Somewhere inside of Mt. Chimney, tow figures stood with mining hats on. The red tint of the mountain’s inside went good with their black cloaks. Yoshimari and Tsubimi watched as a small black tank with a drill-nose at the end plowed through the rocky wall. At their feet were tow gray sacks filled with evolution stones. “I have to admit, Yoshi, this digging for stones idea was pretty good.” Tsubimi watched the mountain inside tremble a bit. “Thanks, it’s a simple plan; first, we find a bunch of evolution stones, then we sell them to get rich, and after that, we do it again.” Yoshimari beamed with pride as his plan. Tsubimi did the same. “A good way to fill our pockets quickly. Ha-ha!”

Meanwhile, the Numel led the way through Mt. Chimney. Landon, May, Zeru, Bruno, and their Poke’mon followed silently. The heat caused the air to be a little thinner than outside. Nevertheless, t eh cave was still a wonder to them. They could see specks of evolution stones sparkle form inside the walls like jewels. They could feel the pulls of hunger attacking them again, but knew that another benefit to helping the Numel was to get to the Chimney shack faster. The Numel lead them down twists and turns, till they stopped at a spot where a bit of light came from the side wall. Landon was the first to glance in, followed by his friends. Beyond the natural threshold lay a  very vast and rocky room. Cliffs and dips gave the room a weir sort of formation. All around the cliffs were a bunch of sleeping Geodude and another breed of rock Poke’mon. These Poke’mon were like rugged boulders with four arms and nasty grins on their faces. “Graveler,” Bruno whispered. In the middle of the room was a camel Poke’mon larger than Numel. Its fur was red like magma except for its white snout ant three blue rings on its sides. The humps on its back looked like tow rocky volcanoes ready to explode. Its hooves were black as coal and its feather-tuft of hair swayed slightly. This Poke’mon was obviously Camerupt. Landon’s eyes narrowed suddenly and he clenched his teeth; around Camerupt, he could see a purplish-black aura outlining its entire form it was the same dark energy Landon had seen around the Darkhorn Admin’s Poke’mon. “What is this dark energy surrounding these Poke’mon?” Landon thought to himself. Phealine climbed up onto Landon’s unoccupied shoulder, pinning her ears back and hissing lightly. “Can you see it too, Phealne?’ Landon asked and she nodded.

Suddenly, the entire area started to rumble like crazy. Landon held onto the side of the threshold to keep himself from falling. Bruno held onto May and Zeru and the Poke’mon held onto the humans. The rumbling caused rocks from above into the room to come crashing down in a crumbling mess. The loudness caused the cave-dwelling Poke’mon to stir wildly, waking up very irritably. Camerupt was also furious form its disturbed sleep that it hurled spurts of flames form its back. “W-w-w-w-what’s going on?” May’s voce trembled. “I don’t know.” Zeru cried. “Whatever it is,, this must be what caused the Geodude and Graveler to invade Numels’s home!” Bruno exclaimed. Landon tired to push his bangs form his face, but they fell right back in the process. “Landon, watch out!!” there was a quick rush of wind and Landon felt his shirt jerk up; Bruno was now carrying him, May, and Zeru! Toya, Phealine, and Phanpy held on tight to their trainers as Bruno and Machoke burst through the threshold in a might jump. Landon looked back to see a rather large boulder go into a crash-and-crumble where they once stood. “Whoaa…” He breathed. Bruno and Machoke landed onto the rocky ground with a firm plop. May and Zeru were still a bit shaken from the jump and didn’t fully stand up when Bruno set them down. Landon dusted his pants off and looked forward. At that, he, Toya, and Phealine tensed up. Bruno and Machoke clenched their teeth and fists. “What’s everybody looking at?” Zeru blinked. “I don’t know.” May replied, just as confused. However, as soon as they glanced forward, they clenched their teeth in fear. The group of Geodude and Graveler were inching towards them, all sporting aggressive expressions. Camerupt marched behind them with its eyes glowing an evil red. The Poke’mon inched forward, hinting danger in the air around them. Landon gave a frightened gulp and another step back. The growling of the Geodude, Graveler, and Camerupt intimidated him a bit. Landon clenched his fists and gave a quivering frown. His job as an Origin Waker came first before fear—he had to dispel the darkness enshrouding Camerupt. “Hey, Zeru, are you up for a Poke’mon battle?” He glanced back and Zeru grinned. “You know it.” Both of them reached to their belts and retrieved a Poke’ball. “Camerupt, we challenge you to a Poke’mon battle!” They said together. “Caaaaaaam!!” Camerupt let out its battle cry and Geodude and Graveler echoed it. Landon and Zeru tossed the poke’balls to the ground and they burst open, revealing Bayleef and Charmander. “Bay-ee! Bay-eee!” Bayleef stretched her legs, happy to be out of her poke’ball. Charmander, who looked a little drowsy, shook itself awake and scratched its head under its nightcap. “Char…” It swished its tail, but didn’t get up.

