***AUTHORESS NOTES*** I found the greatest story eva on fanfiction.net. "Watch Your Back" by Maia's Pen. In that one story, I managed to fall back into two obsessions I dropped a LONG time ago: Egoshipping and Gary Oak. So therefore, I decided to redo this story. Te da! Also, I've only watched 1 Advanced series episode, so I have no clue what goes on. Don't blame me for anything. Consider this sort of AU. Disclaimer: I own nothing but the region Lasona, only mentioned in chapter 1. +~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~ Chapter 01 My feet hurt. My back hurt. And I was majorly irritated with Ash Ketchum, who had just forced me to walk for three hours in a row. Sure, it was a nice day, no wind, no rain, no snow. But give me a BREAK! "Can we set up camp?" I pleaded to the wannabe Pokemon Master. Ash looked disdainfully around the open field. "I suppose so. We're close enough to the next town." Oh, yeah, did I mention that I hated the new region? It's called Lasona, and you go through it after beating Hoenn, which Ash did with that brunette bimbo by his side. Words couldn't even express how happy I was that she was gone. "What IS the next town, Ash?" questioned Brock. It was so great for the three of us to be together again, the original trio. This was how it was supposed to be. I collapsed on a log, next to a small pond. Poliwags and Poliwhirls bounced around happily. I couldn't believe how exhausted I was. It was probably just because I wasn't used to travelling anymore. In the colorful Crayola pink, red, orange and gold sky, a beam of blue became visible in the distance. I blinked, and it was gone. No big deal. I was just seeing things. I was still off. So Brock made his famous "Lazy Boy No Chew Stew" and we ate kind of quietly. I wasn't doubting that he was thinking about May. While he had been happy to see me, I just wasn't the same as May. I had been indefinetely replaced, and while I was here and she wasn't, she was the one in his thoughts. I sat mournfully on the log, a few hours later. What was wrong with me? This was no big deal. Or maybe it was. But I guess the feeling of not being wanted or needed anymore got to me. One minute, I was pitying myself in the sad realization on the calmest night that I could pretty much ever remember, and the next, I was confused as heck, wondering why the mood had changed, as the wind screamed shrilly in each one of my ears. It was giving me a headache... Hopefully Brock had some aspirin. I closed my eyes, though uncertain why. But I do remember being lifted up. And the blue light that surrounded me. +*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+* Okay, I'm sorry that was so short. The next will be longer.
