Poke'mon. Curse Of The Pikachu! Story by Teen Pichu of "The Pokemon Tower", www.thepokemontower.com Email: JiroKatsu86@aol.com (No I don't have any other email adress... Well, not anymore. :P) I'm in no way an official owner of Pokemon and it's characters. Needlles to say really. Episode [Birth of Daniel-Chu?] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------ Daniel reaches into his pocket and pulled out a bag that held some kind of white clay like substance and took out just a small bit of it that barely covered the top of his finger. Closing the bag and wiping the substance onto the door, taking two small wires from his shirt pocket he carefully put them in place, one red crossed to the right and a blue one crossed to the left overlapping the red wire. He then continued to tie onto the red wire a thin piece of some kind of string that stretched out ten feet long. Taking out a lighter he bent down to where he had left the string laying and lit it on fire. As soon as the fire got near the string was lit and burned through the ten feet in matter of second. Once it hit the red wire it started to heat up fast and in two second the wire was on fire heating up both the clay substance and the blue wire. Within 5 second the clay had heated up enough to the point it finally blow making a small explosion, though it barely damaged the door it's self it did however open it up. "Now we're getting somewhere." Daniel said as he observed his handy work. Walking though the big door that was opened up he looked around the room that it led to. It was covered from top to bottom with statues and carvings of Pikachu and Pichu. Daniel looked at the carvings on the walls and the statues as he got a weird vibe about the room. "This place... is kinda... creepy... Maybe I shouldn't be in heeeck!?" He looked over in the middle of the room where a pure gold statue of a Pikachu stood. He approached it and was captivated by the statue. But after getting close to it his attention went to something esle. In a golden bowl that sat at the feet of the pikachu statue, there was a giant diamond that was twice the size of a base ball. "Oh I must'a don something good in a past life... Cant imagine what it was.... But this is just to good to be true!" Little did he know just how right he was... Daniel reached into the bowl and grasped the diamond in his hand and lifted it up out of the bowl and brought it to his face. "Man," he exclaimed with awe in his voice. "this is a huge diamond... It's gott'a be worth 10,000,000 easy..." The diamond suddenly light up with an electric energy and before Daniel had time to react, he was thrown back hard into the wall behind him by a powerfully shock wave that came from the diamond. 'That hurt', was the last think he thought before darkness creped in and took over his visions. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------ "In here." a familiar voice shouted in the darkness. "I found the holy chamber." "M-Mythas...?" Daniel said weakly as he fought to get back up. But his body just wouldn't respond. It was like his body was under a giant wait that was pressing him to the ground to keep him from moving. "John, where is your brother with all our samples?" Mythas asked with some anger in his voice. "Dunno." John replied plainly. "He probably just up and left knowing him." 'Jerk...' Daniel thought as he lay there. He also wandered why no one had noticed him laying there unmoving on the ground. He must have been knocked pretty close to the door. It wouldn't take this long to see him there. He could see some color beginning to come though the darkness. Then the colors slowly began to form blurry shapes. Soon Daniel could see everyone looking around the chamber he broke into. Though he seemed to have his sight back he still could not move his body. He tried to speak but he just couldn't get anything out. "What have we here?" the familiar voice of Komeso said suddenly as Daniel saw his brown dirt crusted boots coming closer to him. 'Took long enough ya old....' Daniel said to himself in silent thought. Then he felt like he was being lifted up by a pair of hands. 'Is this Komeso's doing? No. He's not strong enough to left me with this much ease.' he thought but then felt his whole body leaving the ground beneath him. He was being lifted to Komeso's face, but there was a few things wrong with that. One Komeso isn't THAT much taller then him, and he's to heavy for this old guy to pick him straight off the ground like this. "Hello there little fella." Komeso said in a tone you'd normally talk to a baby or a pet, witch was a way of talking that annoyed Daniel like nothing else. "What are you doing here?" "What the heck are you talking about...?" Daniel was finally able to say out loud. "Your a cute little one. I wish I knew what you were saying." "Huh?" Daniel said with a confused stare, then felt his ears strangely twitch back and forth. 