“Camaaaa!” Camerupt cried and the rock Poke’mon dashed forward. “We’ll handle Geodude and Graveler; you take care of Camerupt.” Landon suggested and Zeru nodded. Bayleef read her trainers mind as they both dashed off to the side. Just as they planned, the group of Geodude and Graveler followed them. With its partners straying away, Zeru and Charmander could battle Camerupt without interference. Landon and Bayleef slid to a stop to face their opponents. “Bay!” BANG!! Bayleef tackled her trainer affectionately with a sharp bite to the arm to show that she was ready to fight. By now, Landon was use to it and combined his wince with a grin. “Let’s do this.” Stroked her head and let her step forward. “Geoooodude!” A few Geodude launched their bodies forward in a flying tackle. “Okay, Bayleef, use Razor Leaf attack!” Landon exclaimed. “Bay-bay!” Bayleef spun her head leaf and launched a fury of razor-sharp leaves spiraling at them. “Duu-u-ude!” A crashing sound echoed as the Geodude crashed to the ground in pain. “Landon, above you!” May pointed above Bayleef. Landon and his Poke’mon glanced up to see that tons of Graveler raining down towards them. “It’s a Rock Throw attack!” Landon exclaimed; both he and Bayleef dashed to the side and up a rocky ramp to a higher level. There were loud crashing sounds as the Graveler crashed onto the ground. “Good job, Bayleef. Now, try a Vine Whip attack!” “Bay-ee!” Bayleef jumped into the air, letting loose a duo of green vines form her leaf necklace. The two vines shot through the air, delivering harsh smacks to each of the Graveler like two whips. “Graveler!” “Graa!” “Velerrr!” They growled. Their eyes glinted and they rammed Bayleef in a sharp, quick tackle. “Baayyy!” She cried. “Ack!” Landon fell to one knee, hugging his arms. “Bayleef, are you okay?” he asked through clenched teeth. “Bay,” Bayleef nodded, stepping back up on all fours. “Geooo!” The Geodude tried to rush another tackle. “Bayleef, Absorb!” “Baaay!” The leaves around Bayleef’s neck glowed a shimmering yellow in color; all of the Geodudes’ bodies did the same and started to become drained of their energy. While Bayleef became stronger, they became weaker. By the time they reached their target, they were too weak to even bump into her. “Good job, Bayleef!” Landn shouted and Bayleef wagged her tiny tail. “Graveler—” “Graveler—” “Graveler—” Graveler!” Each of the Graveler rolled over in different spots. While one stepped in front of Bayleef, the other took the opposite side. It took a little while for Landon to see that they were forming a circle around her. “Bayleef—it’s a trap! Defend with your Effect Spore ability!” Landon said, flailing for directions to give. In a frantic notion, Bayleef closed her eyes and let a blue powder drift into the air around her. Lnaodn wa too high up to worry about getting hit with it. The Graveler, however, got it full blast in the face and became drowsy. Their eyelids dropped, soon followed by their bodies. “Whew!” Landon let out a relieved breath. Then, he jumped down and started for his Poke’mon. “Great work, Bayleef.” “Bay!” BANG!! Bayleef tackled Landon down, slobbering his face with tons of poke’kisses. “Okay, okay—stop!” Landon giggled.

WHOOOOSH! Charmander jumped over a powerful stream of fire that burst from Camerupt’s throat. “Good job, Charmander.” Zeru complimented, “Now give that Camerupt a Torch-Tail attack!” “Charman!” Charmander rushed across the rocky ground towards Camerupt; as it jumped into the air, a few pebbles were kicked up. “Charrr-mander!” With a spin, it brought the tip of its tail across Camerupt’s face. “Meruuupt!” Camerupt staggered. Charmander landed in perfect form, folding its arms. Camerupt’s eyes narrowed; the fur on its body started to sway form its wind of energy. “Camerrrrupt!” It stomped its front hooves on the ground, releasing a quaking wave of power. “Whoa!” Everyone including the Numel beside the threshold, fell to the ground. “That was a Magnitude attack!” Zeru exclaimed. “Meruuuupt!” Camerupt let out a cry and started charging forward. Landon could see the dark aura around it pulsing. “Charmander, dodge and scratch!” Zeru exclaimed. Charmander dashed forward in a powerful rush; it then pulled to the side and swiped Camerupt’s side with its sharp claws. “ruuuu!” Camerupt slid to a painful halt. With a dangerous glint, it remained angry for a while. Then, it closed its eyes to let its body relax. The black aura around it webbed into the air wildly form its power output; its fur swayed form its wind of power. “Cameruuu—upt!” Suddenly, Camerupt’s eyes opened in a flash. The cave room started to rumble as if another quake had been released. This one, however, was much more powerful. “An Earthquake attack!” Bruno exclaimed, starting to sweat. Rocks from above started dropping to the ground all around them harshly. One fell directly in front of Landon and Bayleef jumped off of him. “Oh-no—I need to rid it of that evil aura now!”  He thought to himself, “If I don’t, we’ll get crushed!” The Numel above were in so much confusion that they all took a tumble down into the room.

