Chapter Three
Trip to Viridian Forest

The pokemon and its characters belong to Nintendo or whoever owns it...blah 
blab…but don’t steal my own characters of this story without asking me, StarNob 
first! Please review this!! (This is my first time writing and I will gladly 
accept your ideas to keep this story going...)


Summary of last chapter:
“Okay. Nidking meet Flash, Flash meets Nidking!” Both young pokemon stared at 
each other, each knowing that they may be a team, but they will always be rivals 
to win the love of Jakki.
 
	Jakki recalled Flash back in his pokeball, leaving out Nidking because she 
don’t have other pokeball to begin with. Prof Gray went over to the back of the 
lab to pick up what looks like a small waist pouch with different pockets and a 
red boxed object and returned to where Jakki was watching two young trainers 
trying out their first pokemon starters. One girl in yellow outfit of hat, 
shoes, socks, t-shirt and shorts was beating up blue-clad boy’s turtle pokemon, 
Squirtle, with her fire-lizard, Charmander. Jakki took out her sketch pad to 
quickly draw those two fighting. Prof Gray bended over her left shoulder, only 
to stare in amazement at results of Jakki’s work. The expression in the 
pokemon’s faces in the sketch was amazing to see. Jakki looked up just in time 
to see the fire-lizard finished it work with the weaken turtle. The sad boy 
withdraws his pokemon back in its pokeball.

“Charrr!” the fire pokemon jumps up and down in triumph as its trainer shook 
hand of defeated boy. Jakki went over to the young trainers with Nidking tagging 
behind. “Wow, is he your pokemon? May I pet him?” the younger asked older girl. 
Jakki nods her head in answer. Nidking chirped and whistled as the girl petted 
him. The boy begins to walk away but the girl stopped him. “Ben, come over here! 
This could be good for our Poke’Dex! Please?”  Ben sighed. “Okay whatever you 
say, Sara.”  Sara turned back petting the nidoran cheerfully as the boy wandered 
over to Jakki and Prof Gray. Gray handed Jakki a red device and the pack. “This 
one is the Poke’Dex designed for deaf kids like you. Push that blue button.” 
Jakki did what he said. The 3-D hologram of a person appears. “Hello my name is 
Diane and I will be your interrupter from now on.” 
Ben gasped at the strange appearance. “Wow this is new stuff! Wait… what does 
you meant by this is special?” Prof Gray replied,” this is a translator that can 
helps Jakki lot on her pokemon journey. It monitors her ASL signs and voices 
them out loud and it also reacts with her emotions same as we would have 
sounded.” Ben stared at the mini woman’s pose as the image revolves around in 
idle mode. Jakki puts the Poke’Dex down and begins to sign. “Hello! Sorry about 
Nidking hitting you shortly before…I hope you aren’t poisoned by his poison 
point ability. Oh, my name is Jakki Jewell.”  

	Prof Gray laughed. “Jakki, I am all right that’s because I wore those 
rubber boots all time since I was working with Flash. Nice to meet you, kiddio. 
How old are you?” Jakki replied quickly “I am old 15 years old.” The Poke’Dex 
translated her reply a beat behind her signs. Ben commented, “Wow, that’s pretty 
old to begin training pokemon. How come you don’t start earlier? You could have 
been at final gym by now!”  The girl, who was playing with her charmander and 
Nidking, bopped him in head. “Ben! It’s not that polite to ask that question! 
Sorry about Ben, Jakki. He always has been so observant and never thinks before 
he speaks!” Oh by way my name is Candy.” Candy puts out her hand forward. Jakki 
shook it,” No problem, my brother said same thing. He should be about at your 
age…he is beginning his journey next month.”  Candy laughed. “We both are 14 
years old. And we’ve known each other since we were born!”  This comment causes 
Ben to blushes. Jakki turned to Prof Gray, noticing this, asked,” Do I need 
anything more? I need to leave now.” Gray handed her a mini bag filled with 20 
empty pokeballs. “This is an item that you should use to catch the pokemon to 
add new information to your Poke’Dex. And this map too, it shows all routes that 
you need to take in the Kanto.” 

Jakki shook Prof Gray’s hand,”Thank you and see you later when I am done with my 
journey.”  The Poke’Dex chirped as Jakki signs her last words to Prof Gray. “Hey 
can we join you? It would be much more fun to go in groups! We can be Threesome 
Pokemon Trainers!!” Candy spoke from behind Jakki. Jakki nods her head. “Yay! 
Ben grab your pack, we are going with Jakki!!” Candy jumped up and down in 
excitement as her fire lizard hopped up on her trainer’s head, chirped, 
“Charr!!”

	
	Two hours later, the trio finds themselves at edge of the Viridian Forest 
but not before stopping at Viridian City to buy some more supplies from the 
Poke’mart. Candy let her Charmander out to stretch. Ben and Jakki followed the 
suit, letting their pokemon out too. ”What should we do now?” Jakki asked Candy, 
“Well, we can camp out here now or we can go in now to save time.” The girl 
replied. “Aha, I see…” Jakki mummers as she looks around the edge of the forest. 
 
The young pokemon scouted ahead of their trainers, taking in the new sights and 
smells of the wild. Flash, hence his name, darted around all over while chirping 
loudly much to disdain of Nidking. (This translate from pokemons’ language to 
English)

 “Wow!! Look! A bug! Ahhh…an ant! Isn’t this coolest or what?!” The electric 
mouse leaped from the ground into a tree where he could see his trainer coming 
down on the path with her new friends. 
Charmander replied lazily, “Yea. But you don’t have to be loud. Something or 
someone could hear you, spoiling the search of new pokemon.”
Squirtle agreed with her rival, “I agree with this lizard, you better quiet down 
bit. Or we wouldn’t make it through the forest safely.” 
Nidking nudged the mouse,”Look! Another pikachu! I think it’s a she…” Instantly, 
Flash leaped from the tree into the bushes, chasing what he had thought was a 
female pikachu…
“Hehehe that was good thinking, King.” Charmander told the poison rabbit. The 
rabbit chuckles, “It was so simple. Given to his small brain, he will focus on 
only one thing then next.”
The group continued bit….farther before the terrified mouse returned.
“Heellppppp meee!!!! I don’t do anything to themmmm!!” Poor mouse ran at top 
speed towards the group with huge Beedrills chasing after him.  
Jakki quickly ran to scoop up the mouse,” Candy! Tell your lizard to use ember!! 
NOW!!” She yelled as she dodged the sharp stinger from a beedrill. The swarm of 
bees was upon them!
“Charcoal, use EMBER NOWWW!!” Yelled the young girl as she grabbed her lizard to 
swing him around, causing a huge fire wall between the group and the angry 
bees…. 


Now what will happens on next chapter??? Will the group survive or be sting to 
death? Why are the bees chasing Flash?
