Chapter 2: Miss Skeptical Jenn laughed at her older brother. "Yeah, because we're THAT interesting." "This is coming from the girl who's had her name in every newspaper in this area," Bobby remarked. "Bud, I know I'm very loved and very special, but I'm not fascinating enough to stalk." "This is coming from the girl who was stalked by Tyler Hartman last year..." "He did not STALK me... He just had a very big crush!" "Yeah, because smelling your deoderant isn't stalking... And neither is smelling your hair when you're not looking, and of course, we musn't forget hiding in the tree outside your room! That's not stalking at all!" "I hate it when you're sarcastic..." Jenn muttered. "And besides, you would stalk me? BESIDES Tyler Hartman, Bobby." "Someone from Team Rocket?" Bobby hinted. "They disbanded, thanks to moi," she grinned. "You have a miracleworker for a little sister." "I think I just heard you say you were a miracleworker! Does that mean the same thing as 'magnet for trouble and chaos'?" Bobby asked. "Shut up!" she replied and then the phone rang again. Once again, she jumped up like the house was on fire. "It might be Taylor!" she said again. "Hello?" she answered happily and out of breath. "Jenifer..." whispered the person on the other line. At least it was someone other than herself talking. "This is she," Jenn replied, puzzled. "Jenifer..." they whispered again, and Jenn felt herself shiver. "Who is this? Jenifer is on the line!" she asked, beginning to feel annoyed. "Jenn? Jenifer Frost? Your phone is weird!" complained the person on the other line. "Oh, hey Taylor!" she said, recognizing the voice with a grin. Bobby rolled his eyes. So she was right. Finally. A noise ran through the house, which was quiet except for Jenn's conversation. A knock on the door. "Great, now I have to do it," Bobby mumbled as his sister continued chatting with her new boyfriend. When he opened the door, there was no one there. 'That's weird,' he thought. He almost thought that the knock was all in his imagination. Until he saw the envelope. "Of course the mail is for Jenn!" he cried, exasperated. But that wasn't what creeped him out. His sister's name had been cut out from a newspaper, and if she hadn't been sitting in the house, talking to Taylor Flora, he would've thought she had been kidnapped. He dropped the letter in her lap, and she casually opened it. As she read what was written, she turned about five different shades of white. Jenifer Frost didn't look too different from a sheet of paper, colorwise. "Taylor, can I call you back?" she asked, shaken. He answered, more than likely saying yes. "I'll talk to you later. Bye." She hung up the cordless phone. "Bobby?" she called wearily. He noticed that something must've been wrong. "What is it, Jenn?" "Read this." With her hands shaking, she handed him the letter. Roses are red, violets are blue, I've murdered many people. The next one will be you. That wasn't even the most horrifying part of it. "Bobby, is it my active imagination, or is that written in blood?" she cried, her voice beginning to become shrill. "Jenn... I really hate to say this and freak you out more, but I think it is." "This... It has to be some sick practical joke! I mean, we would've heard if a lot of people died. Right? This isn't real. Sam or Taylor or Adam or someone probably thought it would be funny. I'll walk into school tomorrow and they'll be laughing." "I sure hope you're right, Jenn. Because otherwise, you might actually have a stalker. And I mean that like one that doesn't smell your hair for kicks. I think this might be someone who wants to hurt you." At that minute, the middle sibling ran into the house. "Close all the curtains, Bobby! Jenn, lock all the doors! We're going to be attacked!" Jenn looked at her with wide blue eyes. "Brooke, what in the heck are you talking about? Are you high?" Brooke gave her the stink eye (A.N: Such a cool saying. It means the evil eye). "No, Jenn. I mean that Team Rocket is back. And when Alex was walking me home, they shot her. Right in front of me."
