And without further adue, here's my fanfic! *~~~~~~*~~~~~~*~~~~~~*~~~~~~*~~~~~~*~~~~~~*~~~~~~*~~~~~~*~~~~~~*~~~~~~* I am not an earthling. You see, I never knew my parents. I remember when I was born...I remember when I was born, I opened my eyes and found myself in a strange environment--which I know now... Space. I was born floating in some weird bubble in outer space. When I was dragged down to Earth, I would've burned in this remote planet's atmostphere, the heat that no alien was use to, but the bubble protected me, and even when I hit the ground with increased speed because of the atmosphere, the bubble protected me. But after a few seconds on Earth, it popped. No one else was around me. I was alone. I didn't know myself, and I'm unsure if I do now. But the name that my falster parent has given me is a strange and mysterious name...sounding normal to most earthlings, but to me, a word of power and determination... My name is Ash Ketchum. My name is Ash Ketchum, child of space. I have not told anyone this; not even have I told my falster parent, Delia Ketchum. She has raised me very well, and there was a feeling I got whenever I was around her... Love for a family member. My name is Ash Ketchum, child of space. One day, when I was about five years old, I was contently walking my friends home from middle school, because I was a very advanced child. Very advanced. When my friends were all home, I was alone again. Just then, a female figure and a male figure approached me, both full grown. "Who are you?" I asked, remembering the warning of my mother...oh...you all know the routine..."don't talk to strangers!"...that routine. "Ash Ketchum," they said, helping me to realize that it actually was my real name, "we are your parents." I gasped. "Wha-what do you mean? Delia is my mom!" They looked at each other and nodded their heads. "What'd you do that for? I'm NOT your son!" I shouted angrily. They were seriously confusing me. "I guess we'll just have to drain your mind of all that this "mother" of yours has literally hypnotized you with and you'll remember everything before you came to Earth..." the female said as she drew before me some weird circular thing that was SUPPOSED to "permanently" erase my memory... But it did. I at least don't remember anything me and mother did together... Before my Pokemon Journey. My name is Ash Ketchum. Child of Earth. * * * * * * * * * * * * Dear Diary, We're lost again. I don't know how I do it, I don't know what makes me do it, but I surely upset Misty and this bump on my head proves that I surely wish I didn't... Nothing else to say, Ash Ketchum, future Pokemon Master "No way!" Misty said with a bright smile. "You've got to be kidding me!" "I'm not joking! He really did say that!" Fern said. Did I say upset her? What made me say that? Fern had joined us in the last town, Thorn Town, where she SAID she was born, but I don't believe her...anyway, she's a really faithful companion-- "Shut up, Misty, he does NOT like you! Roy Peterson is too good-looking for an ugly slut like you!" Oh...did I say faithful? What made me say that? Well, all I can say is SOMETIMES Fern is sweet, and sometimes she can be even colder than Misty's sisters...like Misty herself. "An ugly slut?" Misty asked. "You're mean, Fern!" "You are one! You didn't deny it! You probably did it with Ash! ...Not that I'm one to argue, he is kind of cute..." Fern said with a sly smile. I turned so I could hide my blush. But I really didn't do anything like that to Misty. "You stupid--hey, really? You like Ash?" Misty asked, smiling now. "NO! Why would I like THAT thing?" OUCH. Hospital. "Ooh...YOU LIKE HIM!!" Misty shouted tauntingly. ("Well...maybe I do..." Fern said in a low tone.) "HEY ASH, FERN'S GOT A CRUSH ON--MMPH!" Misty said as Fern hurried to cover her mouth. GIRLS. Really. "Hey guys, let's be serious and find a way out of here," Brock said. I was just about to say that. "You mean...hey ASH, let's be serious and make YOU find US a way out of here!" Misty said, giving me a criticizing stare for me getting us lost. I sweatdropped. But then I sighed and we picked up our bags and started walking...and...as usual... Ended up spending the night in the forest again. "ASH KETCHUM YOU INSOLENT PEST! DO