'I can move a little?' he thought as he felt his body start to respond better more and more, but he still felt really weak. "Darn that brother of yours. He better of not lost all the samples we've been collecting." Mythas said with an annoyed grumble. "Hey!" Daniel spoke up defensively. "I'm right here you jerk!" "Komeso," Mythas walked over to his side. "where did this little one come from?" "Little one?" Daniel was kinda short but not that short. Then he thought everyone did seems a bit taller somehow. Then the reality of everything hit him all at once. He moved his head to look him self over. Small body covered in yellow fur, short fury arm's, and what looked like a tail swinging under him... 'IT IS A TAIL!!!' He realized the lighting bolt shaped tail was attacked to... HIM!! He felt like going berserk but his little body just still felt to weak to make any kind of real struggle against Komeso's grip on him, even though he was holding him with a really gentle hold. Then he suddenly felt tired again like all the shock hitting him at once just tired his already exhausted body. Then the familiar darkness began to come over him again. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------ Warm. This feeling that he suddenly became aware of. It was like a soft and gentle touch. It made Daniel feel really calm. He felt strength return to his muscles. He soon began to open his eye's. Every thing was blurry at first, but then things began to come into focus. He saw he was in a room with pearly white walls and some metal tables with what looked like operating tools on it. "I must be in a hospital." he concluded. The warm feeling soon left him but returned just a moment later, this time it moved up and down his chest, like he was being petted. "Your finally awake." a gentle female voice said, her voice was pleasing to the ears and gave a sense of security. Looking over to his side he saw a woman standing next to the side of the bed he was laying on. She looked familiar. Then it came back to him. This woman, with pinkish red hair and blue eye's that looked down at him kindly, she wore a white dress with a pink under shirt, a nurses hat with the red cross on it. Yeah. It was all coming back now. he did know her. She's Nurse Joy. They met a number of times. As she stood there smiling down at him he couldn't help but feel some sense of joy from looking at her beauty. So he really was at a hospital. Wait... Something suddenly popped in his head. Joy is a POKE'MON doctor, not a human one. But that would mean he was at a pokemon center. Why would they...? Soon he remembered everything that happened before he passed out back at the ruins. He seemed to lay there with a look of disbelieve in his eye's. He looked over to a mirror hanging on the wall just a few feet away from his bed. He just looked at his reflection with a blank stare for a few minutes. Nurse Joy put her hand on his little fury head with a look of worry coming upon her face. "What's the matter little one?" Daniel was unresponsive as he laid there on the white bed looking into the mirror. 'That ... that ... can't...' his thought's just seemed to wander around in his head as he stared into the glass. He was looking at himself, but it wasn't himself. It was a... a... "I'm a... I'm... I'M A PIKACHU!!!" he suddenly shot up. Nurse Joy was even more worried and confused at the same time as she tried to calm the pikachu she had been caring for. "Now just calm down." Nurse Joy said a little afraid that it may launch an electric attack and damage some equipment in the room. "There's no need to be alarmed. I'm here to help." she tried to reassure the pokemon. "Chansey, a little help please." she called out to her egg shaped pink pokemon whom came walking over to them. "Chan!" Chansey said looking at the pokemon on the table. Daniel just jerked his head back looking at the new pokemon who just joined them. "... I AM going nuts. I could have sworn I just understood you." he said with a disbelieving tone. "Well, of course you did." Chansey told him with a cute but strict voice. "Now calm down or you'll brake something!" Daniel just stood on the bed looking at Chansey like she just lifted a bus and tosses it through a building. "But