NEVER SAY NEVER BY TORCHICK Cars drifted away slowly from the building, all trying to get a final look of the failed empire. Jessie's feet were rooted to the spot and she was frozen in fear. James bit his lip, not knowing what to say. It was over. It was really over. "So I guess this is it," Jessie said quietly. "Yeah," James agreed. "No more Team Rocket." They stood quietly for another moment. Meowth had been taken away, most of the other Rocket members had left. Their uniforms were gone as well, and both now stood in fear with normal clothing on. Everything had been taken away, and it was all because of the twerps. It wasn't supposed to be like this. They weren't supposed to be seperated. They had been invincible, unbreakable. And now they were lost, utterly lost. "So I suppose we're never going to see each other again," said Jessie in a choked voice. "Never say never," reprimanded James. "There's always a time and place." "I guess we're just going to go back to the way things were before." Jessie was horror-strikken at the thought. A life without James and Meowth, without fun, without all of the light-heartedness, without shared memories. "I'll miss you," James told her and that was all it took for Jessie to burst out in tears. She would miss him more than he'd ever know. "Last call for members going to Kanto," announced the intercom and Jessie picked up a solitary bag. "That's me. Have fun in Hoenn," she said glumly. "Take care," he told her as they embraced one final time. Maybe they WOULD meet again. Never say never.
