Fear...it's an overwhelming emotion.  Luck has it I don't experience such emotions.  Unlike my companions.  I pity such cowardice.  But yet...I feel more like a piece of me is missing.  Why?  I have no use for it!  But...perhaps that is why my companions have survived for so long.  I'm immortal, a curse I happened upon.  Yes, I am the oldest one, but there is this one boy...

Oh my!  I've gotten ahead of myself, introductions are important!  I am Pikachu!  Yes, I do look human.  How?  Then please, sit down and I will tell you.

I will start with my mother and siblings.  Ah, how I miss them so!  But I strayed into a grassy plain.  I had run away from home.  My mother and I fought because of my arrogance.  I left, the last words I shouted...I wish I could take them back.  "MAY YOU ROT IN HECK LIKE FATHER!" I screamed at her as I ran.  That was the last time I saw her.  A fool is what I was, oh yes.  For many days I did stray afar.  Ah, to be untamed!  Yet, I would have to pay in the end.

An old man threw what I now know to be a Pokeball at my back.  I was sucked inside, trapped.  How long was I in there?  That I can't answer.  When I was released, I was in front of a black-haired boy.  A human!  I used to despise these creatures that twiddled with nature.  He seemed excited to have me.  Over the next years, we bonded.  His name was Pikapi.  My Pikapi...Hmm?  You don't know what that means?  Oh, I means Ashton!  Or Ash, for short.  Pikapi was the kindest human I had ever known to exist!  Pikachupi, or Misty, was a little bit untamed herself.  Kapichu, or Brock, annoyed me at times.  Chupipi, or Tracey, was okay.  But my Pikapi!  He risked his life many time for me!  For twenty years, we stuck together until...it came.

It was a horrible thing.  Black robes of the grave cloaked its face.  But when you could see its face, a ghastly blood covered corpse stared back at you through red eyes.  It took my Pikapi; well it tried to at first.  I stood my ground, not letting this thing even look at Pikapi.  If it wanted Pikapi, it would have to fight me.  Pikapi called for me to stop, but I didn't listen.  My own rage ended Pikapi's life.  It took my Pikapi!  My poor Pikapi!  It placed these two curses upon me.  The curse of immortality and the curse of the shapeshifter.   Now you know!  Take the knife by you and jam it into my heart!  End my misery; to be killed by a knife in someone else's hand will I be cured!  Heaven bless you for this deed!  End my life!

Pikachu falls down, the knife stuck in his chest.  Silently, his guest walks out of the house.  The mercy of Death came to Pikachu at last.  Behind Death, the house bursts into flames.  Death walks into the mist, his work done.