YOU KNOW HOW STUPID YOU ARE?? THIS IS THE FOURTH TIME TODAY YOU'VE LED US EVEN DEEPER INTO THIS STUPID FOREST, AND I AM SO SICK AND TIRED OF IT! I BET YOU COULDN'T EVEN FIND YOURSELF IN A MIRROR! YOU MAKE ME SO MAD! PSYDUCK ISN'T EVEN AS DENSE AS YOU, YOU ARROGANT, IGNORANT, BRATTY, STUPID, DENSE, SIMPLE-MINDED, ANNOYING, HARDHEADED, CHILDISH, IDIOTIC LITTLE WORTHLESS PEST!" I looked at Misty as if she had just stabbed me in the heart. Her words sure did. "MISTY, WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?" Fern shouted, running up to Misty and giving her a really HARD slap that caused an immediate red mark. "You've got no business talking to him like that, after all he's done for you!" "I don't care what he's done for me!" Misty shouted back at her. Then she looked over at me with those eyes that just emotionally killed me inside. "He just needs to know the TRUTH about how DUMB he is!" Fern slapped her again. Misty slapped her back. Soon, they were in a catfight. No, not an anime catfight like the one you've seen on television... This was real. They were trying to kill each other--literally. I had to stop them. I HAD to stop them... * * * * * * * * * * * * RM "Ash, are you all right?" "Ohh...my head hurts really bad," Ash said, holding his head in pure pain. "It's okay, dear, besides, we'll have to put you to sleep to do this operation--" "OPERATION??" Ash asked, bolting up in bed--which wasn't a very good idea. "AAH!" he shouted quickly as he felt a sudden sharp pain in his chest. It burned. He clenched his chest tightly in pain as he layed back down. "Ash, you shouldn't do that! You know after you got stabbed in the chest that you shouldn't sit up! You're making your heart beat more than it does when you rest, and you're not supposed to do that!" Nurse Celeste shouted immediately. "Stabbed? I got--oh God," Ash said as he looked down and noticed a knife still in his chest. "Take it out!" "ASH, SETTLE DOWN OR YOU'LL HAVE A HEART ATTACK! AND IN YOUR HEART'S CONDITION, YOU'LL DIE RIGHT THEN!" "Ow...my arm hurts..." "OH MY GOD SOMEONE GET HERE ASAP!" Celeste shouted, now knowing what his arm pain meant. Three doctors came rushing into the room right then. "What's the problem, nurse?" Doctor 1, Tom, asked. "This patient's name is Ash Ketchum and he's having a heart attack!" "I am?" Ash asked. "Ash, do you feel short of breath? I mean, shorter than when you first came here?" "Yeah, I do--" "THEN YOU'RE HAVING A HEART ATTACK! COME ON, LET'S GET TO WORK!" Doctor #2, John, said to the other doctors. Doctor #3, Tanya, got the things together as they powered up his breathing machine and gave him some I.V. tubes. They put him to sleep as they did their most careful task of taking the knife out of Ash's heart without alerting any organs... * * * * * * * * * * * "Ash? Ash, how do you feel?" Fern asked, coming into the room. "Fern? I...I'm doing just great," Ash said, giving her a small smile. Though it was to cheer her up, the smile looked weak, and it made Fern very sorry and sad. "Ash...I'm so sorry that I did that to you...I couldn't think with that pocketknife...I don't deserve to live," Fern said, sitting in a chair next to Ash's hospital bed, crying as she lowered her head. "Hey, cheer up. I'm still alive, and as long as I am, I won't be mad at you. I know it was a mistake...right?" Ash asked. "Right," Fern said with a smile as she blushed. But then she frowned again. "Ash, how are you coming up?" "They took the knife out as you can see and I'll be out of here within a few weeks," Ash said. "A few weeks?? But they told me when you first got here that it might've been a few days!" Ash looked to the side, frowning. "I...I know..." "Ash, why are you so pale?" Ash didn't answer. "ASH?? Ash, answer me!" "Well...I had a heart atta--" "A HEART ATTACK!?? It was all my fault, wasn't it?! I knew I shouldn't have brang that protection knife and reacted like that--" "No, Fern, none of it was your fault. I guess my heart just wasn't up to it when Celeste told me that I'd die if I did have a heart attack...but hey, I'm alive!" Ash said, looking back at Fern, smiling again. "Oh Ash...you're so simple and content, I bet that heart of yours will remain good...in both ways," Fern said, smiling. Ash, remembering