December 11, 2005 Part III: The Gate Falls Michael woke up late the following nite. It was still the same day he had encountered his first Cipher in years. Midnite would come very soon. He was going to use an extra hour to get to the Pyrite Cave to find this old rival of his. The clock read 11:02. Two minutes off schedule. The nite time heavens were peaceful. The woods now most likely occupied by nite-lurking pokemon such as marcrow were quiet as Michael mounted his hover-scooter and took the road to Pyrite Town which at nite time was not the same. Once he came to the rough and crazy small city, there was shouting and much uproars. This place was much different at nite. It took a complete transformation once the sun had surrendered to the graceful moon which brought with it black and blue skies. Stars weren't seen here because of the lights but a glass bottle could be seen in the air and then falling back to the ground in a loud shatter. Michael parked his scooter to his right and caught sight of something to the left also parked. An impressive looking motorcycle with an exotic long engine with clean gleaming silver pipes sticking out the sides and the back. Only one tire was present at the back. Who it belong to obviously wasn't that important because Michael just shrugged. But then a sidepocket began to move around a little and something very small popped out of the side of the vehicle. It was a little squirrel creature with mostly white fur and cute big black eyes. Its face resembled a pikachu's. Michael remembered hearing about fourth generation pokemon slowly migrating to Orre on the ONBS News. Perhaps this was one of them- "YO MICHAEL!" said a voice. One of Michael's training buddies Cail was leaning up against the rocky wall of Pyrite Town's entrance. That's what this town kind of was; a little development enclosed in a large rocky C. Cail was wearing his favorite black jean jocket with his grey tanktop and black jeans. "Hey Cail," Michael waved. "What's up man. Michael and Cail had known each other for a long time ever since the Second Incident they had constantly battled each other and trained thoroughly even after Michael put a stop to Cipher's sinister plot. As a result, Cail has become one of the toughest trainers in Orre. "Look man, I gotta go somewhere, so I'll see you later-" "Where you goin'." He asked quickly. "On a little trip." Michael nearly forgot how good of friends they were and not telling Cail the truth may not have been fair. "C' mon." As they walked through the town square which was now flooded with mischievious pokemon and their down-right-no-good trainers, Michael explained to Cail the situation. "So you got this strange E-mail and it told you to go to Pyrite Cave and find him?" Cail said getting his facts straight. "Yeah but I don't know who would have my PDA number. I'm also going for another reason." Cail arched an eyebrow. "And that would be..." "Cipher is back." Michael glared a serious glare at Cail now leaving the town square and approaching a three story tall white building. "WHAT?" Cail shouted in disbelief. "SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Michael shushed loudly nearly spitting saliva through his clenched teeth. "Not so loud!" He whispered loudly. "How?" Cail calmed down. "I thought you put them in their place for good." "So did I." Michael thought. "But I guess not." Michael took a dash towards the rocky wall parallel to the building and propelled himself from the brown structure into the railing gaining more height in the air and landed both feet balanced on the railing. He turned to Cail still positioned on the railing. "Come on." "Uh Michael, I'm not sure what kind of work out you do but, I CAN'T DO DAT!" Cail yelled comically. "But on a serious note," Cail jumped into the soda machine which was next to the white building's glass doors. He wasn't out of shape but he at least managed to scuffle on top of the soda machine with much effort. "Come on Cail do it like your being chased by a pack of Arcanine!" Michael called to him hands on hips still standing on the railing. "OH SHUT UP!" Cail bellowed. He struggled over the railing and then fell on his back of the rooftop. "Why are we here? Are you breaking into the ONBS studio?" "No crazy. Look." Michael pointed to the boarded up entrance to something. On the boards that were nailed down was a notice in red chipping paint: PYRITE CAVE OFF LIMITS! PYRITE POLICE! Michael lifted his leg and then thrusted his foot forward kicking the boards clean off their nails into darkness. "Let's go." And the two trainers entered the dark and silent cave. *** The couple were awake from napping at the Pyrite Motel and were getting ready. Rui was wearing something different tonite. She wore blue Uggs and tight jean shorts. And then she put on her jean jacket with her orange shirt underneath. In fact, the shorts looked so good on her, her boyfriend couldn't stop admiring her legs. "You make that outfit look soooooooo sexy." "Well I try." Rui supposed smiling sexily tying her hair in a ponytail. "You don't have to." Wes walked up to her and pushed her back up against the bed and began sucking on her neck. But she stopped him. "Not now." As much as arousing he was, they had work to do. "Aw man." Wes pouted jokingly. He wore a black trench coat this time much like his navy one with black pants and his gloves. Positioned on his forehead were a pair of silver shades. The couple left the motel and came out the front of Pyrite Town. Things were still out of hand. The street lights occasionally blinked, street fights, with pokemon and thugs alike broke out. Wes would have liked to stay and deal with them but there was a more dangerous cause that needed attention. Then someone tapped him in the soulder but Wes quickly spun around grabbing the arm and twisted whoever it was so that his back was facing Wes as he put a strain on him. "DUDE-OW-OW-STOP!" "Who are you?" Wes demanded. "It's Chase, Chase man. Calm down. I just noticed who you were thas' all." The guy was wearing a purple hooded sweat shirt and purple sweat pants with black New Balance sneakers. At the moment all he saw was medium spiky maroon hair from the back of his head. "Then who might I be?" Wes asked using his strength to keep the man in check. "Oh please, I battled you a long time ago when you fought dem Cipher people. You're Wes. I recognized you even if you are a grown ass man." Wes let him go and the man fell to the floor but stood up holding his left arm in pain. He actually wasn't a man. He looked to be about twenty years old. More like a young man. "Yo man dat wasn't neccesary." "Whatever." Wes and Rui left the thug to be. The two entered Fateen's home to see Duke napping in a chair, arms folded and snoring alittle. He woke up with a quick snore seeing them. "Guys, whatdoyaneed." "I just need to talk to Fateen." Wes said. "Oh ya can't. She's asleep-" "W-Wes..." Said Fateen's old voice. "Fateen." Wes started, approaching her. "Come-" She coughed twice before settling. "I need help on how to get to the Under. You see there were two ways to get there: one was the elevator in the old warehouse but there's this building there now; some sort of news studio. Another was a min shaft alley not far from Pyrite but when I went there it had been removed and buried." "I can not help you Wes-" She coughed again this time with a shower of blood. "You guys gotta go. She needs sleep." Duke insisted. "You're right. Fateen take care, let's go babe." "Wait you two." Duke said. "I know one more way you could get to the Under but it may be dangerous." "Well we need to know regardless." Wes insisted. "In the chasm with the bridge leading to the Colosseum is a locked door, here's the key." And Duke handed from his back pocket an old metal key. "Thank you Duke." Wes thanked. "Now we can go." Once more outside Wes turned to the town entrance. Cail was gone. Wes thought nothing more of it and they continued back into town. Soon they passed the town square and approached