your... a pokemon..." he muttered out. Chansey looked at him for a moment. "Yes, I am. Just like you." "I'm not a pokemon!" he said defensively as he turned his whole body around to face Chansey. "Really?" Chansey said dryly. "Then what are you, a walking talking cup holder?" she asked sarcastically. Daniel's new long pointy years twitched back and his eye's narrowed at her sarcasm. "No... I'm human." "Hah! That's a good one!" Chansey said with a slight giggle. But Daniel just glared at her. "Your not joking..." she added looking at him. "You must have hit your head pretty hard back there." "My head?" he said confused. Then rubbed the back of his head feeling a small lump in a bandage. That's right, he hit his head on the wall when he was forced back by that weird energy from the diamond. "The diamond...!?" he paused as if he just figured something out. "That weird light! It must have done this to me!" "What are you talking about...?" Chansey asked looking at him like he was insane. "That diamond turned me into a pikachu! I have to get back there and find it!" he shouted as he tried jumping off the bed. But his attempt was cut off by a pair a gloved hands grasping around his waist to hold him in place on the bed. Nurse Joy was holding him with some electric proof rubber gloves. "Let me go!" but his cries couldn't be understood by Nurse Joy. "Chansey," Nurse Joy called out to her pokemon. "use sweet kiss!" "Chansey!" her pokemon replied unleashing a heart shaped ball of pink energy that flew into the face of the pikachu Joy was holding. Daniel soon felt very sleepy after being hit with Chansey's sweet kiss attack. "Not ... again..." he muttered Sleepily before he fell on the white bed unconscious. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------ Nurse Joy whipped her forehead and let out a sigh of relief. "Good work Chansey." she complemented. "Chansey chan!" her pokemon replied happily. "That was quite a creative use of your pokemon's abilities." a man's voiced said as he walked in through the door. "Thanks, Mace." Joy turned around facing the man. He was a tall man, about 6'1" or so, he had a shaved head and brown eye's. He was wearing a blue flannel shirt with a white undershirt. He had dark blue jeans on with sneakers that matched his flannel shirt. "Heard you were working late again tonight. I bet your husband must be furies." he said playfully walking up to her. "Well, he'll just have to learn how to deal with it." Joy said equally as playfully as she put her hands on his chest and pulled herself far enough up to kiss him. After their lips had parted, Mace looked down at her with a smile. "I guess I will, huh?" "MAMA!!" a young girl shouted with joy as she came dashing into the room and gave Nurse Joy a leaping hug. The girl had the face of her mother, only much younger, and her long hair was let down to hang over her back. Her pink button up long shirt trailed behind her as she jumped into her mother arms. She was also wearing white jeans with pink sneakers that had a white stripe across each side of them. "Joy, did you have a good day today?" Nurse Joy asked with an inquiring smile upon her lips. "Yes, Mama!" she replied with big smile up at her mother. "A PIKACHU!!" she exclaimed with great delight. "Yes, Doctor Komeso brought it by a few hours ago." Nurse Joy explained. "It's got a pretty bad bump on it's head. But I fixed him all up." she added looking down at her 10 year old daughter with a smile. "That's cause your the best pokemon doctor of all!" she returned her mothers smile. Nurse Joy let out a small laugh. "Well, I wouldn't say the best." she said putting her hand in front of her mouth as she laughed. "But thank you for the complement." "Don't you have to get home and into bad?" her father, Mace, interrupted. "Aw. But I'm not even tired yet!" Joy said objectively. Nurse Joy kneeled down on one knee and put her hands on her daughter's shoulder's. "But don't you have a big day tomorrow?" "That's right." Joy answered with a finger on her chin. "I get my first pokemon tomorrow!" she said with her big joy filled grin. "I'm so pumped up about it that I don't think I can sleep!" "I'm sure you can try." her father said from behind her. "By the way, witch pokemon are you going to get?" "Uh?" she thought about it. "I don't know. Their all so awesome!!" "I'm sure you'll figure it out by tomorrow." Nurse Joy said reassuringly. "Treecko! Torchic! Mudkip! How can I pick just one?!" she shouted energetically. "You could always follow in your father's foot steps and get a fire type." Mace told