the doctor telling him that he could take the breathing machine off whenever he felt he could breath just fine since it was easy to put back on, took off the breathing machine. "Ash--" "Fern, I'll be fine. The doctor permitted me to do that." "Oh. Listen, I'm really sorry that you had to break up the fight between Misty and I, leading you here...I'm really sorry Misty called you all those names...Ash, you are all the opposite...you're the brightest, sweetest, most important person in this world...at least to me..." Fern said, smiling at him. Ash smiled back. "So are you...thank you so much for being there for me then, and being here for me now, and I don't know how I could ever repay you..." "Maybe...by...doing...this," Fern said quietly as they both leaned in... "Ash, are you all right?" Misty asked, only to see Ash and Fern...locked into a deep, passionate kiss. "Oh...oh my God," Misty said. Fern let go in time just to see Misty standing in the doorway. "Hey Misty, what's wrong?" Fern asked. Tears bottled up inside Misty's eyes, some shedding very quickly. This concerend Ash also. "Yeah Misty, what's the matter?" Ash asked. "I...I went too far, didn't I?" Misty asked quietly as she lowered her head in defeat. "What are you talking about?" Fern and Ash asked in unision. But ignoring that, Misty turned around in sadness and left the hospital room... Ash and Fern exchanged worried glances. "I'd better go see what's wrong," Fern said. "Right." * * * * * * * * * * * "Misty. MISTY!" Fern said as she ran over to the running Misty in the hallway. "What's the matter?" "What's the matter? WHAT'S the MATTER??? You wouldn't understand!" Misty shouted as she kept walking. "Misty, is this about me and Ash...kissing?" Fern asked. "What do YOU think?" Then, Misty kept shedding tears as she ran faster. "You know, in all my life, I've never thought I'd meet some insensitive ex-friend like YOU!" "Misty, STOP THAT!" Misty stopped walking as she broke into tears. "Misty," Fern said, catching up with her as she put a gentle and concerned hand on her shoulder, "do you...love Ash?" Misty turned around, breaking into more tears. Fern gave her shoulder a reassuring squeeze. "Oh Fern...I've always loved Ash from the bottom of my heart, more than anything in the world! I'm so in love with him...and seeing that he's in love with someone else--" "Misty, no one said WHO he was in love with. It was a kiss, Misty, a KISS. That doesn't mean he's in love with me." "What's a kiss if it's not filled with love?" Misty cried more. "Oh Misty..." Fern said sadly. Then, something popped up. "Hey!" Fern shouted, smiling. "If you apologize to him about what you said, then you'll be able to ask who he's really in love with! And Misty, I'll bet you everything that he'll say that he loves you back, because Misty...who wouldn't love a sweet, beautiful girl like you?" "Really? But you said I was an ugly--" "Misty, I was joking. Now go in there and start your beautiful future," Fern said, giving Misty a light, friendly push back to the E.R. room. Misty smiled and nodded her head. She walked to the E.R., but before she went in, she turned around and saw Fern. She ran up to Fern and surprised her with a huge hug of friendship. Really tight. As they let go, Fern smiled and winked, as Misty walked into the E.R... "Misty?" Ash asked, not knowing how to react. Or if he should react at all. "Ash," she said, "there's something you need to know..." * * * * * * * * * * * * AM The moon was in full glow and the crickets were chirping contently. I sighed as I closed my eyes, the darkness seemingly related to the darnkess of the night. I could only seem to think of one thing... Were those mysterious people really...my parents? Who am I? Who sent me to Earth? And...what did they send me for? But my thoughts were interrupted as I heard footsteps. A warm hand rested on my shoulder. "Ash? Are you all right?" I was far from camp. Of course I wasn't all right. But Misty couldn't know that. I couldn't just come up to her and say I was an alien. Does that sound smart? Hehe...no. "Huh? Yeah...I'm fine--" "Ash, I'm not crazy. Something's wrong. Please, Ash, tell me what it is." "I can't tell you." Oh, smart move, Ash. Now she DEFINITELY KNOWS something's wrong. A song crossed my mind. "Back Down To Earth" ~Love has set me to heights that Exit the atmosphere.