A STRANGE ENCOUNTER "Something is happening..... Something strange." Ray said and turned to her friends. "What?" asked Amara almost instantly. Ray turned back to the room where Amy and Kari were. "I don't know." Ray admitted. There was a huge boom as the door exploded open. Amy ran out and turned to the smoke that began to clear. "Are you all right?" gasped Lita. "Kari disappeared!" Amy cried, stating she was fine. "Why?!" cried Amara. "I knew this would happen." sighed Blaze and shook her head. "What happened, Amy? Explain yourself." Ray told Amy quietly. "I was typing on the computer when the tank she was in exploded. When I was able to see, she was gone. I'm not even sure if the transformation worked." Amy said and shook her head sadly. Ray nodded. "Why won't Kari just let us help?" asked Saraya from behind them all. "Who knows and who cares. We have to go after her!" Mel said and May nodded in agreement. "It's no use. If she won't let us help her, we can't." Erika pointed out. "Erika's right. Let her be." Amara said quietly. Everyone turned to look at her. Amara looked out the window at the full moon. "We are enemies, and that can't change." she whispered into the night. * * * Ash sat staring at the rising sun from the window in the Poke'mon Center. Him and his friends had stayed for the night. They would continue there journey to the next gym soon. Ash had lost the battle against the gym leader Lexy and was on his way to try another challenge. "Pika pi?" came Pikachu's voice. Ash looked down and his friend who hopped up on his shoulder. Ash stood up. Misty, Gato, Brock and Tiger came over. "Ready? This gym's really close." Tiger informed him with a toothy smile. Ash nodded. "Hopefully this gym leader doesn't have one of those weird Poke'mon Lexy had." Brock said as they made there way out. "Wonder what it was." Misty pondered. "My Pokedex didn't have anything before. Maybe now it can give me something." Ash said, recalling when he had had Prof. Oak update it. He opened it and scrolled though the names. He then looked at each picture till he found what he was looking for. As soon as the Pokedex beeped at him for finding the picture, something strange burst into Ash's mind. It was a picture. A picture of a dark cave and a gloomy day. People entered the cave and began shouting and shooting guns at a yellow Poke'mon. "Metalato the mind-reading Poke'mon. This Poke'mon goes by the ancient name, Blade, which means "dangerous killer". This Poke'mon has the able to link it's fear, pain and other feelings into someone else's mind." the Pokedex chirped in, bring Ash back to reality. "I've never herd of that Poke'mon." Misty said while Ash put his Pokedex away. "It's a new one from a very old legend. The legend states that this Poke'mon linked it's feeling into the mind of a young and beautiful princess. Every pain he felt, she felt. Every bad thing he did, she would do it. She was not aware she did this, but she soon became aware. She feared she would hurt her loved one and her family. She then killed herself one night. Because her feelings were linked to Blade, he was killed as well. Now some people believe he is alive again, waiting for a new host." Gato explained as they approached the gym. "Where did you here that legend?" came a shaky voice from behind. They all jumped and turned quickly. A young girl stood before them with a feared look on her face. She had purple hair that was tied into knots at the top of her head. The two strands flowed down and stopped at her waist. She wore a pink dress sort of like the Japanese dress's. (You know, the ones they were! ^_^;) The dress had pink flowers on it and she wore sandals "Uh, I herd it from my mom who use to tell us stuff like that." Gato said a little nervously. The girl nodded. "I'm Mika and I would like to know why you are at my gym." she said with nervous glances around the place. "I'm Ash and I was here to challenge the gym leader, which is you." Ash said, a little weirded out by the girl. "Come this way." she said quickly and flew past them. "Just when you think things can't get weirder." Tiger said with a sideways look. They all entered the gym and gasped. It looked like a place inside. There was an arena right there that had torches lit along the wall. At the end was steps that lead to a giant chair that was, guessing off the girl, her's. She took her place along with Ash. "Three Poke'mon each. Ready?" she asked with more nervous glances around the gym. "Uh, yeah." Ash said and blinked at her. "In that case, Vulpix, go!" she yelled