The Pokémon League Part One(cat. Other trainers) Chapter 1-Capture "Pokéball GO!" Alison cried as she threw the red and white device at the weakened Sandshrew. The Pokéball shook twice, and then stayed still. Alison ran to it and picked it up. She clipped it to her belt and turned to the Chikorita standing beside her. "Good work Chikorita. Return" she said holding another Pokéball and beaming the small, grass type Pokémon into it. She walked along the dusty road, stopping only once to battle a tough Geodude. Unfortunately the only two Pokémon Alison had with her were weak and tired from the previous battle. She decided to call back her Chikorita and make her way to the Pokémon Centre in Viridian City. When she arrived, she noticed a lot of trainers already there. She sighed quietly as she walk through the electric doors and joined a queue of people waiting to see Nurse Joy. As she waited, she heard an angry voice from outside. She turned and saw a red-faced trainer storm through the door with a Totodile. The water type Pokémon looked as if it had been paralysed. The trainer barged past her and the other waiting people. He strode up to the counter with a furious expression on his face. The red colour of his hair made his face look even redder. "I need some help Nurse," he said in a deep voice. Alison guessed he must have been about fifteen years old. "Some idiot paralysed my Totodile" "Couldn't you have waited for me to see the other patients first?" Nurse Joy said looking at a fainted Pikachu in someone's arms. The trainer sighed heavily and went to the back of the queue behind Alison. Alison could see now that the Totodile was in a bad way and needed treatment. "Here," Alison said passing something to the trainer "take this Paralyse Heal" "Thanks," the trainer said gratefully. "I wish there was something I could give you…ah…here" he reached into his bag and brought out a Pokéball. "It's Raticate" he said, "I've got more than one anyway. Be careful. He may not obey you right away. You'll have to get some badges first." "Thanks" Alison said. By this time she had reached the counter. She handed in her three Pokéballs and turned to the red haired trainer. "I'm Alison," she said. "I'm Jason," he replied. "See ya' round". With that he left the Pokémon Centre and headed left down the road. Alison collected her Pokémon and left the Pokémon Centre. A little while later Alison set up her tent in a patch of short grass outside a cave. She wanted to explore but thought it best to wait till morning. She crawled into her small one-man tent and went to sleep. During the night she was woken by something outside her tent. She got up and took her new Raticate with her. There was something in a bush nearby. It suddenly jumped out at her. "Raticate! I choose you!" the rat-like Pokémon came out of it's ball in a brilliant flash of white light. The Phanpy looked up in surprise and then started to flee. "Don't let it get away, Raticate. Use your Quick Attack!" Alison instructed beginning to run after the tiny elephant-like Pokémon. Raticate dashed forward. He caught up with Phanpy and hit it hard with his head. The Phanpy rolled over and lay stunned. "Pokéball GO!" Alison cried as she threw the ball at the weakened Pokémon. The ball made contact and beamed the small creature into it with a beam of red light. The ball shook and then burst open. The Phanpy started to run again, having recovered it's senses. "Raticate, try another Quick Attack!" Alison shouted as she ran faster. Raticate dashed forwards once again, this time when he made contact with the Phanpy, he knocked it out. Alison threw another Pokéball at the wild Pokémon. The ball shook once, twice, three times…and then was still. The white button on the ball flashed dimly red, and Phanpy was caught. ***