the bridge. Up ahead was a gigantic eighty foot high grey spherical hump with a small rugged hole on the side which looked to have been from fire. Inside that hump was the arena for the Pyrite Colosseum. Rui turned to the chasm and looked down below. "So don't we need to go down there?" "Yup." Wes said also approaching the cliff. Then suddenly he could feel a third presence that was hiding itself from them, keeping its distance. He figured whoever was following them wasn't a threat because he had an idea who it was. "So how are we going to get down there?" Wes turned to her grinning evilly. "Oh no, Wes you better not-ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" *** Cold...gloomy...dark...silent. These are the words that fit this lonely and quiet chasm. A light fog drifted above the rocky ground. No signs of pokemon lived among this area. The only two people that were wandering this black and musky environment had just arrived meeting the ground abruptly on two feet. Now being set down on her two feet, Wes turned to Rui with an angry expression. "You are crazy!" She shouted "Yeah, yeah I know. C' mon." Wes grabbed her by the hand taking a left. But she stopped him. "What is it?" "What if the door's that way." Rui pointed in the opposite direction. "Find, you go that way and I go this way." And as Wes left her to stand by herself but she quickly scuddled over to him. "I thought so." "Oh shut up." Rui snapped. As they walked together hoping to find the door, Rui had questions. "Hey babe," Wes turned to her waiting for her question. "How do you think Fateen is getting so sick? Surely not old age." Wes turned from her, closing his eyes and folding his arms. "You're right. It's not old age. She's been poisoned somehow." "Poisoned!" Rui exclaimed. "Why would anyone want to kill Fateen. "You don't see her ability? Fateen is pyschic, Rui. She can see one's future. You thought that was an act back in the old days. No. And of course she had a vision of the coming of the Shadow Pokemon and the Gate that held them locked in the XD which is crumbling." "XD?" "Xtra Dimension." "Right. So I guess someone had knowledge that she could really see the future?" "Exactly. I'm thinking Cipher." "Yeah, true. Who else would know in the first place about Fateen's pyschic powers and also be trying to kill her other than Cipher? I got nothing." "Right again Rui. Cipher must know that she would see that the Shadow Pokemon were coming. But why? I don't understand. How does the Shadow Pokemon affect them? The Ciphers are human too." "Yeah, they're in just as much danger if these evil pokemon do emerge if you can't stop them." "Oh no. I know for a fact I can't stop them, well not alone." "What?" "Yes Rui. I may have been training, trying to control...well you know but even with that cursed power..." Wes said eyeing his left arm. "...I couldn't stop them." "So let's say these Shadow Pokemon escape the XD, could you stop them then?" "Most likely...no." He ended darkly. "So that's it. We are gonna fail. Real Shadow Pokemon are coming this time around and you're saying once they do it's the end?" "That doesn't mean I won't try to do what I can. There has to be some way to stop them from destroying Orre." "And the world." "That too-" Then they both stopped and faced the dead end. A dead end. "WHAT?" Rui shouted. "You gotta be kiddin'!" Then she turned to Wes. "See, what did I tell you. I told you we should've went the other way but noooooooo. You said let's split up." "Yeah but you wouldn't do that. And at least we know we came the wrong way." Wes pointed out simply. "OF COURSE WE CAME THE WRONG WAY! LOOK! IT'S A DEAD END!" Rui bellowed, poking out her lips in annoyance. "But you were too scared to go by yourself so we did it my way." Wes countered calmly. "I'm not walking around down here alone." She shot back now that they were turning back to the other way. "Why would you even suggests that your own girlfriend go roaming around in a place like this." "Oh please. I knew you weren't going to agree with splitting up anyway." Rui stopped and Wes continued the trail. "Oh." she said not realizing this. She caught back up with him and said, "hey I can't see very well here, it's too dark." "I can see just fine." Wes assured. "But you always could see find in the dark. I think you proved that before." She added giving him a seducing smile. And he returned the look, "Oh yeah I remember that. Now that was some good-" But he stopped abruptly and his eyes turned alert. "What is it?" Rui asked also alarmed but nervous as well. "Nothing." Wes said. He could feel that same individual was drawing nearer. "Here let me help with that light problem." And pulling out his pokeball, he pressed the button in the center and it opened in a bright flash. Umbreon materialized from the light and looked at Wes waiting for a command. "Use Flash." Umbreon began to illuminate from the golden ring markings on its legs, forehead, and the one looped around its tail. So they continued once more in hopes of finding the door that would be unlocked by the key Wes recieved. "Hey hun," Rui turned to Wes once more." "Hmm." "Do you think, well it's been what seven years since the Second Incident right?" "Yeah." "What about that boy who thwarted Cipher, couldn't he possibly help us?" "I've been thinking about. Someone cabaple of doing that single handedly could be a great ally. But-" "What?" "Who's to say he has an immense power coursing through his veins like I?" "Well you never know." And then for the third time it came. That feeling. The stalker was here. "It seems that we are being followed Rui." "What? Who? Where?" Rui once again was alarmed looking around quickly, alarmed. "Here." Then Wes using brute force struck the wall he was parallel to with the side of his fist causing gravel and dirt to rain to the earthen ground. Suddenly a humanoid figure fell hard to the ground on his back with an exhaled "OOF!" to go with his sudden connection to the bottom. Wes folded his arms looking at the person that was stalking them. "Why are you following us, Chase!" "What?" Rui looked from over Wes' shoulder and saw that it was indeed the thug from before who was struggling to stand propping himself against the stony wall. "You! What do you want already?" He coughed a little from the blow he took from meeting the ground. "Well, I saw that you two were goin' somewhere. So I-" "You followed us." Rui finished. "So you're nosie too. Well I guess sense you are here, you might as well join us. You could be of some use. You said you battled me before right?' "Huh, well yeah I did. But that pokemon is gone. I traded it for a new one." "Either way, you're here now so C' mon-" "WHAT?" Rui shouted in Wes ear. "C' mere!" "What?" Wes said seeming innocent as she dragged him away from the thug. Then she began whispering in his ear leaving Umbreon with Chase who plopped his little cat body on the ground looking at Chase, tail waving around in the quiet hazy air causing the light around them to shift in whatever direction his tail went. "What do you think you're doing bringing him with us." Rui scolded. "Hey relax, he's a pokemon trainer too. We could use an extra hand." He whispered back. "But you know how I feel about-" "About thugs?" "Yes!" She whispered loudly in his face. "But that was awhile ago." "No not that. I'm not talking about Trudly and Folly. I just don't like hoodlums or any resident of Pyrite, they are all bad people." "Then what does that make Cipher." "Worse!" "Well you don't know him and neither do I. Besides, Cail isn't bad." "But you're the one who tried to break his arm." "Nah-ah that was a submission. I thought he was going to hit me I guess." "But he just wanted to say hi." "Wait, you just said he's a thug. So maybe he isn't if he was just coming to say "hi" right?" This last remark left Rui quiet. "I rest my case." Wes and Rui approached Chase walking into Umbreon's light. "Listen uh Chip-" "It's Chase." "That's what I said." "No, you said Chip." "Whatever look um, you