Dis: I don't own Pokemon. Just this fic and my charaters. { } This means somebody's thinking. *** ***This means it's in italics ****Jade Hearts**** By: StarrybluMew A/N: This is gonna get emotional. But trust me, I didn't cry when I wrote this and I really don't think you'll cry either. Also, this story is now gonna forever be in Ashley's P.O.V. but it's gonna be her P.O.V. in a certain part of the story. You know, not right away. The long hours in the lobby seemed like an eternity. To make it worse, there was an anouying ***ding-dong ding ding dong*** sound coming from the machine Debbie was using for the other trainers. Kyle had healed Shabrei since Ashley didn't seem to fit to do it. Kyle had also sild Shabrei's pokeball in Ashley's bacpack too! Ashley guessed that Kyle just felt guilty and that he was trying to make it up for what he did to Tommy. ***Ashley's P.O.V.*** {Oh, Tommy...} I thought as Kyle rubbed my back. A tear rolled down my cheek. I'd been crying for what? 2 hours now? What made it worse is that they were still working on Tommy in the emergency room. Kyle leaned up against his chair as he said, "Ash, your brother's gonna be just fine." I turned to face him. I wasn't mad at Kyle or anything, I just wished he hadn't had used Spike's pin missle on Tommy. "How....how do you know?" I wiped another tear from my eye. "Because..." "Because why?" I asked. "Spike used pin missle on Nugget before. Remember? I pulled them off?" I nodded. "I...I just wonder if...he'll be okay." I stared at the ground. {Maybe if everything goes well, Tommy will forgive me.} We sat in silence for what seemed like an hour until Kyle spoke up, his voice choked up. "At least you...have your brother..." I knew something was nagging at him, but I really didn't want to say anything. Besides, it's bad enough to have 1 person crying; the last thing I would want is 2. After awhile, I started worring about Kyle. He wouldn't look at me, or eat. He didn't have to ***go*** either. I had ***went*** like 5 frigg'n times now. It just seemed like Kyle was more depressed than I was. Flame had noticed it too! He looked up into his master's eyes, full of concern. Kyle just stared at the ground, totally ignoring his best friend. "Kyle," I asked in a low tone. "what's wrong?" Kyle turned to face me as he said, "I used to have a sister named Shelby. But...but then Veriden broke into my parent's house, he killed my parents. Veriden "adopted" me, but left Shelby behind. I don't even know if she's still alive....." I shouldn't have said anything. Now ***I*** was the one who felt guilty. But who in the world was Veriden? I wanted to ask Kyle that, but he seemed sad enough already. From what I heard, it sounded like that Veriden person and Kyle didn't have that good of a relationship. Then, the doors to the emergency room opened. A boy with brown, spiky hair with a white T-shirt and blue jeans on, was being rolled into the lobby by wheelchair. Nurse Tana, who rolled Tommy in, looked at me and smiled. She then walked back through the emergency doors. The boy just sat in his wheelchair, checking out his surroundings. He looked at me, and flashed me a smile. I instantly knew that that boy was my brother, even though I didn't recganize him. "Tommy!" I cried as I flung my arms around him, nearly tipping the wheelchair over. "Sissy..." Tommy whispered. "I was so worried about you," Tommy hugged me even tighter. "Why were you worried about me? I can take up for myeslf, you know." I asked. "Momma gave me this," Tommy held up a necklace. "She said she wants you to have it, Sissy." Tommy placed it around my neck. There was a charm on the necklace. I held it up to see what it was. The charm looked like a type of green berry. Weird. "Prof. Aspen said that that's connected to the Jade Heart." I flashed my own smile at Tommy as I said, "Clue number one. Thanks bro!" Tommy nodded. Then he glanced at my face and asked, "What happened to you? You've been cry'n?" I nodded. "Yeah. I was really worried about you, I thought that the pin missle might have killed you or something." Tommy smirked. "Heck, with my luck, I'm surprised I'm not in I.C.U." I giggled. Kyle stood up and walked over to where Tommy was seated in his wheelchair. "Uh hey, I just wanted to say....um, I'm sorry." Tommy placed his hands behind his head as he replied, "Oh, I'm okay. You don't have to say you're sorry or anything." Then, Tommy glanced at me, then back at Kyle. "Hey, who's he? Haha! I guess you've finally bagged yourself a boyfriend, huh Ashley?" Kyle's cheeks blushed a bright red. "He's not my boyfriend!" I protested. Tommy wagged his finger at me in a sly type of way. "Oh, wait until I tell Momma about this..." I flicked Tommy off. "Hey!" he yelled at me. Kyle chuckled as I said, "It's good to have ya back, bro."
