***AUTHORESS NOTES*** This is a HUGE chapter in the story. No joke about it. It's so big that I couldn't help but split it in two parts. Wow, this is going to be a BLAST!!! Read and review. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Chapter 27A: Crashing the Magma Party, Part 1 "Why is it that there is absolutely no people outside?" asked Zach out loud. I hadn't noticed what he was talking about and I looked over my shoulder. He was right. There wasn't even a Team Magma member. We were the only people stupid enough to venture out. "I don't know, but did you notice that the Team Magma guards left?" Vicky noted. We all turned our heads to the giant hideout outside the city. "She's right. We should go check it out," said Nathan with a huge grin. "Count me in! I would love to bust Taylor's pale white ass!" I chimed in. "How do you know what color his ass is, Jenn?" said Sam with a wicked little smile. "EW! Not like that! We went to a pool party together and someone depantsed him and his ass was face toward me and I saw it... And I tripped and knocked myself and about six other people into the pool..." "Count me out. Busting gang members doesn't sound like a good time to me. I'll go train," Vicky decided. "I'm going with you. I value my life, unlike those two fools," Sam said, giving me and Nathan a glance. "How do you learn your life lessons if you don't do anything risky?" I retorted. "Count me in. I would love to do a photographic expose'," grinned Josh. "I think I'll go with Sam and Vicky..." Zach's voice trailed off. "Fine, suit yourselves. But when we come back as heroes and you whine and complain, we will remind you how you had the chance to come with us!" I told them. "There's no such thing as a dead hero," shot back Sam. "Well, then we're off! Later!" Nathan yelled and he called out his Sealeo to give us a ride up to the hideout, which was surrounded by the sea. The hideout was big, very land-ish, very Team Magma. Definetely a place Taylor would call home. Josh led us to a set of stairs and we climbed up, narrowly missing a Grunt. "Oh my God," I said, looking out. the floor was covered in teleportation pads. We were going to get SO lost. How would we find our way out? "Don't worry, I'll get us out," said Josh with a smile and he did. He did not get any direction wrong. But how could it be? Josh had never been here before. Apparently he was smarter than he suspected. "Welcome to our little lair," greeted someone and standing in front of me all the sudden was a middle-aged man with red hair. I would never forget that face in my life. It was the man that Giovanni had sent out on me. The man in red. The man who had called out his Charizard and nearly burnt me to death. "What are you talking about? Aren't you a part of Team Rocket?" I asked with a raised eyebrow and Nathan and Josh gave me a funny look. The man sighed. "I was in my youth... Giovanni was good to me. But now I, Maxie, am the head of Team Magma! The greatest organization in the world!" "Then why did Giovanni send you out during my battle with him?" I was still not understanding. "He said that an annoying little girl who was all too powerful was trying to stop his plans and he needed my help. So I helped him." He knew exactly who I was. "You nearly killed me! I was in the hospital for almost two monthes! A big whopper after being sent to the same hospital by my abusive ex-boyfriend! Those staff workers knew me by sight by the time I left Johto!" I cried. "But you survived, and Giovanni escaped. You're a lot more powerful than I thought. Which is why you're here," Maxie noted. "No, I'm here with my friends to throw over your organization too!" I yelled. This guy was really pissing me off. "No, I had one of my administrators get you and bring you to me," he explained. He was calm and rational and making me even more mad. "What administrator? I came here by my own free will!" I was enraged. Furious. Had I been followed. "Administrator Josh Hamilton, that's what administrator." "There's someone with the same name as my friend?" I was beginning to be very lost. "No, Miss Frost, it IS your friend," Maxie said and suddenly, something inside my head clicked. But I was still in denial. "No, he's just a photographer!" I exclaimed. But I was realizing that he wasn't... If he was, then why had I never seen him with a camera? How else could he have known how to get around here? "Wow, if you made her believe that without brining a camera along on your missions, than she's either very dumb or you're a good actor," Maxie told Josh. "Kind of both," Josh said and suddenly I was so angry with myself. I had almost lost my friend Nathan because of him, he had kissed me, convinced me that he loved me. I was such an idiot. "Why did you bring me here, though?" I asked. "To make you a part of our team," Maxie said and I wasn't getting what that meant. "Does that mean that you're trying to get me to be a part of Team Magma?" "No, Miss Frost. It means that you ARE going to be a part of Team Magma." "Think again, asshole!" I said indignantly. I was not going to join them. It would make me no better than Taylor. All of the sudden, a bunch of Team Magma members appeared and it looked like they were heading for me, but they weren't. They grabbed Nathan. "It's your choice. You become a part of our team and your little boyfriend can leave here without physical scars, or you keep him for a little while, maybe a couple days, and then he dies. What do you choose, Miss Frost? What do you choose?"