Meanwhile, Yoshimari and Tsubimi were also suffering the effects of the Earthquake attack. They looked up to see a great quantity of rocks raining from above. “What’s going on?” Tsubimi blinked. “I’m not sure….dah!” Yoshimari gave a sudden shriek when his eyes fell on the digging machine. “What is it?” Tsubimi blinked and Yoshimari pointed forward. The boulders from above pelted the machine so much that it was starting to spark. “If that continues….” Tsuibimi said, both her and her brother sporting frightened looks. “We could end up—” SPWAAAAA-KABOOOOM! The machine exploded with a burst of light, sending Yoshimari and Tsubimi soaring through the cave tunnel. However, they were sure to keep a good grip on their bags of goods. “No fair! We weren’t in this episode long either!” Tsubimi cried. “Who wrote this junk anyway?” Yoshimari asked. “Some kid named Thaisamba.” “We’ll get him!” They were spat out of the cave and into the air.

Landon, Bayleef, and Toya stood by their friends, swatting, swinging, and squirting at the boulders falling at them. The Numel huddled by Bruno and Phanpy and Phealine sought refuge by Charmander. “I have to find a way to use the Fang Sword without letting my friends see.”  Landon thought to himself while swinging the Sakaba-tou, “But how—!” Landon’s eyes widened as Camerupt came rushing towards him. Its eyes were glowing an evil red and the shadow aura increased in size. Landon started to sweat, too frozen in place to move. “Oh-no!” “Landon!” “Get outta’ the way!” His friends shouted, but he couldn’t make a move. All he could do was gawk at his attacker. “Numellll!” “Huh?” There was a burst of sizzling-hot flames that fired from our Landon’s head; the Numel directed the Flamethrower attacks to their berserker leader and tripped it up. “Cameruuuu!” BANG!  It crashed harshly onto the ground. “….I’ve got it!” Landon snapped his fingers and took a poke’ball from his belt, “I choose you, Raichu!” He hurled it through the air and it burst open in a bright light. “Raiii!” Raichu jumped out with its cheeks sparking. “Raichu, use Flash!” Landon exclaimed. “Rai?” Raichu glanced back at him in question. “Yeah, a Flash attack.” Landon winked at it. It took a little bit for Raichu to understand to understand, but once it did, it grinned back at him. “Raiiiiii-chuuuuu!” Suddenly, Raichu’s body burst with a bright light. The illumination was so bright that May, Zeru, and Bruno had to cover their eyes. Landon had to do the same as well, but with a slight difference; he could sense the shadow aura vibrating from Camerupt’s body. He held out the Sakaba-tou and focused on the training he did earlier that morning. His wind of power started to swirl all around him; the metallic structure of the Sakaba-tou flashed into a wooden bokutou marked with the ancient inscriptions. “….here I come, Camerupt!” With his eyes still shut, Landon rushed forward. As he did so, the Fang-Sword let off a Crystal wisp of energy. He jumped into the air and raised his sword over his head. “Disperse!” Landon‘s fang started to vibrate once he brought the Fang sword down through the air. In his mind, he could see the pulsing shadow energy as clear as he could when his eyes were open. There was a swift and sharp beat that echoed through the now-fading light. Landon landed on his feet and held the sword to the side; at his will, it changed into the Sakaba-tou. Raichu’s luminous attack faded out and it sat on the floor with an innocent look. Landon let his eyes open just in time to see a black speck of light shoot out of Camerupt’s body. “It’s that light again! What’s going on around here?” He thought to himself. May, Zeru, and Bruno let their eyes open as well. With Camerupt down, they didn’t have to worry about the Earthquake attack any more. Landon’s breathing was slightly hard; using the Fang-sword left him a little tired.

Landon, May, and Zeru stood before Bruno and Machoke in one of the vast corridor paths of Mt. Chimney. Toya sprawled her body on Landon’s head and Bayleef stood beside her trainer. Phanpy took Zeru’s shoulder and Phealine was in May’s arms. Camerupt and the Numel stood behind Bruno. “The Earthquake that Camerupt caused actually did some good.” Bruno told them, “It shook parts of the mountain loose for the Geodude and Graveler to live in. You guys did great in helping the Numel.” “Are you going to go to the Tomodachi Springs, Bruno?” May asked. “Nah, not just yet. I’m going to stay here to help get Camerupt and the Numel back on their feet.” Then, Bruno held out his hand to Landon, “Good luck on your Poke’mon journey. May you and your friends be the best at whatever you do.” “…thanks, we will!” Landon smiled and shook it. As the friends walked away, they waved goodbye and Bruno and the Numel waved back. “I can’t wait to get to the Chimney Shack.” “Bay-bay!” “Mud-kip!” Landon smiled and his Poke’mon agreed.
