Today was Gary's sixteen birthday and he wanted to become a researcher now but 
his grandfather, Professor Oak, thought it was best that Gary travel the world 
for now. Now a new Pokemon trainer, who was also a young sixteen year old and 
named Stephanie, was going to get her first pokemon from Professor Oak at this 
exact moment. "Oh, I forgot a new trainer is coming to get her first pokemon" 
Professor Oak said. "But grandpa it's my birthday!" Gary pleaded. "I know and 
I'm sorry but I'll be right back" he said. Gary looked down but he knew it was 
for the best. Gary decided to go see Ash while he waited. Ash was home today but 
only for a short while for soon he would be off on another Pokemon journey. Gary 
said hi to Mrs. Ketchum and asked to see Ash but she said he was gone already. 
Sad Gary headed back to his party. Professor Oak had come back by then and said 
he had to cut the party short for it was quite late now. Gary sadly walked to 
his room and went to sleep. Now Stephanie had a long, romantic, loving 
relationship with James of Team Rocket. James broke up with her when he found 
out he was in love with Jessie. Stephanie had obtained a nickname, which was 
Steph.
