Mike: Ok, I hope you people understood what I said in the previous chapter. But I have to say something from one reviewer before I go on.

Helldragon: I may have Neo help Satoshi train, but never will I have them fight each other. Neo is the One and I will not change his destiny.

But I will say this, Satoshi will help Neo in a way and that’s what the Oracle will prophesize. Well I might’ve spoiled it saying that but you guys have got to understand, Satoshi, and everyone else in my story will not be fighting each other. They will be fighting machines and agents and nothing more. As I said before, Neo, Morpheus, and Trinity will make an appearance in my story. I might even have Link make an appearance along with the Nebuchadnezzar. But mark my words; I will not alter the storyline of “The Matrix Reloaded” or “The Matrix Revolutions”.

Chapter 4: The Training Begins

Satoshi looked up at the ceiling of his room in wonder. What would his training be like? Will it be hard? How will they train him? The answer to all his questions would be answered soon. But he kept wondering on how Slifer, Data, and Noble got out of the Matrix. Kasumi explained how she got out of the Matrix. He knew how he got out, but he wanted to know everyone else’s stories. But he knew they wouldn’t answer that to him willingly.

The thought crossed his mind as he was more worried about his training. He never got an ounce of sleep since he and Kasumi got off their watch for sentinels. He did try at least, but he couldn’t sleep a wink. When he was about to turn to his side and stare at the wall, he heard the squeak and groan of his door opening. He looked and saw Kasumi standing there looking at him with her smile that never leaves. She also looked at him with a guilty look, as if she woke him up.

“Hi, did I wake you?” She asked looking at him.

“No, couldn’t sleep.” He replied as he sat up from his cot of a bed.

“Well, Slifer ordered me to come get you and have Takeshi start your training.” She said while walking to him.

“Alright, we better get started then.” Satoshi said getting up and walking with her to the chairs are.

As he walked with her, he still couldn’t keep his eyes off her one bit. He did from time to time to see where he was going. When they arrived at where they go into the Matrix, and he saw Takeshi looking through the various disks of information. He then heard Kasumi and Satoshi coming in so he looked up and saw them. He smiled and got up.

“Well, ready to begin your training Satoshi?” He asked with a grin.

“Ready as I’ll ever be.” Satoshi sighed as he sat down in one of the chairs while Takeshi and Kasumi readied him in. She then placed the cable for the I/O hole on the back of Satoshi’s head into it while Takeshi put in a disk containing fighting techniques.

Satoshi felt a sensation of pain and pleasure at the same time as he started to learn some kung fu moves by a disk. The way he looked, he wanted more. So Takeshi grinned and gave him more. He gave him moves from various martial arts from Tae Kwon Do, to Karate, to Boxing, Kick Boxing, Wrestling, Drunk Boxing, Street Fighting, and more. The techniques of blocking, kicking, punching, and so forth began to swarm Satoshi’s mind as he learned each one for the Matrix.

As he was learning more moves, Kasumi and Takeshi watched as he soaked it all in like a sponge. They were there for god knows how long. Slifer came in watching them giving Satoshi various fighting techniques from various martial arts. Takeshi and Kasumi looked to see their captain there with them.

“How long has he been at it?” He asked looking at the screen.

“4 hours, he’s taking it all in like a sponge.” Takeshi replied.

“Yeah, it’s like he won’t stop learning at all.” Kasumi said looking at Satoshi as he kept learning how to fight.

Just then, he finished and he opened is eyes and panted the same words Neo said after he was done, “I know Kung Fu.”

Slifer looked down at him with a grin and said the same thing Morpheus said, “Show me.”

Later, Satoshi found himself in an arena much like the kind we see in wrestling and boxing matches. Satoshi looked to see Slifer in one corner in Chinese style doge that had a black collar, and purple in color. Around his waist was a black belt so it was obvious that he was a master at martial arts. Satoshi looked at himself and he was in a Tae Kwon Do training doge with a white belt. He then looked at Slifer.

“This is our training program to teach you how to fight in the Matrix.” Slifer explained. “I’m here to test out your skills and help you bring out your skills and see how well you can perform in the Matrix. So, let’s begin.”

Satoshi did a few practice moves before going into a fighting stance with his left hand in front of him and his right by his stomach. Slifer got into his fighting stance as well as he got ready to take Satoshi on. He wasn’t ready to go easy on Satoshi because he knew Satoshi would try to attack him head-on. Just then, Satoshi made the first move by throwing a couple of punches to Slifer. Slifer easily blocked them and countered with a couple of his own and they were blocked as well.

Back on the ship, Sketch, Data, and Noble had joined Takeshi and Kasumi in watching their captain and the new recruit fight against each other. Kasumi was hoping that Slifer wouldn’t be too hard on Satoshi because he was new, but he didn’t go easy on her when he freed her from the Matrix. So, like everyone else, she knew Slifer wouldn’t go easy on Satoshi.

After a few blocks, kicks, and punches, the two didn’t stop going at each other. Satoshi tried to trip Slifer a couple of times, but only made him trip once. Slifer landed the most hits on Satoshi and blocked every one of his. Slifer saw Satoshi charging at him after being hit against the rim. Slifer jumped into the air but at a higher altitude than an ordinary human being and flipped behind Satoshi and kicked him downward in a matter of 3 seconds.