~ "Ash, you can tell me anything. I love you, you know that." ~Adrift the midst of space, A world so vast and clear.~ "I love you too, and I wish I could tell you. But it has nothing to do with you or anybody else on this pla--um...in this forest or anyone you know." ~I feel my body shaking, Yet I can't make it move.~ "Ash, tell me. How can you not tell me?" ~Trapped between two different lives, My heart, set free with you.~ "Because my mind is full of thoughts through questions...I can't tell you unless I know the answers." ~(Who will I turn to) When I am lonely? (Can I turn to you) Love, will you hold me?~ "How would you know if I don't know?" ~(Your love's a star) Shining brightly like your eyes, My sunshine, my early sunrise...~ ~Back down to Earth, send me down there, Back to the world below the air~ "Because...I just know. Misty, please, I can't tell you, and that's just the way it is." ~Your love has left me breathless, But I need to breathe. So back to my own world, my love, Deliver me.~ "Well...are you okay about it? Is anything else wrong?" ~Back down to Earth, send me down there, Back to the world below the air. Your love has left me breathless, But I need to breathe. So back to my own world, my love, Deliver me.~ "No, I'm just in deep thought." "Oh...all right," Misty said as she turned to leave. ~Your love has set me on fire~ "Hey, Misty?" ~Yet the sign of my home's not even showing.~ "Yes, Ash?" I smiled at her. ~Even though it kills me, I love your love so much~ "Thanks for coming to ask me that. It was really thoughtful of you. You're a really good person, Misty." Misty looked down, her eyes closed as she blushed and gave Ash a coy, sweet little smile. ~Because you get my heart aglowing When I don't know where I'm going, Oh!~ The next thing she knew, when she opened her eyes, I was behind her with my arms reaching around her neck and resting on her shoulders, then sliding down to her waist and resting there. I whispered into her ear, "You wonder why I love you so much..." Misty turned around, smiling at me as I kept my arm around her waist and she put her arms around my shoulders. We started our own little slow dance in each other's arms. "Ash," she asked with a small giggle, "why are we dancing?" "I don't know about you...I'm just dancing to that sweet melody I see in your eyes..." Misty gasped as tears of joy bottled up inside her eyes as she gave me a really tight hug, then we both leaned in very slowly as we closed our eyes, parted our lips... ~Back down to Earth, send me down there, Back to the world below the air. Your love has left me breathless, But I need to breathe. So back to my own world, my love, Deliver me, Deliver me... Back down to Earth, send me down there, Back to the world below the air. Your love has left me breathless, But I need to breathe. So back to my own world, my love, Deliver me, Deliver... Back down to Earth, send me down there, Back to the world below the air. Your love has left me breathless, But I need to breathe. So back to my own world, my love, Deliver me. Deliver me... Deliver me.~ *~~~~~~*~~~~~~*~~~~~~*~~~~~~*~~~~~~*~~~~~~*~~~~~~*~~~~~~*~~~~~~*~~~~~~* And locked our lips together for the best kiss I ever experienced. To seal our love. "This is everything that happened while we were gone? Oh Ash, we only took a vacation, your mother and I. And it must be fate you left and came back to us, 'cause our vacation was here on Earth! You know, the people here don't have the most understandable things, but the way they communicate is just like ours, so we came here!" Jordan said. "Yeah! They have names and relationships like us there too!" Laila said. "Well, mom, well, dad, I'm really glad that that bubble knew where it was going," Ash said with a small giggle. "What was that bubble all about anyway?" "Those are simply called space bubbles, dear," Laila said. "If a person has love for another person, whether they be in love, or it just be for a family. It drags one person to his or her loved one." "You catching onto this, Misty, love?" Ash asked. "ASH KETCHUM GET ME OUT OF THIS BUBBLE RIGHT NOW!!!!!!" Hehe... Everyone laughed...except Misty, of course.