and the little fire fox appeared. "Tiger, attack!" Ash yelled and his ice wolf jumped forward. A bell rung and the battle had begun. "Vulpix, Flamethrower!" cried Mika and looked around nervously as if an abstract person were listening. The little orange Poke'mon sent out a blast of flames which Tiger dodged easily. "Take it out in one shot! Roar!" Ash ordered and the wind picked up at great speed. Tiger opened his mouth and let out an invisible blast of wind that rippled the air around it. Vulpix was hit head on. She flew back and smashed though the wall. Mika gasped and cried out in horrible pain. "What's wrong!" Ash cried in shock as she fell to her knees. Instead of answering, she threw another Pokeball. "Get 'em Arcanine!" she ordered and the fire dog appeared. "Tiger, come back!" Ash ordered, still puzzled by her sudden burst of pain. Tiger ran back but stayed at Ash's side. Ash grabbed another Pokeball of his and threw it. "Attack, Jolteon!" he cried and the lightning Poke'mon appeared with a strange screech. "Arcanine, Fire Blast!" cried Mika who was on her feet. The hole in the wall still smoked from where the Vulpix had went though. Mika didn't seem to care and the little Vulpix never emerged. The blast of fire came fast but the Jolteon was faster. He dodged. "Thunder!" Ash shouted and pointed forward. A huge thunder clap was herd as Jolteon released his thunder jolt. It hit the Arcanine and the Poke'mon howled in pain. The fire dog staggered back, burned, but didn't fall. Mika fell to her knees in pain. "What's wrong!" Ash gasped again. Mika pointed at the Jolteon from her knees. "Take Down!" she gasped between sharp pains. The Arcanine ran and smacked himself hard into Jolteon. The lighting Poke'mon was out and Ash returned him. Arcanine was returned and quickly replaced with a Vaporeon. Ash chose Pikachu and the battle started. "Vaporeon, Surf!" Mika ordered, on her feet once more. "She's strange." Gato told Misty. "Hush! That's rude!" Misty told her kitten Poke'mon. "I was just telling the truth." she said and shrugged. Tiger watched in curiosity as Vaporeon rode a surf wave towards Pikachu. The electric mouse was hit. When the water cleared, the dredged Pikachu shook the water and stood for more. "Thundershock!" Ash yelled. "Pi-ka-CCCCHHHHHUUUU!!" Lightning bolts expoluded from Pikachu's body and shocked Vaporeon. The water Poke'mon was out like a light. Her Poke'mon seemed way too weak than normal, Ash thought. "You'd think it could at least put up a fight." Tiger said, thinking the same thing as Ash. Pikachu returned to his trainer and Mika returned Vaporeon, still ignoring the hole in the wall. She walked up to Ash with more nervous darts around the gym. She quickly gave Ash a badge shaped like a crescent moon. "Here, you've won." Mika suddenly looked frightened as if something was about to happen. "Leave! Quickly! Hurry!" she told him and suddenly ran away. "Hey! Come back!" Misty called out in concern but she was gone. Her cries, screams and sobs followed the three trainers out of the gym. "That was beyond spokey." Misty said and shuttered. "Have to agree."Ash said. Suddenly, another picture was sent to Ash in his mind. A Poke'mon screeched it's way from another lifeform Ash couldn't make out. He herd screams and then silents as the Poke'mon stood clamly in the shadows. Ash realized it was Metalato, or Blade, from the Pokedex. Another sence falshed, connected with the first one. The same Poke'mon from the first thought flew and with one blast of thunder sparks, destroyed the village it was flying over. Then, to his horror, a girl ran out from the village. She was crying, screaming and begging for Blade to stop. Then, she ran right off a cliff and plunge into the sea. Blade screeched in pain. His wings stopped and he too plunged into the sea below. Then he herd a beautiful, female voice saying, Will you help me? Please, will anyone help me? Ash shook the whole thing from his head and stopped. His friends stopped with him. "Is something wrong Ash?" Tiger asked. Ash turned and stared back at the gym. "No." he lied. Something inside told him that this whole thing would soon turn into a mess. A mess that would once again leave someone between life and death. However at that time, he had no idea how right he was. To be continued..... Q.O.T.D! (Quote of the Day!) Tai: An egg? I'm behind on these stories and have three million others to write. I guess this news is easier for Jolt, huh? ^_~ Thanks for your understanding and I'll get my stories in as soon as possible.