her. "Hush." Nurse Joy looked up at him. "Let her decide this on her own. It's her future." "Yes, dear." "What about the Pikachu?" Joy asked her mother with wondering eye's. "You said the pokemon center was full already on the phone earlier. Your not just gonna leave it in the operating room are you?" Nurse Joy looked back at the pikachu asleep on the operating bed. "Well," she paused for a minute while thinking about it. "I guess we can bring it home with us." "Really?!" Joy looked at her mother with sparkles in her blue eye's. "You sure about that?" Mace asked doubtfully. "I saw the way it freaked out before. You sure it won't blow anything up with an electric attack?" he asked looking at the sleeping pokemon. "I'm sure it'll be fine." Nurse Joy reassured her husband. "It was just probably still a little dazed from the shock." Nurse Joy petted the pikachu on the back a few times before turning her gave back at her family. "I'm sure he'll behave after a good nights rest, specially after Chansey's sweet kiss." "Yeah! Mama's right!" Joy backed her mother up. "Well." Mace thought about it. Looking down at his daughter's face he let out a sigh of defeat. "All right. We'll take the little guy home with us." Joy let out a victory yell jumping in the air with a raised armed and her hand making the v sign for victory. "We're taking home a pikachu!" she picked up the sleeping pokemon in her arm's gently so as not to awaken him from his slumber. "This rules!" she said exited. "He can sleep with me tonight!" she said as she ran off. "Where did your daughter get so much energy?" Mace asked as he watched his daughter fly off out of the room. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------ "You sure Officer Jenny?" John asked the woman on the phone in his and his brother's family house just in the outskirts of town. "Okay. Call if you hear anything. Yeah, thanks. bye." Click. hanging up the phone and putting on arm up against the wall and leaned on it. "It's not like him to just up and disappear without getting in trouble in a matter of minutes. When he does this, I usually pick him up down at the police station. But they say they haven't seen him all day...very odd." He lifted his arm from the wall and walked into the kitchen and looked at the pile of clothes sitting on the chair at the table. They were all that they found of Daniel in the ruins. Those and all his pokemon too. "I don't like it." John said sitting down on a chair and putting his elbows on the table and resting his chin on his closed fists. "Even if he striped down naked and left his clothes behind, he'd never ever leave his pokemon behind. He'd die before he did that." John fiddled with his thumbs as he sat there thinking about what his younger brother was doing ... or who did something to him? "We'll if someone really did do something to Daniel, then that'd mean trying to track down every one of his enemies and making them talk." he let out a sigh at the thought. "That would take months..." DING DONG. Someone range the front doorbell. "Who could that be at this hour?" he wondered as he got up off the chair and walked out of the kitchen and to the front door. Placing his hand on the knob and turning it, the door made a slight squeak as it was pulled open. "Hello?" A slender form stood on the porch. A woman with long black hair, a few locks braided in the back and the rest was straight. Several strands hung over her face. She was wearing a gray coat with light pink gloves and blue jeans with matching shoes. She wiped a strand of hair from her brown eye's with her left hand as she stood there in the wind. "Hello, John." "Jennifer?" he looked at her puzzled. "What are you doing out here in the middle of the night?" he opened the door wider and stepped to the side to allow her to enter the house. Walking into the warm house she removed her coat and hung it up on a coat rack that was standing next to the door. "I came to see Daniel," she said looking around. "Where is he? He was supposed to come by the library to help me study." John just started laughing at what she said. "Daniel!? Library!? Study?!! That's a good one..." he looked up at her and saw she had a serious look on her face. "Oh. Your weren't joking." Cough, cough. "I don't joke. now where is he?" she asked harsh tone. John just paused in thought as he tried to figure out what he should tell her. If he told her he vanished, she's liable to flip out. He and everyone in town knew that they had a thing for each other. Though they both do try to deny it. "Well, he's... ah." he scratched