 Inspiration

Oh well, on with the story.

Ash Ketchum stood before the crowd tears of joy ran down his face, he had done it he was the pokemon master of the world.

He had fought every obstacle that had come his way, over come every challenge all for this moment.

The world seemed in slow motion to him as his pikachu ran to him from the centre of the area and leapt into his arms.

He hugged the small creature tightly feeling as the electricity he had grown so accustom to over the years crackled from its fur.

Ash shut his eyes as the tears ran down his tanned cheeks. “We really did it buddy, we’re the best.” Whispered Ash.

He sniffled and looked up at the crowd, there were thousands of people there, many he knew from his journeys and had come to cheer him on and the rest were just fans come to see if a kid from Pallet town could really become the master.

Behind him his two best friends approached grins plastered on their faces.

“Congratulations Ash.”

“We always knew you could do it.”

Ash laughed as pikachu, chirped at them in its language.

Misty laughed, “And you too pikachu.”

Ash’s smile fell a little, he suddenly felt so tired.

He swayed on his feet slightly, he saw the crowd with blotches of black floating around blocking his vision, and then suddenly he felt himself falling into the darkness.

Satoshi Tajiri, bolted up right in his bed. He wiped at the tears in his eyes as the familiar bedroom he had known all 17 years of his life, came into focus.

He blinked a few times as his dream fading away slightly, seeming more like a dream and less like reality.

Slowly he swung his feet over the side of his bed and got up.

He glanced at his desk where his bug collection lay, each bug in a jar with it’s own habitat and what it ate.

Satoshi sat down in his chair and picked up his book that lay open to the bugs he had been studying last night. Bug battles were a popular sport in his hometown all the kids used to collect them and study them.

Satoshi looked through his book, in the book was neatly written the name of each bug and the elements he thought they should fall into like wind, water, fire or grass. Satoshi turned his book to a new page and began to draw. Soon he was adding the final stripes to a small mouse like creature on the page. He took the pen and as neatly as he could wrote the creatures name under the drawing.

“pikachuu” he whispered softly as to not wake anyone else in the slumbering house.

Gently he ran a hand over the rough drawing and sighed, closing the book. The teenager turned to his computer and hit the power switch, waiting for it to load before opening a gaming program for creating video games.