Satoshi fell to the floor of the arena panting in defeat while holding his stomach. He was beaten by someone very experienced and well-trained. He never expected to lose.

“How do you think I defeated you Satoshi?” Slifer asked standing over him.

“You’re more experienced in this than I am that’s why.” Satoshi replied while panting in air.

“Do you really think that because of my skill, experience, strength, and speed has anything to do with how I defeated you?” Slifer asked while Satoshi looked at him for a second before looking down. “Do you really think that’s air you’re breathing in?”

Satoshi stopped breathing and looked at him fast with a look of anger. Before getting up and getting into fighting stance again. He breathed in a huge gust of air before throwing more punches and kicks at Slifer who immediately blocked them all.

“C’mon stop trying to hit me and hit me!” Slifer exclaimed as he and Satoshi really gave it their all.

Then Satoshi broke the laws of gravity and flipped 6 feet off the ground and behind Slifer. He then kicked him to the floor and threw a few punches at him that landed on his chest and stomach before stopping.

Everyone on the ship was amazed, they never seen anyone do this since Neo. Slifer was actually outfoxed by a new recruit. Kasumi was smiling like there was no tomorrow as she saw Satoshi win. But Takeshi grinned because he was hoping that Satoshi wouldn’t fail. He then got ready to load the jump program.

“Good Satoshi, you’re skills and speed are good but let’s see if you can free your mind.” Slifer said as he pulled out his cell and called Takeshi.

“Operator.” Came Takeshi’s voice.

“Takeshi, load the jump program.” Slifer simply stated as their surroundings changed from an arena, to a skyscraper rooftop.

They were back into their matrix clothing while Slifer wore his traditional sunglasses. Satoshi looked around and looked down and realized they were 30 stories high. He gulped and wondered that this ‘jump program’ was all about. He had a good idea of what it was but he didn’t think he’d accomplish this feat.

“Here, Satoshi is where we can test you to free your mind.” Slifer explained. “In the matrix, the laws of nature can be bent or broken. But in order for that to happen, you have to free your mind.” Just after Slifer said that, he turned, ran, and leaped from the roof they were standing on, to the other roof right across from it. The length was at least 30 feet.

Satoshi looked down uneasily and gulped looking at how high he was, but he remembered what Slifer said, ‘Free your mind’. Ok, I can do this, I just gotta free my mind. He thought as he backed up a little to get a good running start. He looked forward and began to run while thinking I can do this repeatedly. Just as me jumped, he felt that he could make it, but instead he fell straight down. Satoshi watched in fear as the ground came closer and closer until, he hit the pavement but it bounced him up like a trampoline and he fell back down and hit the pavement again, this time it hurt!

“Aww…I was kinda hoping he would make it.” Takeshi groaned as he and the rest of the crew saw Satoshi fall from the matrix code.

“Tak, (A/N: That’s Brock’s Jap nickname.) you know as well as I do that everyone falls on the first try.” Sketch said as he patted his friend’s shoulder.

Kasumi was the first to reach Satoshi and pull him out of the matrix. Satoshi stood up when he felt a sudden pain in his mouth. He dabbed his fingers on his lips and pulled them away only to see blood on them. He was shocked, he thought the matrix was real but before he could say that, a voice interrupted him.

“Your mind makes the Matrix real Satoshi.” When Satoshi looked to where the voice came from, he saw Slifer getting up. Then Satoshi looked at the blood on his fingers again, a little shaken up.

“So if I’m killed in the Matrix, I’m killed here?” Satoshi asked uneasily.

“Exactly, your body can’t survive without your mind.” Slifer said looking at Satoshi. “Whatever pain you feel in the Matrix, you feel it here.”

“Damn, and I thought the fighting was bad enough.” Satoshi complained as he got off the chair. “The jumping is going to be difficult.”

“Don’t worry Satoshi, you’ll manage to make it. Then once you’ve mastered the jump and your training, you’re going to see the oracle.” Kasumi said walking with him.

“The Oracle?” Satoshi echoed as he looked at her.

“Mm hmm, She’s a program in the Matrix who’s helped us since the beginning.” Kasumi explained. “All she does is tells us what we need to know. She’s a guide who will help us choose the right path in our destinies.”

“What did she tell you?” Satoshi asked as they arrived in his room.

“Well, all she told me was that I would be very skilled in the matrix, and that I would meet someone who would need me to assist them in helping ‘The One’.” Kasumi said as she looked at him back.

“Have you found that person yet?” Satoshi asked looking straight into her aquamarine eyes.

“No, not yet.” She said looking down then back into his amber-colored eyes. “But if I have I don’t know about it yet.”

“Well, I’ll tell you this,” Satoshi began as he took her hand in his. “Whoever they are is pretty lucky to meet someone like you.” He finished sincerely.

“Thanks Satoshi.” She said as she smiled at his comment. She then leaned up and gave him a peck on the cheek before leaving his room.

Satoshi put his hand to where she kissed his cheek, blushed slightly, and sighed. He then lied down on his cot and smiled. He knew he would sleep tonight but his training was far from over he still has to know what agents are and so on. So he could meet the Oracle in…

The Matrix