the back of his head as he tried finding the words in his brain. "He's... out of town." "Out of town?" she looked at him and un tucked a part of her white shirt out of her pants. "Where'd he go?" she asked a little angry that he didn't tell her he was leaving. "Where?" John said looking around the room. "Where... Uh, at our... grandmothers..." Jennifer looked at him for a minutes. "Your grandmothers?" "Yeah," he looked back at her. "He's got a new job or something up there." he said putting on an act like he didn't really know everything about it. "He said he'd be there working for a few months I think." "He just rushes off out of town to a job he never even told me about?" her voice was even more angry then before. "I don't believe that man. Idiot." "Yeah, he is." John said seriously. "But I'm sure he'll come running back home soon enough. He always does when he tires to get out of here." Sigh. "Well, do you have your grandmothers number so I could call?" "... No. She's very old fashion." he said the first thing that popped in his head. "She doesn't have a phone." "Oh. Well, alright." she said with a sigh. "I guess I'll see you around." she said walking back to the door and picking her coat off the rack and slipping it back on. Opening up the front door and stepping out back onto the porch she turned and waved goodbye to John before going back to her car parked in front of the house. Closing the door after she had left and leaned his back against the door and sighed in relief. "If he's still alive... I'm ganna kill him." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------ 'What happened...?' Daniel thought as he tried to open his eye's. That Chansey's goatt'a powerful sweet kiss attack. That's what went through his mind as he laid still. Then he realized that he was wrapped in something soft and warm. And he could smell some kinda shampoo sent he thought. When he opened his eye's the first thing he saw was the sleeping face of a young girl in front of him. Then he saw that this girl had her arms wrapped around him and was hugging him tight like a teddy bare. "What the...?" he looked at her not knowing what to make of her. She looked like someone he saw before though he wasn't sure who. Looking closer she looked a lot like. "Nurse Joy?" he said puzzled then looked around the room he was in now. It was a pretty good sized room with pink wallpaper around it. There was a ceiling fan just up above in the middle of the room. A sturdy wooden vanity dresser stood across from the bed. There was a closeted on the other side with two mirror doors. There was also a small TV across the bottom of the bed so someone could watch it while sitting or laying on the bad. There was a desk in the corner of the room with a computer on it and there was a lot of paper on one side. His gazes fell back on the young girl. Was this Nurse Joy's daughter? There was no other explanation, she looked just like her. Only a lot younger, around 10 probably. "But what am i doing in this girl's room?" he asked himself as he tried to wiggle out of the girls embrace. Knock, knock. "Joy, get up. you don't want to be late to the lab do you?" he heard Nurse Joy's voice come from the other side of the door to the room. The young girl began to stir a little from the sudden noise. "All right, mama." she called back sleepily, then she opened her blue eye's and looked at the pikachu who was looking back at her. "Good morning Pikachu!" she sat up still holding the little yellow electric mouse in her embrace. Daniel didn't really like the fact he was being held like a stuff animal. This body was already annoying him. This girl looked like she'd stand only 4'7" to him in his human body. But now she's over three times his size and holding him in her arms like he weighed nothing at all. "Sorry little guy, but I gott'a change really fast!" Joy said down at Pikachu as she petted his head with her left hand a few times and then opened her bedroom door and sat him on the ground outside the door. Closing the door she looked for something to wear to the lab to get her starter pokemon. "Why is it ya never can find anything to wear when ya really want to?" she asked herself with a slight laugh void of any hummer. Outside the door Daniel just stood looking at the door for a moment. "Well," he said looking around his knew surroundings. "this is where our own home town Nurse Joy lives? Not bad." walked down the hallway and came into what looked like the front room. This room was painted blue and had a modern family feel to it. There was a big flat screen TV next