can come but you might want to walk with me." "Why?" He asked looking from Umbreon to Wes with amber eyes. It had just dawned on him that Chase had eyes similar to his. "Because-" Wes put his arm around the back of Chase's neck resting his hand on his shoulder. He looked over his shoulder at his girlfriend who wasn't seeming to be paying attention and back to the thug. "To put it frankly...she hates you." "But why?" "Long story-thug paranoia-stuff like that." Chase nodded his head, understanding. "Well C' mon Rui." Wes shouted waving his arm to her. "Fine, but I want Umbreon." "Sure. Hey, Umbreon. Go walk with Rui." And his night black pokemon lifted himself up off the ground to walk with his master's girlfriend. So they continued their trip once more with Chase as the new tag-along. "Hey let me ask you somethin'" "What." "Where did you and your girl go for twelve years?" "Vacation." "For tweleve years?" "We took a trip around the world." Wes lied. Rui walked behind them feeling steam leave her attitude now. She wasn't one to hold grudges but was the typical female to never forget anything. "Wes better not mess this up." She whispered to herself. "Now that he's tagging along, it'll take longer." But as she walked with her boyfriend's pokemon she stopped. She saw something to her right that caught her attention. Umbreon stopped too, waiting for Rui to continue. There was something near the bottom that caught her eye. She took a closer inspection. A door hinge. She saw a door hinge. She looked up higher and saw a large piece of rock missing showing black metal behind the wall. "Wes!" She called to him. "I found something!" Wes and Chase quickly jogged to her and the First Hero looked at what she was directing to. He too saw the black metal and knocked on it. The door was indeed thick. He pressed his ear feeling the coldness of the metallic exterior and knocked once more. "This is it. Stand back...you too." He added to Umbreon who then joined Chase and Rui. Wes pressed his hand up against the rocky shell which blocked whatever was behind it. He spread his fingers wide. "Oh yeah like he's gonna break it-" Wes inhaled and his chest expanded a little. Then once he exhaled his breath through his mouth, the stony covering on the wall was blown off in a small explosion sending dust, dirt, and debris everywhere. Chase remained silent and dumbfounded, his eyes completely circle and mouth hanging open. "Oh close your mouth!" Rui snapped. But she didn't understand. As much as she was used to it seeing Wes' strength she had grown acustom to watching him grow in this mysterious power he had. Chase on the other hand was a newby to it all. He had just watched this man blow up a section of the trench's wall by placing his hand on it. Wes was now standing in front of a tall metal door about six feet or so high. He pulled from his inside coat pocket the key he acquired from Duke and inserted it through the lock and pushed the door open with one hand. "Well everyone. Let's go. Umbreon return." He called his pokemon back seeing that the tunnel ahead was dimly lit by old torches which continued deeper inside the path. *** The atmosphere was humid. Old gears and junk from the old warehouse where the ONBS studio is now was all over the place. So much stuff: vending machines, rusted tin cans, broken in half pokeballs, and more countless things. "So what makes you think Cipher is back again?" Cail asked walking by Michael's right side. "'Cause, I battled one earlier today at Gateon Port." "Oh, well that pretty much is solid proof." Cail supposed. Stray pokemon such as rattata and zubat scuddled and fluttered among the dark cave with almost no light. The dead air was a bit intimidating but the two trainers kept their cool and continued on in the cave. "What was it like?" "What?" "You know, battling a cipher for the first time in several years." "Oh it was a actually a bit wierd not expecting them to return in all." "I figured." "Look," Michel pointed to a smaller tunnel ahead which curved downward into more darkness with dim lights ahead. "Come on." The two men entered the small tunnel and took a turn to their left. This faintly firelight pathway was spooky, full of cobwebs enshrouding the brown rugged ceiling. The pathway was much longer than expected. In fact it began to expand the more and more Michael and Cail continued on. But eventually they were out. They dropped down from a short slope and pushed further looking for Michael's 'rival'. This underground area was no longer of dirt and soil but had a concrete floor. Old, grey, cracky, and worn out the ground was. There was a door to the left and one to the right distant from the two men. They nodded and seperated. Michael was walking towards the right door which was several feet away. He approached the crimson rusted door and opened it with both hands on each bar. The room was mostly empty save for the garbage cluttered along the sides of the wall. But then there was hissing and suddenly Michael jumped back and nearly fell if he hadn't balanced himself using a single hand and then backflipping still on one arm away from the door. A seviper uncoiled itself from above the pipe it had rested on before interrupted. The serpent viper pokemon launched but collided into closed doors. Picking up an old plank, Michael shoved it through the handle bars. Cail on the other hand was returning to Michael already. "Nothin'" He told him. "Same, well except for a wild seviper." Once more, Michael and Cail proceeded ahead towards the sound of something. It sounded like the rushing flow of a river. But there couldn't have been a river down here in this old cave right? The closer they walked the more they also heard what sounded like to them...music. Eventually the water mystery came clear as there was a demolished bridge before them. They came to the jagged lining of where it had plunged to the bottom of a great body of sewer water. The brownish green dirt water traveled to the west, towards the direction the sea was. "This is where all our water goes when we flush our toilets and turn on the faucets?" Michael asked in disbelief. "Yeah man. Welcome to the not so pretty side of Orre. Eventually this water will overflow." "We have to do something." Michael insisted. But there was a bigger objective at the moment. Unable to look at the not so clear water which contained a horrible reeking stench, the Second Hero called out his Vaporeon. "Freeze a path to the other side." Vaporeon began to exhale a cold frosty beam of energy freezing a path before them. "Let's be out, but don't slip." "I ain't gonna-" But Cail met the cold new icy bridge with a heavy plop on his bottom. "-nevermind." He finished struggling to stand. The icy path was growing as Vaporeon maintained expanding its makeshift bridge. And the closer they came to the other side of where the bridge use to be, the louder this music became. Then the last touch up of blue arctic ice was finished and Vaporeon's job was done. "Nice work." And Vaporeon was reverted to a less cat shape as it was sucked into the pokeball with the water sign on it. Michael and Cail saw a nearby den ahead. A slim brown bushy tailed furret rested on its stomach until it caught sight of them approaching where it apparently stood on guard and scurried inside the den where the music which gave off a Latin style was coming from. "That's it I bet." Michael said assuringly. "Then let's go see who your rival is." Cail insisted. *** It was clammy in the tunnel. Rui fanned herself with a hand, Chase wiped sweat from his forehead with the back of his hand, but Wes just irnored it. He wasn't worried about the clamminess, he just wanted to find a way to stop the Xtra Dimension from opening before Cipher makes a move. Dealing with shadow pokemon and Cipher would be a double problem that could be too much for even him. The dark tunnel continued onward and the torches propped on the walls were beginning to subtract in number the further they pushed on. Eventually the firelight