Chapter 37: Hideout "It's wet! I do NOT like this place!" I moaned. Nathan raised his eyebrow at me. "Well, water is sometimes wet, Jenny," he said sarcastically. "No, really, I didn't know that," I shot back. "Ooh, if you're fighting with Nathan, you must really be in a bad mood," said Vicky. "No, not really. I just don't like being wet and he's making fun of me!" "I am not!" Nathan protested. "Yes you are!" I argued. "Fine, I am. I'm sorry." "Okay. That's what I wanted to hear," I said with a grin. "Are we ever going to stop being thrown in random directions?" asked Sam. "Not for awhile, apparently," Zach answered. "I'm dizzy and I feel sick," I told my companions. "Well, if you throw up, then throw up on your boyfriend," Vicky said in a sickened voice. "Of course! That's what I have him for. Right Nathan?" "Duh," said Nathan. "She doesn't love me, she just uses me as a barf bucket." "Right," I joked with a nod. We made a sharp turn and Vicky and I screamed. I fell right into the water. "I'm drowning! I'm going to die! HELP!" I screamed. Nathan and Zach grabbed me out. "Thanks hon," I said with a grin. "I've been upgraded from barf bag to hon in a matter of minutes. Aren't I special," Nathan said sarcastically but he had a grin on his face as he put his arm around my shoulders and kissed me on my forehead. "Yep. Special education," I shot back and I laid my head on his shoulder. "You two are so cute together!" gushed Vicky. "We know!" Nathan agreed and I faked an agitated look. "Speak for yourself." Nathan took me seriously. "You don't know that we're cute together?" "No, because we're not. We're hot together." "That's hot!" mimicked Sam in a perfect Paris Hilton imitation. "That was so good that it freaked me out," commented Liza. Sam blushed. "You guys are all very mean." "Heck yes!" Zach said, mimicking Napoleon Dynamite perfectly. "Hey Napoleon, give me your tots," I joked and Zach dug into his pockets and produced a handful of tater tots. I raised my eyebrows. "That was just a little freaky." We took another sharp turn but Nathan grabbed me in order to stop me from falling off again. I was cold. Very cold. "Here it is. The door to Groudon," I said, almost mesmerized. "I'll go in. I don't want to put you guys in danger. Maxie is an evil, evil man." As Nathan and I knew now. "Are you crazy? We got here as a team and we'll go in as a team. Besides, Jenny, if anything happened to you in there, I would die." "Really, Nathan?" I asked wide-eyed. "Of course, Jenn. I love you." I grinned at him. "I love you too." "Now are we going to go and kick some Team Magma ass?" "You bet, Pickens. Let's do it."