to the wall and a dark, almost black, blue couch that sat in front of it. There were many family pictures framed and hung up on the wall. There were some cool looking plants and statues that decorated the room. "Man, I knew being a doctor was profitable, but this is something else." Daniel marveled at the room. "Being married to a world pokemon league champion doesn't hurt either." the familiar voice of the egg pokemon from the pokemon center stated from behind him. As he turned, sure enough, there she was. The Chansey from before. "You again..." he said dryly. "You don't sound very happy to see me." Chansey looked down at him with a grin. "And after that sweet kiss last night too." she said with a laugh. Daniel just twitched his ears in annoyance. "Very funny." he said sarcastically. "When I met you as a human, I didn't like you when I didn't understand you then." he told her turning his head to the side. "And it hasn't improved, trust me." "Oh yeah. When you were... Human. Right." Chansey said looking at him with skeptical stare. "Your brains must have gotten scrambled up pretty bad." Daniel gave her a dirty look and was about to say something when someone else entered the room to join them. "That's enough." it said with a deep and powerful voice. Turning his head he saw huge figure standing before them. Red hot feather's all around it's body. What looked like two horns growing from it's beack. It's long feathery main that made it's way around this pokemon's chest in an upside down V and a short pointy tail. It's powerful leg's wrapped in thick feathers. This pokemon towered over the both of them standing about 6'3" tall. 'A Blaziken.' Daniel said to himself in his mind. 'And it looked extremely powerful.' he added in silent thought. "That he is." another voice spoke up, but this one was more gentle and feminine. A tall, to his point of view, slender body formed beside Blaziken out of a sudden blue light. As it's form revealed it's self out of the blue light Daniel saw an elegant new pokemon. Her body looked like she was wearing a beautiful white and green dress, but it was in fact a part of her. There was some kind of upside down triangle looking shape on her chest and back it seemed and green hair with pretty big red eye's. "Your a Gardevoir." Daniel stated out loud. "Hey, did you just read my mind?" his voice went from awe to angry in a matter of seconds. "Sorry. I didn't mean to pry. But my psychic powers some times have a mind of their own." she explained in a regretful tone. "You two are Maces pokemon. The two time Kanto League Champion." Daniel looked at the two of them. "You guy's were awesome in the last league tournament! ... Even though you were the once who beat me..." Cough. Cough. "You were in last years tournament?" Blaziken asked. "I don't believe I remember you." "That's cause... Oh never mind. You wouldn't believe me anyway." he said giving up on explaining it all the freaking time. "He says he used to be human." Chansey told them patting Daniel on the head with her shot stubby arm. "Thank's." he said sarcastically while glaring at her. "You did?" Gardevoir asked in a surprisingly convinced tone. "That's amazing! How did you turn into a pikachu?" "Gardevoir," Chansey interrupted. "your to gullible. All someone has to do is tell you the sky is falling and you'd believe it." "That's not true!" Gardevoir said defensively. "Only if they were a friend..." she added with a voice just louder then a whisper twirled her finger's around next to each other. "Stop picking on her." Blaziken said looking down at the two smaller Pokemon. "And a human can't just suddenly become a pokemon just like that. It's impassable." "Wish you told me that before I did..." Daniel said with more sarcasm. "Place let's not fight." Gardevoir pleaded with her friends. "We should try to get to know our new friend." she said looking down at the yellow mouse in the middle of the disputing. "You sure seem pretty friendly towards him already." Chansey stated. "Not falling for a mouse are we?" "What?" Gardevoir said shockingly. "No, don't be silly. But Miss Joy said he was okay, and that's enough in my book." she said folding her arms together. "That's our Gardevoir. What ever Miss Joy says she follows." Chansey said with a slight grin and a laugh. "You'd think you were her pokemon instead of me." Gardevoir just blushed slightly. "Can we get back to the subject at hand?" turning her attention back down to the pikachu. "So what happened to you yesterday? Miss Joy said you were in an accident." "I was?" he said humorously. Then