began to fade. It was nearly impossible for Rui or Chase to see. Wes on the other hand had a very high sense of sight. He could see further ahead that it was getting much darker than the current dimness. Then he saw that they were in a much larger area. Large was an understatement. This place was gigantic. Their footsteps echoed all around. He felt Rui quickly latch on to Wes' arm. Chase seemed to have kept close to him as well. And suddenly, all the lights turned on abruptly. The three of them shielded their eyes from the sudden burst of illumination. Once everyone's eyes adjusted they looked around. They were in a large arena-like place. There were stands circling the central arena. Higher stands were located above their heads. All of the pews were old, worn out and empty except for a blue humanoid figure in the third level stands. It stood up and leaped high into the air and landed firmly on the cement ground crouched on a knee. "Took you long enough to get here." His soft voice said now standing up at a height equal to Chase. The man was clad in aqua blue armor. His body armor seemed light but the helmet looked very solid. All that could be seen from his facial features was his lips and chin. His eyes were hidden behind a black tinted visor. The boots also looked heavy; a kick from this guy may well have been deadly. Clipped on his left side was a sheath. A katana? Could he be skilled in the art of a samurai blade? "Who are you?" Wes spoke out loudly. "Codename: Bluesix! Ranking in the Hexagon Squad of Cipher: six! Orders from Sir Ardos were to kill you." "Kill me?" Wes smirked at this last remark. "I don't recognize the name Ardos but I heard Cipher. So the Syndicate has already started their evil plot? Starting off with me being killed by a peon. Never thought Cipher would convert to killing." "Firstly, I am not a peon, I'm ranked above commanders and beneath Administrators!" He shouted suddenly. He seemed to have surprised himself. Perhaps this cipher was a usually calm individual who didn't take kindly to insults which resulted in loud outbursts. "Forgive me for my rudeness. But I believe you are mistaken Wes." "Well even if you are a cipher which makes you an enemy of me, I wouldn't want to kill you." Wes said. "That's too bad. Because if you intend to live, you will have to kill me. I have orders..." He stated nonchalantly. And so he grasped the handle of his katana and unsheathed his sword in a screech. With a metal swipe he held in his hand an aqua blue blade steaming with cold air. "and I will follow them." With that last word he dashed quickly to Wes. He saw him approach quickly but to him Bluesix was slow. He swung diagonally from the top right and the tip cut the ground a bit. Wes was gone. But where did he go? "Behind you." Said a deep and pliable voice. But an elbow took a blow at his upper back and Bluesix flew several feet and hit the ground. He stood himself up. "So you have a little speed. I must admit, you're quicker than me. A nice plus for you. But I will kill you if it costs my life." He took another run towards Wes starting a quick series of sword stabs and swings. Every single one missing its target, Wes dipped forward tilting his head a little to the left dodging a straight forward stab, lunging ahead and uppercutted the blue soldier high in the air and landed badly on his back losing his breath. He sat himself up using a hand, katana in the other left hand. He could feel a different thicker, and more gross taste in his mouth and spat out saliva. Mixed with it was blood. "Bastard, you made me bite my tongue." "Oh really. My bad." Wes teased, arms folded. Rui and Chase stood together further away from the battle. They were still standing by the entrance of the tunnel they came from. Chase watched mostly with his mouth opened. The fight was something he had never seen before. It was no comparison from the streetfights in Pyrite Town at nite. This was something totally different. Rui was also concerned of the fight. This Cipher's duty was obviously more than to kill Wes. She wasn't completely worried about the fight. She knew Wes would win. But was this more than what it seemed? Perhaps whoever shipped this cipher off to "kill" Wes was just a simple decoy to slow them down from reaching the Xtra Dimension Gate. Meanwhile, the fight continued and Bluesix was getting no where. He just couldn't get a solid hit on Wes. He was fast and cunning. His yellow eyes could actually see quicker than the hand. The aqua cipher squeezed both hands on his sword and raised his arms and they came back down vertically quickly targetting Wes' head. But once again speed overwhlemed him and the First Hero let himself fall back using his arm as balance and threw his booted foot through the opening in Bluesix's arms. The sword weilding Cipher was again taken off his feet and flew around like a rag doll meeting the hard cement ground with his back again. "If you give up now, you can still walk away with your life." Wes shouted to him. He folded his arms again and waited for his foe to rise. Sitting up again, Bluesix suddenly pushed himself up on one knee crouching, and drove his blue blade into the grey ground. "I don't think so." Then the Hexagon Squad member stood up leaving his sword in place. "I'm not done yet. I will make sure you all die here." "Why did you leave your sword, you're unarmed." Wes pointed out looking from Bluesix to the sword. "And so are you." Bluesix said. "True." "But I also have Metagross." He stated simply. He unclipped from his left waist a blue pokeball and threw it. It opened and the electric white light shaped out something very big. The first four things to materialize were super huge metallic cobalt legs. They were spider-like with claws at the bottom of its flat, round, plated feet. The body was also its head in some cases. It was massive and occupied ruby red eyes and a clawed metal mouth. An X shaped silver plating was present on the front of its face. With a deep roaring voice it growled, "Meta!" "Now you die." "Sure. If that is what you think. I have pokemon too you know. Let's do this Snease." And he whipped back a fold of his coat exposing five pokeballs, two pokeballs, a greatball, a masterball, and an all white pokeball. He grabbed the greatball, which was simply a pokeball with a blue top instead of red and tossed it forward. From the ball's opening exhaled its own flashing brightness forming Sneasel. A three foot navy blue imp-like pokemon stood by Wes' side. There were pink spikes along its back and one on its rabbit ear and two long sharp claws on each of its little paw-like hands. "Attack with Shadow Ball." Sneasel leaped forward forming an orb of shadow in its hands and launched the basketball sized projectile into Metagross' face. The attack was quick and Metagross didn't even get a chance to react and was knocked off its heavy metal feet. "AW! Get up you big good for nothing hunk of rust! NOW!" Metagross rised with an angry expression most likely from its trainer's insult. "Now use Meteor Smash." The metal spider-like pokemon's right front claw began to glow brightly and then suddenly it teleported. Then in a bright flash, a claw brighter than the sun struck Sneasel's back and then Wes in the chest. But just in time to block it, Wes crossed his arms in front of his chest and was knocked back three feet. "Hey Snease." Wes said to his pokemon near by. "His pokemon is strong but there's one thing it doesn't have." "Sneasel?" It squaked. "That's right." They both stood, ready to fight. "Alright Cipher, you've done it now. Sneasel go, use Faint Attack." The little pokemon was nothing but a navy blue blur as it dashed towards Metagross and tackled in its face, knocking it back a little. "Ha! Your little squirt has no chance against Metagross! Attack with Pyschic!" Bluesix ordered. The eyes of Metagross began to glow as it formed a huge multi-colored orb of immense Pyschic energy from its mouth and projected it at Sneasel. "Dodge it!" Sneasel leaped into