***AUTHORESS NOTES*** I have never EVER written a romance scene this tacky. If I ever do this again without meaning to, please PLEASE shoot me. This won't be a very long fic, or chapter, just to warn you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 2: Oh, it's Warm Around the Campfire Draco, poor, poor, Draco, was still utterly confused by the time night fell. It was cool outside, not cold and not hot. A nice pine smell filled the air, but it made Draco cough. Hogwarts had certainly never smelled like trees, so why did the outdoors have to? Ash and Misty, the two that reminded him of Potter and that Mudblood, gazed into each other's eyes gushily. Brock, the Weasley like boy with no eyes, cleared his throat loudly. "Draco, why don't we go to collect firewood?" he questioned. Draco snorted. "Why don't you have the house elves do it?" Ash, Misty and Brock looked at him blankly. "The what?" Ash asked in his annoying little voice. "Never mind," Draco muttered and then said something under his breath about doing manual labor. He had never done something himself for his whole life. Brock collected a few twigs and then hid behind a large pine tree. "Watch them," he whispered. Draco hid behind another tree close by. At the campsite, Misty and Ash were quite tense. "Misty?" asked Ash nervously, biting his lower lip. "Yeah, Ash?" she answered. Ash looked at the ground and then back at the redhead. "I think-I think I love you," Ash said after a moment of silence. "I love you too, Ash!" she exclaimed and Draco nearly gagged. These stupid ten year olds thought they knew about love... It was actually rather amusing to watch. Brock smiled from behind the tree. "Aren't they adorable?" he cooed. Draco guessed him to be queer. No straight guys ever cooed. The two preteens kissed from their spots sitting on the logs. Again, Draco thought he was going to be sick. This was even worse than watching that Granger and Weasley pretend that they were just friends, when they both knew they wanted to be together. At least they had the decency not to make out on the road! Brock and Draco grabbed a few nearby logs and went back to the campfire, where Ash and Misty were sitting very close to each other and holding hands. "Brock, Draco! Guess what, we're going out!" cried Misty delightedly. "You two like each other? I would've never guessed," Draco fibbed. "Wow, after all this time," Brock said with a warm smile. After this was all better and he was back at Hogwarts, he would kiss that Mudblood if it meant that he would never have to see these fools again.
