Greene Mesa AFB 0600 hours Airstrip Tango, 2372 “Bring yourself back safe, y’hear?” Lt. Colonel Tibbes turned and walked away from the F-4 Phantom as its pilot closed the canopy and taxied down the runway. “So… who was that?” Ash and Suicune were waiting by the control tower. “Oak.” Tibbes replied simply. Professor Oak did a barrel roll over the airstrip before going to join the squadron. “Wow… Oak…” The civilian airport was cramped as Convent and PRVN soldiers stopped everyone in turn to check their baggage. Then Jessie and James walked up carrying a duffel bag. The soldier sighed. “Ok let’s have a look-see…” After no less that a second of rummaging around, the soldier pulled a Glock out of the bag and set it on the table. Soon after the Glock was followed by panzershreck round, six M80s, a light SMG, and a hunting knife. “Well!” exclaimed the soldier. “I’ll give you six bucks for the knife…” Jessie and James looked at each other. “Umm, sure!” said Jessie as the soldier handed James six dollars. As they proceeded to board the plane, the soldier whirled around and pulled his gun on James, who heard the gun cock and pulled his own 22. ”James! I... it’s not worth it! Put the gun down!” “She’s right, man. Put the gun down…” James looked wildly at the people and than back at the soldier, who dropped his weapon and put his hands up. Somebody in the waiting line screamed, and three armed guards ran up. “No! I’ve always wanted to do this…” James slowly pulled back the .22’s hammer. “I’m telling you man, it’s not wort-“ “SHUT UP!” screamed James, crying now, and emptied the pistol into the soldier’s chest. Six more bullets rang out and James fell to the floor in a puddle of his own blood, dead. “Oh my god, no!!!” Jessie knelt over James as a medic ran up to the soldier and desperately began applying first aid. The crowd was now in a state of panic, and pouring out of the airport in any way they could. Suicune watched as a camouflaged MASH ambulance screamed past him and out the gates of Greene Mesa. “Hmm…” said Suicune to Tibbes. “Wonder what that could be about…” To Be Continued…