the air as the ball streamed towards Wes. And once it was inches from him, He lifted his foot and kicked the attack straight into the stands with a loud crash. The blue cipher only stared, breathtaken from what the First Hero had done. "How'd ya-" "Your pokemon is weak. It doesn't stand a chance against us." Chase stood with Rui amazed at Wes' actions. He definently had changed from the last time he met him. "He's...strong." "Hmph," Rui swaggered. "Of course my baby is." "Sneasel!" Wes bellowed. "Shadow Claw!" The right claw on Sneasel's paw began to darken as if dipped in oil. And with the same speed as before, the small pokemon jumped into the air and was a bullet as it trained straight through Metagross bursting out of the bottom. Pieces of metal shrouded the ground all over beneath Metagross. It's red eyes turned dull grey and it slid to the ground in a heavy drop. The pokemon was dead. The cipher only stood in place with his mouth open unable to take in what had happend. "Metagross?" He uttered approaching his deceased pokemon. "No. No! NO! BASTARD! YOU KILLED MY POKEMON!" "I told you from the beginning that you could still walk away didn't I?" Wes shouted back. "Had you taken my offer, your pokemon would still be alive. This is your last chance; leave now or forever hold your peace." "No!" Bluesix walked over to his sword and pulled it out of the ground. The cold air surronding it was growing. An icy fog was radiating from Bluesix. "Thanx to my Master I have been granted the powers of ice and water. I'll freeze you all to death! DIE!" From the tip of the blade a beam of white was shot out and it trailed towards Wes. Then there was an explosion. Smoke rose from where Wes stood. "I killed him? I...I did it...That's for Metagross!" "Was it now?" A voice said. From the rising smoke the black coat and tall figure stood in place. Wes was unharmed. A black crackling swirl of darkness was coiling around his left arm. From the blackness formed a long humped blade at the end of his hand and the weapon hardened as a shoulder pad with another blade on the end materialized. "What-is-tha-" "I give you my special toy; my Entangler." Wes announced. "Some sort of Weapon? It still is no match against this supreme sword of mine. Here! I'll show you." Bluesix ran towards Wes and swung horizontally but Wes countered and slashed at the katana with his own weapon. And with ease like scissors to paper, the blue sword was cut in half. Wes finished with a quick roundhouse to Bluesix's face and he was knocked all the way into the lower stands with a loud crash. "No way." Chase said. "He just kicked him like he was nothing." "That's Wes for you." Rui commented. "What kinda vacation did yall go on?" "Don't worry about it!" Rui snapped. Bluesix appeared airborne, landing in the arena no longer holding his katana. Blood leaked from the side of his mouth. "Damn. This isn't over." From his hands he was forming something long. Something that was beginning to sharpen. A spear. "This is the end." And the Hexagon member launched it with all his might towards Wes. But in mid flight it shattered as a quick object rushed passed it. Sneasel then zipped quickly back to its master. "Nice work Snease." Bluesix dropped to his knees. He couldn't win. He just realized it. His pokemon was dead, his sword destroyed and no matter what he did, it failed him. This man was more than he heard of. There was a reason to why he was could the First Hero, The Snagger. But all that talk from Sir Ardos about how he could handle The Snagger...was it all a lie? "Don't you realize it yet. Your authorities sent you here as a little thing in my way." Bluesix looked to him. "What're you saying?" "You're just a decoy. You're just here to slow me down. Nothing More." The strange weapon on Wes' left arm, the Entangler vanished in a quick black flash. "No. This can't be." "It's the only purpose you had." Wes turned to Rui and Chase. "This fight is over. Let's go. Sneasel return." Once Sneasel was withdrawn, Rui and Chase joined Wes and they all walked passed Bluesix who was still in a state of shock from Wes' conclusion on why he was still here. Sir Ardos had lied. He filled his head with false confidence. In fact he was also lied to by his older brother. What if his other five brothers were also lied to? Then in an eye-blink of an instant someone was standing in front of him. Wes was gone but now another black figure was here. Much like Bluesix, this soldier was wearing black armor, similar to his own. But the only difference was he wore a long black thin scarf around his neck. "I can't believe what just happend." The sadistic voice said. "You just let him pass you like that. This is why I ranked you last in the Hexagon Squad...brother." Bluesix looked up. He was here. That meant he was going to be punished. "Please, br-brother don't hurt me." "Hurt you?" He laughed. A laugh that sent a horrifying chill down Bluesix's spine. "I'm not going to hurt. No not that." Bluesix felt much more relieved. But then he couldn't move. He could feel his legs rising off of the ground. He was floating in mid-air. "No not hurt you little brother." The blue cipher tried to move, but not a single muscle responded. "Huh? What're you doing? No! Please don't. Stop! STOP-" BOOM! A huge explosion occured. It was like there was a bomb implanted on Bluesix and the black soldier had pressed the button, detonating him. There was no body or armor left. Just blood and a stained helmet all over the ground. Flames lit up the ground and smoke ascended. Meanwhile Wes heard and felt the blast and turned back to the colosseum. He busted down the doors only to see something like that shaped of a shadow- black human fade within the smoke. He looked at the ground and saw the helmet. That was all that remained save for the blood which coated the grey ground. "What da hell was dat?" Chase hollered. "I...don't...know." Was all Wes managed to mutter. "Someone just killed him." Rui said. Wes turned back. "Let's go, there's no need to stay here." "But he was just-" "A decoy Rui. There's nothing we can do. He's not even a body anymore. C' Mon!" *** The last fragment created from the two rulers that dealt with them was all that was left... The anxiousness to attack... To kill... Only a matter of time... *** Wes saw the double doors ahead and punched them clean off their hinges, causing them to flip into the darkness. Ahead of them were towering dark metal doors. These doors usually opened by approaching them as if grocery store doors. Wes thought he'd have to pry them open but once the three of them walked to it, the doors opened with a constant metal screeching of old rusted metal. Can't believe they still work. The next hallway was short and darkness only continued onward- Suddenly a loud thundering rumble reverberated throughout The Under. In front of them was a sort of saucer. "The old UFO transportation craft." Wes stated. "You think it still works?" Rui asked. Wes shrugged. "Most likely not, it's been so long. But let's at least give it a try. Get on." The trio stepped onto the saucer and for a second, nothing happened. But then they realized nothing seemed to be happening because the saucer was ascending at a snail's pace. It took them a minute to realize they were going up. Slowly but surely. Higher and higher the UFO saucer ascended and soon it rised to the tip top. Then here they were, at the undergound city directly beneath the town of Pyrite; The Under. Wes, Rui, and Chase viewed what had become of the old city which were just ruins now. They saw all of the old remerable places. Chase turned to see the herb shop, and the studio which a past Cipher Administrator used to air. Directly behind him was the small reception center which behind those doors would lead to the Under's Colosseum. Rui stared at the large cinema sized screen on the wall which was no longer functioning, the once visited Poke Mart, and the small motel building. She also saw the junk shop next door to the motel. Wes turned from