my Pokédex,

"[#067] Tentacruel, the Poison Jellyfish, Tentacruel roams the waters and stalks fish such as Magikarp, Carvanha, Barboach, and Luvdisks. They mostly stick with their own species and their Tentacool cubs. You cannot find many wild Tentacruels but you can find Tentacools in almost any water. Since this Pokémon is not yours you cannot view his attacks."

He hopped on and we set off for Elernite Island. Hours rolled by as we traveled discussing what type of Pokémon we wanted. Finally, Elernite Island came into view, when we landed we recalled are water Poképals and clipped them in their places. We walked threw the beach we stopped a few crab Pokémon. I took out my Pokédex,

"[#129] Corpish, the Crab Pokémon, Corpish roam beaches in usually packs of twenty, you can find them on any beach on the Atlanta Archipelago. They are not the strongest Pokémon so they're easy to capture, this Pokémon is good for Beginning Trainers. Since this is not your Pokémon you cannot view its attacks."

"Man I wish I could catch one," I said, "Later, Let's get our Pokémon first," Legend said. We continued onto the grass and then onto a street and then we saw it, a giant top half of a Pokéball with the words, "Elernite Laboratory." We walked towards it, and took a deep breath. Then pushed open the door, we were in the lobby we walked up to the front desk and said, "Were is Professor Pine?" She smiled sweetly, "Fourth floor," We thanked her and walked to the stairs. On the first floor, there were a bunch of computers and guys typing, I walked over to one, "What are you doing?" He was startled and minimized something. On the taskbar was the word, 'Pinball'. "I'm simply compositing data for an evolution synthesizer to speed up the Pokémon's evolution."

"Right, well I'll let you get back to your game," I said loudly and all the other people turned their heads and looked at him, he blushed and muttered something. "Nice one man," Legend said as I came back. On the second floor there were little fires all over and then I realized that there were little orange lizards standing on its hind legs. I took out my pokedex,

"[#203] Charmander, the Fire Lizard, Charmander is a lizard that has a big bite and a powerful fire attack. There is a fire at the tip of his tail and if it ever goes out the Charmander will either die or be very injured. Charmander gets three times as strong when it evolves and even stronger in its final form. Since you do not own this Pokémon you cannot see his attacks."

Putting it away I accidentally pushed a button next to the Attacks button,

One Pokémon Owned, Four Pokémon Seen

The Charmander's then started shaking, they turned a dark red and grew, out of the back of his head a horn grew, when they stopped shaking they were double in size. "Brilliant, when the fire on the Charmander's tail grows to the size of a Charmeleon it evolves," yelled an assistant. But then the Charmeleon shrank back to a Charmander, "Shoot thought we had it, BACK TO WORK PEOPLE!" On the third floor the walls were completly covered in shelves, in the entire room there must have been five thousand Pokéballs of all kinds. On the fourth floor there were five tubes with Pokémon I had never seen before. Next to them Professor Pine and an assistant were taking notes.

"Professor were here for our Pokémon," Legend yelled, she walked over and said, "Ahhhhhhh Yes I remember come here." We walked to the third floor and she then told Legend to pick any Pokéball he likes. He grabbed a green on top white on bottom ball with a leaf on it. The professor moved onto me and said the same thing, I looked around the room was spinning. I closed my eyes and my senses pointed in one direction I moved closer to the wall and closer, closer until I fingered a ball...