thinking about it he realized they'd never believe him even if he did tell the truth... for once. And they'd probably thing he was still sick and keep him here even longer if he didn't play his cards right. Then he'd never get to the ruins and get the diamond back and be stuck in this body for lord knows how long. "Yeah... I was..." he said trying to come up with a convincing lie. "It's all comin back to me. I wandered into the ruins after they dug it up. Yeah. I was hit by a falling rock off the ceiling." "You sure changed your tone." Chansey said with suspicion. "I GOTTA GO!! BYE EVERYONE!!" Joy said as she rushed out of her room and out the door heading to the Pokemon Lab in Rannew Town. "That's one loud kid." Daniel said to himself. "So, Pikachu." Blaziken looked back down at him. "Please, call me Daniel." he said back. "Daniel? Is that what your trainer called you?" "My trainer?" Daniel looked up with a confused stare. "You did say you were in the last tournament in Kanto." Blaziken said with a puzzled look of his own. "You would have had to have a trainer to enter it right?" he added Daniel just kinda looked at him with a blank stare for a minute. "The tournament?" Then he remember what he said before about beating beaten by the two fully evolved pokemon. "OH, right! That!" he put on a kind of awkward smile as a sweat drop formed on the side of his head. "Yeah, of course I did! Haha!" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------ The enough girl, Joy, ran down the dusty road though the forest that led to the pokemon lab, ran by Dr. Komeso, as fast as her leg's could carry her. "I hope I'm the first one there!" she exclaimed with a tiring out voice. "I can't wait to pick my first partner!" she add turning a corner on the road. "Watch out!" Bam! Joy seemed to run head first into someone else coming the opposite direction. "Ow." she got back up on her feet rubbing her head. "Gomen! I wasn't paying attention!" Joy apologized bowing her head. "That quiet alright my dear." an elderly woman said as she dusted off her shoulder. Even though Joy just ran head on into this old lady she hardly seemed very fazed by the collision. She wasn't even knocked off her feet like Joy was. The elderly woman dressed in wight and green robes, like the kind you'd see people wearing in ancient times. Her hair was a brilliant white, though the cloak over her head made it impassable to tell how long it was. Joy looked into her green eye's, they were kind but there was much knowledge in them as well. She had old beat up, slip on, green shoes. She was also holding a walking stick made of very fine and very strong wood. "I'm very sorry, Ma'am!" she said even more apologetically when she realized she hit an elderly woman. "I can be kind of a klutz some times!" "My dear, just take a deep breath and calm down. I'm fin." the elderly woman said reassuringly. "But if I may, where are you off to in such a rush?" "I'm heading to the lab to pick out my starter pokemon." Joy replied. "Oh, the lab! I gotta go!" she added running off again. "Haha. Young people. Full of energy and life." the elderly woman said to herself watching Joy dash off into the distance in a cloud of dust. Joy rushed as fast as she could, hoping that little collision didn't slow her down to much. "There it is!" Joy said with a smile as the top of the roof of the lab came into view out from the tree tops. "I hope I'm not to late!" the rest of the building started to come out as she got closer. It was a huge building that was shaped like a giant egg sticking half way out of the earth. It looked like it was leaning on another smaller building, this one looked more normal, but it was actually a part of it. Behind the building there were many vast and different landscaping for each type of pokemon in the lab. Water, ground, rock, ghost, psychic, etc. The tall structure had five stories to it and on top of it a large satellite dish stood facing the sky. Soon she reached the front of the building and ran up the steps to the front door of the lab. As she neared the door, it suddenly swung open as someone was walking out. Joy collided with a young man around her age and they both took a tumble backwards into the doorway. "Ow. This seems to be happening a lot." she complained pushing herself up and looking down to the person she just crashed into. "YOU!!" she shouted angrily. "Well, well. If it isn't little Joy." the young man said looking up at her. "You mind getting off me?" As she got up off him she started brushing herself off. "Yuck! I hate falling into