the junk shop and took a long look at the Kids Grid house. It used to be the home of the his little buddies: Nett, Secc, and Megg who always kept him updated on how many shadow pokemon he'd have to snag back in the old days when he was still the Snagger, the First Hero. The aged rusted satellite had fallen to the ground broken in many peices and places. But it was not that one house that he was looking at anymore. They were at the Under which meant they were here at the place where the Shadow Pokemon were going to break through. Behind the junk shop and the motel was a vast sight; a large peice of silver alloy was the only thing left blocking a purple and black swirling abyss, some sort of dimension. The gateway to the XD; Xtra Dimension was in front of them. The silver alloy blocking the one piece of the abyss seemed to have been wedged into the earth at the top left, the rest left to dangle like a nearly decapitated limb. "Stay here." Wes commanded them. Wes walked down the stairs, passed the stores and approached the abyss in front of him. He could feel some sort of gravitional pull as if it where trying to grab him into the darkness. Scattered among the entire vicinity were the rest of the silver metallic piece of what Wes realized used to be the shield that once policed the dimension of the Shadow Pokemon. This was it, the spot where he'd have to try and stop them. Clink! Wes looked up and dove out of the way. The last peice of the shield had landed right where he stood shattering in thousands of little pieces. Wes crouched on one knee feeling a powerful gust of wind blowing from the abyss now, blowing his black coat and hair around. The last segment had fallen. The shield was gone. The Xtra Dimension was open. The terrors within were free. Again. And inside was what would be the end of everything as he knew it unless he tried to stop it. From the vast wormhole: arms, claws, paws, wings, legs of all types along with their pokemon bodies began to emerge from all ends and angles of the purple and black darkness. They were coming, escaping their long and old prison. Winged pokemon of all sorts took flight. The rest fell from the height of the Xtra Dimension. All kinds of pokemon from little bulbasaurs and pikachu to large aggron and blaziken. Wes turned back and began running his fastest to Rui and Chase, their safety making his legs move faster. "Wes!" Rui exclaimed. "I know! We gotta-" "Look!" Chase shouted. One of the Shadow Pokemon, a blaziken which was a tall humaniod fire pokemon with claws and a tough physqique blasted a fire ball from its fanged mouth. Usually, a blaziken had red and tan fur. But this was a Shadow Pokemon. It was an all black and purple fiend from head to toe with dark evil purple eyes. The fire ball itself was a as black as shadows training towards them like a bullet. Wes inhaled as before, focusing and thrusting his arm forward, a pulse wave of wind burst from the palm of his hand and it dissipated the shadow flames. Chase looked at what Wes had done. "That was-" "Let's go-" Wes grabbed both Chase and Rui by their wrists and jumped back down the cliff the UFO saucer had originally been. The fall was long and once they collided with the ground, all three rolled with their falls. "-keep movin'." The three of them passed the over sized double metal doors and through the opening Wes had punched the doors through. Continuing hearing the mulitiple cries, roars, shrieks and other calls from the numerous dark monstrosities. The blood splattered stained spot where Bluesix had mysteriously been slaughtered remained along with his lone helmet which again was the only thing that was left of him. But they had caught up with them. The hundreds of black skinned, furred, and scaled and purple eyed fiends had pursued them in seconds. Wes, Rui, and Chase turned seeing them gaining on them. Wes grabbed two pokeballs. "GO! DON'T LOOK BACK EITHER!" Rui and Chase took off not knowing what Wes would do but they had to trust him sense their lives depended on it. Even if he was one man against over a hundred monstrous abominations. Wes ejected from the pokeballs, Umbreon and Espeon. They saw what was closing in on them, eyes wide each. "Yeah I know. Now, bring up a shield to hold 'em off." Espeon used pyschic supremacy while Umbreon used dark powers to create an intense force field blocking the multitude of black monsters that were supposed to be pokemon. Wes used some of his own dark energy from his shadow summoned Entangler from his left arm. But he could see that the shield was weakening. In various places the elemental shield was cracking. And it shattered as if it were glass. The pyschic, dark energy had failed and they were all like a tsunami about to crush the three of them to death. About to bring them to their demise... Inches from them, Wes grabbed both cats and hugged them tightly and closed his eyes, praying. Then there was silence. No roaring, cries. No pokemon sounds of any kind. Wes opened one eye. They were gone. Only thing left was a large haze of blackish purple drifting among them. Then the black smoke-like cloud retreated back to the door opening and back up to the Under. Back to the Xtra Dimension. The Shadow Pokemon were gone. Wes was bewildered but at the same time was relieved to see that they were gone. Releasing his grip on his pokemon he returned them to their pokeballs. Turning back, Wes ran towards the tunnel. Sprinting, concerned for Rui and Chase, mostly Rui. Wes came back outside to see them waiting for them hands on knees still hyperventilating. The nite had grown a little bit colder and to go with everything that had just happended it didn't help them feel any better. "You guys okay?" Wes asked. They nodded silently. Wes understood that they were shaken from the events that had occured. The late nite sky seemed a bit more darker than usual. "Well we need to get out of here." Wes announced. "We gotta get back to the town." Rui said. "No. We need to see someone who can let us stay for the night. The motel is closed and we shouldn't bother Duke with Fateen in her condition. Plus, her house isn't big enough for the three of us. I know. Espeon..." Wes brought back out his pink cat of pyschic power from his pokeball in bright luster. "Take us to Phenac City." And Espeon teleported them out the trench in a bright pink and white burts of light *** Michael and Cail entered the cave as the music was as loud as can be. Two men were lounging on chairs ahead. One man was about the same height as Michael with short blonde hair. He wore orange shades, a blue zip up fleece vest and a black long-sleeved shirt underneath with jeans. The second man also wore a blue zip up vest. On his head was a black winter hat and navy blue shades. His cargo caprees were baggier than the other man's which Michael noticed they both looked very similar to one another and familiar. The blonde stood up and turned to his left into another hallway. The other man stood up and approached Michael. He noticed strapped to his waist was one pokeball. "Hey." "Yeah?" Michael said. The man viewed his watch. "It's twelve-ten. You're a little late. The boss was gettin' worried. I'm not sure if you remember me but my name's-" "Trudly. Of course I remember you." "Oh." "And your twin brother Folly." Michael added. "I remember you both." "Well, then C' Mon." Trudly waved to them to follow him. They followed where the other man, Folly had gone and turned into a room much larger than the previous area, large enough for a battle to take place. This was the source of the booming music. In the center of the room was someone dancing. The most bizarre thing about this man was that he had one large afro, red on one side and white on the other seperated by a zig-zagged lining. He spun around moving with the beat. He too wore a pair of shades. His pants were skin tight, jacket open exposing an athletic bare chest and one glove on his left hand. "Oh look who it is." He sang in a cool laid back voice. "Mirror B." Michael