"Two Worlds, Two Loves, and One Adventure" A Pokemon/Inu-yasha crossover Chapter Two: "Meeting for the First Time" "Listen. We'll find a way. So just quit crying, okay." Inu-yasha said in a somewhat comforting voice. "Okay." Kagome whimpered. Elsewhere, "Did you hear someone crying Ash?" Misty asked Ash. "Yeah. It's getting louder. We must be close. Misty, stay behind me, I'll protect you." Ash said, listening hard all the while. "Thanks Ash." Misty said, a pink tinge coming to her cheeks. "Don't mention it." Ash said, blushing. Ash bravely walked into the clearing where Kagome and Inu- yasha were. Misty stepped from behind Ash and knelt down beside Kagome, while Ash and Inu-yasha eyed each other apprehensively. "Are you alright?" Misty asked, concerned. "Yeah, I guess. What's your name?" Kagome questioned. "It's Misty. What's yours?" "Kagome Hiragashi" "Nice to meet you Kagome. So why were you crying?"asked Misty, again concerned. "It's a long story. By the way, this is Inu-yasha." introduced Kagome. "Oh yeah, this is Ash." Misty said, nudging Ash, wanting him to go shake hands with Inu-yasha. "Er . . . nice to meet you." Inu-yasha said awkwardly, extending a hand. "Nice to meet you too, Inu- yasha." Ash smiled and said, taking Inu-yasha extended hand and shaking it. "Why don't you come back to our camp?" Ash suggested. "Thanks." Kagome shakily replied, not giving Inu-yasha a chance to say no. Just then they heard crying. Ash and Misty looked at each other. "Togepi." Ash muttered and took off, while Misty shouted to Kagome and Inu-yasha to follow them. They ran for roughly two minutes before they came to the camp. They immediately saw the problem. Togepi was clinging to a branch fifty feet above the fastest part of the river that ran into the lake and Pikachu was having trouble getting Togepi down. "Togepi." Misty quietly said, falling to her knees. "Don't worry Mist. I'll get Togepi for you."Ash calmly declared. Meanwhile Kagome and Inu-yasha were completely lost as to what kind of creature Pikachu and Togepi were. Ash was about 25 to 30 feet in the air. He got up to Togepi, grabbed it, and slipped. Thinking fast, Inu-yasha jumped, grabbed ash and Togepi, and landed safely on the other side of the river. "Jeez, that was close. Thanks Inu-yasha!"Ash said. "That's okay. It was pretty brave of you to climb up that tree." Inu-yasha commented. "I'd do anything for Misty." Ash said sincerely. "Ditto. [Ha ha! I couldn't resist. Please excuse my wacky sense of humor.] Kagome's everything to me, of course I don't intend on telling her that." Inu-yasha said. "Me neither."Ash laughed, referring to his own feelings for Misty. They traveled back across the river to where the girls were waiting. Back at the camp, after the fire was started, Misty and Kagome, with some help from Ash, cooked dinner. They chatted idly for a while as they ate. Ash and Inu-yasha were become good friends, as were Kagome and Misty. After dinner, the girls insisted that Ash and Inu-yasha do the dishes. After the dishes were done, the conversation turned serious. Disclaimer: I not own Pok'emon or Inu-yasha, so get off my back. Author's notes: There, now that I have that off my chest. First I'd like to say that I know Inu-yasha's character is kinda weird at the moment, but he sound better in the third chapter, at least in my opinion. And may I also state that I do intend to make Inu-yasha and Kagome into a couple, along with Ash and Misty. You just have to wait until chapter 4b for the romantic stuff. Oh and one last thing. Togepi and Pikachu won't appear much in the story from now on. I needed to get them out of the way so that the couples can get together.