slime!" "Hah, funny." he replied to her comment. "Didn't know that Miltank's could talk." he said with a big grin. "OW!!" the grin faded how ever after Joy stomped on his foot with all her strength. "You little..." "Children, that's enough." Dr. Komeso said walking into the room where the two young ones where bickering. "Joy, glad you made it." "Dr. Komeso! Don't tell me he got the first pick!" she shouted pointing at the boy was had been fighting with. "Well, Yori did get here before the rest of you, so it was his right." Komeso told her. "Dang!" Joy exclaimed in annoyance. Then paused for a moment. "Wait. You said 'rest of you' right? That's mean's that there were already other beginner's here?" "Yes I'm afraid so." Komeso answered her adjusting his glasses. Joy just stood there silent for a minute looking blankly at Dr. Komeso. "Don't tell me that... that..." "All the pokemon are gone." Dr. Komeso finished for her. Yori let out a laugh as he patted Joy on the back. "Well, they say better luck next time! Or next years! But by then I'll already be league champion!" Joy turned her head slowly and glared at him with eye's burning with anger. "Get her hand off me before I remove it permanently." Yori took his hand off her back and backed away a few steps. "Er... yeah well, you don't scare me..." he said with a betraying nerves tone. "Anyway! I gotta jet! Places to go, battle to win! See ya around, Joy." he waved to her as he walked out the door and down to the road. "I can't believe I let myself get beat by that... BAKA!!" Joy shouted hating herself for losing to Yori. "Well," Dr. Komeso cleared his throat. "I do have a suggestion." he walked back into the room he had come from before, his white lab coat trailing behind him as he walked. "This way." he motioned Joy into the room. Confused, she followed him anyway. "What do you mean a suggestion?" Coming into the room there were many computers and monitors all with weird lights and reading's Joy couldn't even begin to make sense of for the life of her. There were some big machine's that she had no idea what they were for or did, but they looked important. 'Wow.' Joy thought as she walked with Dr. Komeso. No matter how many times she's seen this place she can never get used to it. Walking up to what looked like a small dome in the middle of the room. There were four circular holes in the top of it. Two of them were already opened up but the fourth one was still covered with a metal plate that fit over the hole perfectly. "You may still have some hope." Dr. Komeso prest a button at the bottom of the four circular hole and it opened up and a poke'ball rose up from inside the dome like machine. Picking the ball up from it's pedestal, Dr. Komeso held out his hand for Joy to take it. "I was saving this ball for such an emergency. It may be empty but it also may help you get your starter pokemon." Joy looked at the poke'ball in Dr. Komeso's hand with a puzzled stare. She took the ball from his hand and help it up to her face. "Just how's this supposed to help me get a starter pokemon?" Joy asked looking back up to Dr. Komeso. "With it alone it won't." he reached into his lab coat and took out another poke'ball. "But with help from Teddiursa you can catch one." he said fixing his glasses again. "It's not a very commenly used tactic for beginner trainers. But it's not un hared of." Joy looked at him a little surprised. She never knew you could catch your own starter pokemon before. Was it really passable? "You mean you'll lend me your Teddiursa to catch my own beginner's pokemon?" she asked with an inquiring gaze. Dr. Komeso nodded with a smile. "As long as you can find one your able to catch. I know you'll do fine. You have the blood of both a league champion and one of the worlds best pokemon doctors." he encouraged. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------ To Be Continued. Thanks for reading! I'm still working out a few thinks for chapter two. And if you'd like to send some feed back, wither good or bad, I'd be happy to hear it. I don't claim to be a perfect writer and my grammar can be pretty bad at times. (Sweat drop) But if you are gonna point of my flaws, witch I have no problem with, please do so in a appropriate manner. I won't reply to flaming, or spam. :P ^-^ If your wondering about the young Joy, Nurse Joy's daughter, I always wanted to write a story where she becomes a real trainer instead of a pokemon doctor. X3 And as for Gardevoir and Blaziken. Their two of my favorite pokemon, and I always wondered what it'd be like if they could talk. :)