stated. "I figured it was you when I saw Trudly and Folly and heard the music." "It's been awhile since I've battled you. I've been training my buddies for this day." "For seven years?" Michael asked. "I was chillin' too." Mirror B explained. "But", he unclipped a pokeball from his waist saying, "it's time for that rematch Michael." "You really serious about this?" Michael asked making sure this was what Mirror B wanted. "Of course." "Alright, Cail back it up a bit." Cail moved away giving Michael much more space standing next to Trudly and Folly. "Alright then." Mirror B moonwalked towards the sterio and changed the music. The beat had more of a disco type of rhythem. "Let's battle and let the music play! Guest first." "Fine, go Jolteon." Michael tossed a pokeball which had a yellow lightning bolt insignia on it. As it opened the yellow and white feline electric pokemon emerged. His ears were rabbit-like and the fur was more like needles. The pokemon also had a white series of needle-fur around his neck. "Alright come on out Electrode." It could be said that this pokemon was a much larger beach ball sized pokeball but with the red on the bottom and white on top. The only thing other than the color reversal was that this pokemon had a face with a swaggering smile. "Roll Out." Mirror B sang. The pokeball pokemon charged forward gaining speed as it rolled faster than a tire down hill towards Jolteon. "Back up againt the wall, Jolt." Michael said. Jolteon trotted backwards until its rear nearly touched the wall. "Wait for it...now Jump!" Jolteon leaped directly over Electrode and it crashed into the wall completly stopping its momentum. "Hmm, smooth one." Mirror B assumed. "Thanx, now Jolt, use Thunder Bolt!" "Roll out of the way." Mirror B said. Electrode rolled out of the little indention it created and dodged the burst of yellow sparking lightning which missed and exploded in a small blast. "Now, Hyper Beam!" From its big mouth, Electrode exhaled a wide and long trailing beam of multi- colored energy which nearly hit Jolteon had it not avoided the blast by the command of his master. "Quick Attack!" Jolteon used his incredible speed and tackled into Electrode making it roll around into another side of the wall. "Again." And Jolteon attacked once more, this time, knocking out the oversized pokeball pokemon. Mirror B didn't seem too surprise. If anything his raised eyebrows were a sign of being impressed. He smiled looking at the Second Hero, Michael. "Not bad old buddy. But this is just the beginning. Alright Sudowoodo." From the next pokeball another Pocket Monster emerged. This one was a four foot brown humaniod creature with green marraca-like shaped hands. Its body looked solid as rock. The tall black eyes of the pokemon were full of ambition and anxiousness to battle. "Go! Rock Blast!" Sudowoodo stomped the ground with one of its little oval shaped feet and a small boulder popped up from the spot leaving a little crater behind. The rock pokemon using its powers launched the rock into Jolteon before it had a chance to evade it and was hit. The boulder shattered in numerous earthern shards. The attack looked like it really hurt. "You okay Jolt?" Michael asked his pokemon. It stood up, legs shaking alittle. It nodded silently. "Okay, Thunder Bolt!" Sparking electricity surged through Jolteon's body and several bolts of jagged lightning trailed towards Sudowoodo and struck its rock hard body slightly causing damage. "Not very effective, Michael. Sudowoodo, use Rock Slide!" From Mirror B's command, the rock pokemon waved its arm. For the first few seconds, there was nothing. Suddenly, cracks diffused along the earthen ceiling causing large chunks of rock and stone to rain over Jolteon, completely shrouding it in the wreckage. "Jolt!" Michael yelled. Cail, Trudly, and Folly all looked surpised, that attack could have really hurt Jolteon. One large brown rock rolled to the ground and from the space, Jolteon crawled out of it slowly. Banged and dingy, the electric feline shuffled to his trainer falling over on his side. It's body turned bright red and was absorbed in the pokeball. "Nice work buddy." "Alright, go, Vaporeon." Vaporeon arrived from his pokeball and seemed delighted to battle a rock pokemon. "Water Pulse!" Vaporeon from its mouth shot out pulsing waves of water at Sudowoodo who didn't have time to react and was knocked back in a splash. "Dang it. A water pokemon." Mirror B said. "Sudowoodo, Rock Blast." Sudowoodo once again stomped the ground raising a boulder into the air and forced it at Vaporeon. "Ricochet." Vaporeon summoned its cobalt shield which was much smaller than the last he used on Robotic Groudon. The rock slammed into the force field, pausing in mid-air. Then as before, it propelled at double the speed into Sudowoodo's chest shattering. Sudowoodo stood only to see a long trailing cylindar of water trailing in its direction knocking it down again, this time knocking it out. Mirror B returned the pokemon and brought the final pokeball. "Okay, here's the last pokemon on my side. Dragonite." Mirror B opened the pokeball and from it shaped the six foot tall tan dragon pokemon with the medium sized scaly wings. Its face looked friendly for a dragon with the little sharp horn on the top of its head and antennas, one on each side of its head. "Dragon Rage." Red sparkles of glittering specks enshrouded its entire body as it used its wings to fly at an incredible speed towards Vaporeon, tackling it hard. Vaporeon was bashed into the wall but quickly regained itself. "Blizzard!" From its mouth, a powerful wind, snow, and ice unavoidable attack was headed towards Dragonite but it flapped its wings once and was airborne. "Wing Attack!" Dragonite soared towards the water cat and was slapped across the face by one of its wings, then directly after Dragonite flew back upwards to where it previously was. "Take him out, Ice Beam!" Michael commanded. A trailing jagged blue beam pursued the tan dragon but- "Dragon Burst!" Mirror B called. The dragon began to glow a red energy-like aura. It's eyes flared red as well and it suddenly let out an orb of energy from around its body, radius spreading out more and more striking the marine pokemon. Suddenly a white mist filled the room from floor to ceiling. Mirror B knew that even if Dragonite managed to defeat Vaporeon, there was still one more pokemon left; Flareon most likely. Plus Dragon Burst injured the user a little bit, so he shouldn't use that move again for awhile. "Sub Zero..." Came a low voice. Mirror B could see through the mist which was lifting, a slow moving white fog was latching onto Dragonite like some sort of parasitic orginsim, encasing the pokemon's legs, arms, wings, belly, and finally its head. Dragonite's body turned cold white and fell stiff as a board to the ground. Dragonite did not move, as if frozen solid. The dancing pokemon trainer ran to his pokemon. What sort of attack? The mist cleared more and he could see Michael running to Dragonite. "What did you do to my pokemon?" Mirror B asked concerned. "He's been frozen solid. Here," Michael pulled from a back pocket a red medicine. "Squeeze some of that special medicine into his nostrils. His mouth is frozen shut so that's the only way it can get through his body." Mirror B obeyed, and looked at the Second Hero waiting for the next instructions. "Just put him in his pokeball. He'll be fine. It'll thaw him. A regular burn healing potion wouldn'tve done the trick." "Thanx so much Michael." "Anytime, Mirror B-" There was a sudden rumble somewhere in the distance. An earthquake? "What was that?" Trudly asked approaching Mirror B and Michael, Folly and Cail close behind. "No clue." Mirror B answered. "Michael?" "I don't know. We should get going. I don't feel safe here anymore. Something's happened. C' mon!" The five men left the den and came out to feel another tremor. Whatever it was, it was growing more violent. Michael couldn't even come up with a logical explanation about what was