"Go Pokemon!" she yelled, but it was nearly impossible to hear her over the noise. In a flash of white light, an angry looking Typhlosion appeared. "Okay, let's do this!" The Team Rocket members were beginning to surround her, now accompanied by Zubats, Golbats, Koffings, Ekans and the like. "Okay, Typhlosion, use your fire blast!" commanded the petite brunette. A multitude of other attacks were fired. "Dodge them!" That was successful with most attacks, but Jenn noticed that the fire type had been hit with a few of them and looked green around the gills. He had probably been hit with a smog or poison sting or even both. A whirl of red and orange flames lit up the circle in which Jenn and Typhlosion were now trapped in. The power of the inferno scorched the opposing Pokemon, a few cries were wailed but the respective trainers paid no attention. It burned Jenn's insides to see how very little they cared for their Pokemon. A flurry of ice hit some of the Pokemon closest to her, and she had no idea where it had come from. She looked wildly to all of the grunts, and each were as surprised as she was. Finally, she looked behind her, only to find Clayton, Jeff and an aloof looking Piloswine. "Did you really think we were going to leave you alone after we did our part?" questioned Clayton, a broad grin stretching across his face. "Piloswine, use your blizzard!" He turned back to the shocked brunette. "Go take care of Giovanni! We've got these fools!" As if to prove a point, Jeff released a calm, collected Umbreon, who was ordered to use Crunch on some of the nearer Pokemon on the spot. Jenn dove in and out of the crowd, and finally found herself face to face with Giovanni. "I see you got my letter, my dear," sneered the leader of Team Rocket. Jenn scanned her brain and the only letter she could think of was... "The one written in blood?" she inquired angrily. "Ah, so you remember it?" He made it seem like he was bringing up a long treasured memory, instead of a death threat. "Cut the chit-chat, Giovanni. I don't have time for this." A quick glance at her wristwatch told her it was now seven-thirty. She had to leave before her parents knew she was even gone. "If you wish, Miss Frost." Didn't anything ever ruffle him? Apparently not, she decided as he released an enraged Nidoking. 'Type advantages are the way to go,' she thought hastily. Grinning, she released her prized Suicune. Giovanni raised an eyebrow, but as suspected, he wasn't surprised. "Suicune, use your surf attack!" The aurora Pokemon did as she was told, but Jenn wasn't focused on the battle anymore. More on the man that was standing next to Giovanni, with an enlarged PokeBall in one hand. He was tall, probably having already surpassed six feet. His firey reddish orange hair was down to his shoulder, and was long for a guy's but in general, not very long. He was dressed head to toe in red. But the thing that scared her most about him was his eyes. They were unfeeling, and desolate and cold. "Hey, two on one battle! That's not fair!" shouted somebody behind her. Jenn turned back, expecting to see either Jeff or Clayton. Ash Ketchum was climbing up the steps, a Pikachu on his shoulder, both looking furious. Jenn used to have the biggest crush on him, and she remembered that now. The boy, who had been ten when he had been the object of her affections, was now nearly full-grown, tall and broad-shouldered at age seventeen. If the situation had been different, she would've laughed. Her lie to get into the building had been accurate. Ash Ketchum really was going to take down Team Rocket! "Why not make it a two-on-two? Or are you afraid to battle me, Giovanni?" Jenn would've been afraid to. Hell, he was the Pokemon Master! He wouldn't have been given that title if he wasn't good. "Ash Ketchum," he said, extending a hand to the brunette next to him. Now if this wasn't a dream come true, she didn't know what was. She shook his head. "Jenn Frost. It's nice to meet you." "Are you ready to battle?" he questioned and she couldn't help but grin. "You bet! Let's do this!" She was now pumped and ready to battle. She hadn't slept in over twenty-four hours, but it didn't matter. "Let's go, Pikachu!" The yellow mouse climbed off Ash's shoulder and onto the battlefield. The man in red threw out the PokeBall he had been holding. An abnormally large Crobat was released in a shower of white light. "Pikachu, use your thunderbolt!" yelled Ash. It was just beginning. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sorry, that was kinda short. The next one will be along soon! *~Torchick~*