happening. Crossing the ice-made bridge(Cail who fell again), they came to the area where Michael and Cail briefly parted to check the rooms and he heard a constant thudding of something against the door he entered. It was the same door where Michael locked up the wild seviper. The doors bust open, plank board splitting in half and the snake pokemon glared at Michael with an apparent anger for being locked in the door. But before it could do anything, a wormhole warped above seviper, a blackish purple haze drifted towards it, latching onto its scales, its body began to alter in shape and color immediatley. The haze acted like a parasite bonding with seviper. Hissing in utter pain, the haze seemed to cause much grief. Michael at first felt sympathetic as he and the others didn't know what was happening. But sympathizing for the wild pokemon was a mistake because seviper was beginning to grow. It was growing much larger than a normal sized snake. It was turning into a giant oversized basalisk. It's two front fangs began to lengthen as if it were a smiledon. The scales sharpened and turned black, the tip of its tail turning into a purple arrow shaped weapon. The fangs and tail dripped with purple oozing toxin. With unimaginable speed its head bolted forwad towards Michael who jumped back avoiding its more than deadly fangs. "CAIL! GET 'EM OUTTA HERE FROM THE WAY WE CAME! HURRY!" Michael summoned the Annihilater in a quick white blink. The dark mutant pokemon which at this point wouldn't and shouldn't be called a pokemon lifted its serpentine head up and saw that its only target was its orginal target. Great! At first you squeal in pain, now you're using that strange power to your advantage. Michael leaped towards its snake snout and swung a fist into its giant head, punching it into the doors behind it. The snake was about forty feet long and as thick as a tree trunk. Michael turned from the monstrous serpent and followed to where Cail had lead the others to their escape. Michael climbed the slope and saw that they were waiting for him. "C' MON! I don't think I killed it-" But the monster of a pokemon spoke for its self as its slick, slender body was big enough to fit through the tunnel. "GO!" Michael shouted. The hero jumped over the Snake's head landing on it's slippery scaling back. Scanning the whole body for a weak spot using his headset, Michael found it and realized he'd have to target the skull and just kill it instantly. Michael ran along the body and came to the head. Just as he was about to crush the top of it's head using the Annihilater, the arrow shape tail lunged nearly from nowhere and struck Michael hard in the back throwing him like a rag doll in front of Mirror B, Trudly, Folly, and Cail. Blood was pouring out from the indented hole in his back from the stab along with the virulent liquid. Michael was down and out for the count, face buried into the ground. Seviper quickly moved in on him and threw its head towards his back but a long trailing beam of multi-colored energy hit it in the face. Sticking its forked tongue hissing loudly, it looked to see that it was a pokemon. And a three and a half foot tall white furred pokemon had arrived with a tall red hooded man. A zangoose, a biped mongoose pokemon with a red slick fur design on its right eye, right ear and paws was by his side. "Hyper Beam! Along the ceiling!" Zangoose exhaled another beam of searing power towards the ceiling. The beam drilled throughout the ceiling, large series of chiseled down rocks and stone began to pummel, burying the abnormal seviper until not a single scale was left. The man picked up Michael, slung him on his broad shoulder shouting, "COME WITH ME!" He ran to the end of the tunnel, Zangoose close behind, the others following him. *** In an illuminating flash, three humans and a pokemon appeared out of thin air. Wes withdrew Espeon and told them to follow him. Silently making their way through the quiet town, they walked around the central fountain which wasn't functioning at the moment, walking up the stairs. The entire town's roads and sidewalks consisted of golden brown brick concrete. Wes turned to his left ignoring the center building which was the city's pre-gym. They came to the house to the eastern most side of the town. Wes knocked on the door seeing that on the second floor, a TV's light was blinking steadily. For the first few minutes there was quietness. But Wes could hear heavy footsteps coming downstairs, the click of the door unlocking, and it swung open. A man about Wes' height with longish purple hair and eyes stared at them. He was wide awake but confused to see visitors knocking on his door as late as it was. The man was robed and wearing pajamas. "Can I help you?" Wes smiled. "You mean you don't remember us Justy?" Rui asked smiling as well. "Oh my God! Na-ah. Wes! Rui! It can't be. It is! C' min." As they entered, Justy shut and locked the door. He put the pokeball he had gripped in his right hand back on the desk. Wes eyed it, head cocked sideways. "Hey I don't have a gun so my pokemon is all I got for protection." "Hey I understand." "Wow, look at you two. Looking great." Justy turned to Chase and shook his hand. "Justy." He introduced. "Name's Chase." Chase returned. "So what's up, why come so late?" Justy asked getting to the point. "We need a place to stay." Wes confessed also out with it. Justy's home was simply more of an office with a TV and a soft looking couch and recliner nearby. There was an office desk with a book shelf behind it. The stairs lead up to where the TV was on, most likely Justy's bedroom. Justy turned on the desk's lamp and sat on the edge of his desk. "Wher've you guys been since ya got here." "Long story." Wes said shortly. "Really. Well it's late, nearly two in the morning. We'll talk tommorrow. Wow. You two are back after so long. Hang on a sec." Justy went back upstairs. Moments later he came back downstairs with sheets and pillows. "Guess you guys are gonna sleep on the couches." "I'll just sleep in the chair." Chase said. "Thanx again for letting us spend the night on such short notice." Wes thanked. "No prob. I'll see you guys tommorrow, or later today I guess." Justy joked. So the light went off. Chase pulled up the leg rest and pushed back against the recliner and curled up falling asleep. Rui did the same, crashing on the crouch in Wes' arms. Wes took a little longer falling asleep with all the drama that had happened tonight. So it began... Cipher... Real Shadow Pokemon... It only seemed that they just came back and after one day, he was already putting his powers to work. What was next? Team Snagem? Wes chuckled at his joke. He did though manage to drifted to sleep for the rest of the nite. *** The tall black figure dressed in a plum colored cloak stared into the ominous heavens. His silver strings of long hair drifted slowly in the windless air as if it were alive. His eyes were glowing frighteningly. His entire eyes were completely blazing brightly. He grinned evilly feeling the darkness which had unleashed for a brief moment and then vanished as soon as it had come. He could feel it. That sweet sinister supremacy which he possesed. And the power of Shadow Pokemon. This time he was not going to fail. All of the inventions that were being made would help him take over Orre, then Kanto, the Johto, then Hoenn, and soon the rest of the world would fall swiftly in the palm of his hand. End_of_Part_3_______________________________________________________ My Pokemon Techniques: Dragon Burst:(Used by Dragonite) The user stores in a mystical dragon power which it let's out in a radius of deadly flaring energy. If used irrisponsibly, the user could be killed using this attack. Sub Zero: (Used by Vaporeon) An extremely dangerous technique that produces a parasitic ice cloud which bonds with the victim and freeze the pokemon from inside out. If not treated immediately, the pokemon will permanently turn into pure ice. Thanx for reading the third chapter
